RayNeo’s AR glasses are not one product type. Its display glasses work as a private, wearable screen for a phone, laptop, or console that sends video over USB-C. Standalone models such as the X3 Pro add a camera, AI queries, navigation, and AR overlays, while the iO is built for text and notifications rather than video. Choose by task first. The right model depends on which device you will connect, how long you will use camera and AI features away from a charger, and whether you need prescription lenses.
Which RayNeo glasses do which job
RayNeo’s own 2026 lineup comparison separates its models into three roles: full-color interactive AR, monochrome text and notification displays, and display glasses for media. The table below maps the main models to those roles. It describes product roles and buying checks, not hands-on testing. Device behavior is attributed to the named manufacturer or reviewer. Lineups, bundles, and regional availability change, so confirm the current model on the official store before buying.

|---|---|---|---|
| Air 3s Pro display glasses | Large private screen for video, travel, and compatible gaming devices | Needs a wired host; confirm your exact device outputs DisplayPort over USB-C | TechRadar Air 3s Pro review |
| X3 Pro AI+AR glasses | Standalone AR prompts, camera, AI queries, and navigation | Battery life drops with active use; fit and display alignment varied for the reviewer | TechRadar X3 Pro review |

Air 3s Pro: a wearable screen that needs a host
The Air 3s Pro is the clearest example of RayNeo’s entertainment category. TechRadar’s review lists dual 1920 × 1080 displays, a 60 or 120 Hz refresh rate, 1200-nit peak brightness, a weight of about 76 grams, and DisplayPort over USB-C. The same review says the glasses depend on a phone or laptop to supply the display data, so they are not a standalone media player. Those figures are review-reported specifications for the tested configuration, not guarantees for every host or viewing condition.
X3 Pro: standalone AR with a battery trade-off
The X3 Pro is built for everyday tasks rather than viewing. TechRadar’s review describes a camera, navigation, AI queries, and display overlays that run without a host. The reviewer’s main reservation concerns runtime. Active tasks such as navigation, AI queries, or recording can cut battery life substantially compared with light use. The reviewer’s verdict put it bluntly: “The display is a genuine glimpse of the future. But the future has a small battery, and the X3 Pro’s 245mAh cell is, alongside the price, the device’s biggest obstacle.” That is one reviewer’s assessment, not a laboratory result. If you plan to navigate or record for long stretches, plan your charging around it.

iO: information at a glance
The iO uses a green monochrome display designed for text, notifications, and a dashboard. RayNeo positions it for reading short information in your line of sight, and says it is not intended for video or games. If your goal is seeing messages, prompts, or a schedule without taking out a phone, that focus is an advantage. If you want a screen for films, it is the wrong category.
GT and GT Max: media display models
RayNeo’s comparison places the GT and GT Max in its media-oriented display group. The sources reviewed for this guide do not include an independent review of either model, so specifications and display claims should be checked against RayNeo’s current product pages before you compare them with the Air 3s Pro.

Setting up a private big-screen session
Entertainment use depends on a wired connection chain, which is the step most buyers get wrong. Work through these steps before you buy or travel:
- Check your source device’s video output. Look for USB-C video output with DisplayPort support in the manufacturer’s specification sheet for the exact phone, laptop, or console. Some devices support it and others do not.
- Confirm the cable and adapter path. The Air 3s Pro connects over USB-C. If your console or laptop lacks a direct compatible port, you will need an adapter. RayNeo’s homepage shows Air-series glasses used with a Nintendo Switch playing The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and a PlayStation 5 playing Astro Bot over USB-C. Treat that as a manufacturer example, not a universal compatibility list, and verify the exact chain for your hardware on RayNeo’s official storefront.
- Check the refresh rate your source supports. TechRadar lists 60 and 120 Hz modes for the Air 3s Pro. Whether your source can drive 120 Hz depends on that source, not on the glasses alone.
- Run a test before you depend on it. Connect the glasses at home with the exact cable and adapter you plan to carry, and confirm the picture before a flight or trip.
Fit, prescription lenses, and comfort
Fit
Fit is the least standardized part of the lineup in the available evidence. TechRadar’s reviewer reported that fit and display alignment were problematic for their own face shape, and warned that results can differ for other face shapes. Try the frame on before buying, and if possible check the display position by looking at the screen with the frame in its normal wearing position.

Prescription inserts
RayNeo says selected GT and X3 Pro models support prescription inserts through Lensology, and that iO has a separate prescription configuration. Lensology’s coverage by country was not confirmed at the time of writing, and this guide does not establish the terms, pricing, or lead times for prescription orders. If you need correction, confirm model support and region with RayNeo before you buy.
How much weight the market-share claim carries
TCL Electronics’ 2024 annual report, published March 21, 2025, says RayNeo, a company the group incubated internally, “ranked first in China’s consumer-grade AR market with a remarkable 35.6% market share.” The report’s footnote attributes the figure to RUNTO’s online retail sales volume of AR market in China. That makes it a China-specific, consumer-grade, online-retail measure for 2024. It is not a global market-share figure, and it does not indicate how any individual model performs. The TCL Electronics 2024 Annual Report is the primary source for the wording.
Buying checklist
- Does your phone, laptop, or console output video over USB-C with DisplayPort support, and do you have the right adapter?
- Is your main goal a private screen for video or games, camera and AI tasks, or glanceable text?
- How many hours will you use camera, AI, or navigation away from a charger?
- Do you need prescription inserts, and does your model and region support them?
- Have you tried the frame fit?
- Is the price and bundle on the official store current on the day you buy?
Accessories and prices
RayNeo’s EU storefront lists accessory categories that include a Pocket TV streaming box, a JoyDock gaming adapter, an HDMI adapter, a charging adapter, and prescription-related options. These categories exist in RayNeo’s store. They do not establish that each accessory works with every glasses model or is sold in every region, so match an accessory to your exact model before you buy it. Prices change frequently, so this guide does not list them. Check the RayNeo EU official storefront or the RayNeo US official storefront for current pricing in your region.
