Choose the RayNeo Air 4 Pro if your priority is watching HDR video or playing games on a wearable display, you are comfortable with a screen that remains fixed relative to your view, and the lower US storefront price matters. Choose the XREAL One if you specifically want the image to stay anchored in space through native 3DoF processing built into the glasses.
Both are wired display glasses rather than standalone headsets. They depend on a compatible phone, computer, console or other video source, and the published specifications come from the manufacturers rather than an independent head-to-head test.

How the Air 4 Pro behaves
RayNeo describes the Air 4 Pro as a fixed display. The image follows your viewing direction instead of remaining positioned at a chosen point in the room, and RayNeo explicitly says the glasses do not support 3DoF screen anchoring. That behavior is straightforward for a film or a game: look through the glasses and the source appears in front of you. It is not the same as placing a virtual monitor on a wall and turning your head away from it.

For a seated viewer, a fixed image can be perfectly acceptable. You do not need to learn a spatial interface, and there is no anchoring mode to configure. If you expect a virtual screen to remain in one location while you move your head, however, this model does not provide that function.
What native 3DoF adds on the XREAL One
XREAL says the One performs native 3DoF processing in the glasses. Three degrees of freedom means the virtual image can remain oriented in space as you rotate your head. In practical terms, you can look to the side and back toward a screen that stays in its anchored position instead of having the entire image move with your gaze.
Native processing is the important distinction: the spatial function is part of the glasses rather than dependent on a separate tracking accessory. The feature does not turn the One into a self-contained mixed-reality headset. You still need a connected video source, and the quality of the experience depends on how that source and any required accessories are configured.
Which screen behavior should you buy?
- Select the fixed Air 4 Pro approach when your normal activity is continuous video playback or a game that you watch straight ahead.
- Select the XREAL One when anchoring is a central requirement for reading, multi-window work, looking around while a screen stays put, or any other use in which a head-locked image is distracting.
- Do not choose solely on the phrase “AR.” In this comparison, the presence or absence of 3DoF is a more consequential buying decision than the product category label.
Display specifications: similar resolution, different claims
| Display specification | RayNeo Air 4 Pro | XREAL One |
|---|---|---|
| Panel | 0.6-inch SeeYa Micro-OLED | 0.68-inch Sony Micro-OLED |
| Resolution | Full HD | 1080p |
| Maximum refresh rate | Up to 120 Hz | Up to 120 Hz |
| HDR | HDR10 listed | HDR10 support is not stated on the cited product page |
| Brightness wording | Up to 1,200 nits | 600 nits perceived brightness |
| Field of view | 46 degrees | 50 degrees |
Both manufacturers list a maximum refresh rate of 120 Hz and approximately Full HD output, so neither specification sheet establishes a decisive resolution advantage. RayNeo explicitly lists HDR10, which makes the Air 4 Pro the clearer choice for a buyer whose media source and workflow make HDR10 important.
The brightness numbers cannot be ranked as if they were measured on the same scale. RayNeo states “up to 1,200 nits,” while XREAL states “600 nits perceived brightness.” Those labels describe different metrics, and there is no controlled measurement here that converts them into a fair winner. Treat each number as the respective manufacturer’s claim.
The One’s listed 50-degree field of view is four degrees wider than the Air 4 Pro’s 46 degrees. That may make the virtual image feel less like a narrow window, but field of view alone does not establish image quality, edge clarity or comfort. Those factors depend on optics, fit and the viewer’s eyes.
Both glasses need a compatible wired video source
RayNeo connection requirements
The Air 4 Pro receives power from the connected device and does not require a separate battery charge, according to RayNeo. Its USB-C connection requires the host port to provide DisplayPort video output, not merely USB data or charging. A phone, laptop or handheld can therefore have a USB-C connector and still fail to display an image if that port lacks the required video mode.

- Universal USB-C Compatibility – No WiFi or Apps Required. Connect directly to iPhone 17/16/15 (USB-C models), Android phones, MacBook, iPad, Steam Deck, and PlayStation consoles. No battery inside—lighter weight and instant setup wherever you go.
RayNeo says HDMI devices can be used with its adapter. An HDMI source should be treated as an adapter setup rather than a direct connection: check which adapter version is current for your region and make sure the source can supply the power the glasses need.
XREAL One connection requirements
XREAL lists USB-C connectivity for the One and identifies compatibility with its Hub and Beam Pro accessories. The same basic host-port check applies: confirm that the exact USB-C port on your phone, computer or handheld carries video. A charging-only USB-C port will not substitute for DisplayPort output.
Neither model is a standalone headset with its own operating system, app library or internal video battery in the sense of a conventional VR device. Plan the glasses as an external display for another device. If you want to watch for several hours, the power draw comes from the host or from a hub arrangement that can charge the host while maintaining the display connection.
Compatibility checklist before ordering
- Identify the exact source device you intend to use, including its model and regional variant.
- Look up whether that device’s USB-C port supports DisplayPort Alt Mode or another compatible video-output mode.
- For an HDMI source, budget for the appropriate adapter and verify that it supports both video conversion and the power requirements of the glasses.
- Check whether your operating system exposes the glasses as an external monitor and whether you need to enable a display-output setting.
- Test the cable path, including any hub, adapter or extension, before assuming the glasses are defective.
Price and value in the United States
The US manufacturer storefronts checked on October 13, 2026 showed the Air 4 Pro at a regular price of $299 and a displayed sale price of $239.20. The XREAL One page displayed $399, with $499 shown as a prior or reference price. These are time-stamped storefront observations, not permanent list prices; promotions, taxes, shipping and regional pricing can change.
| Model | Regular or displayed price | Promotional or reference figure | What the price means for the decision |
|---|---|---|---|
| RayNeo Air 4 Pro | $299 regular price | $239.20 sale price shown October 13, 2026 | Lower entry cost in this snapshot, especially if HDR10 and fixed-screen behavior meet your needs. |
| XREAL One | $399 displayed price | $499 reference price shown on the page | You are paying more in this snapshot for the model whose defining feature is native 3DoF. |
Do not treat the $239.20 figure as a guaranteed ongoing price, and do not assume the $499 reference figure is the amount you will pay today. Recheck the official product pages immediately before purchase: RayNeo Air 4 Pro product page and XREAL One product page.
Which is better for movies and television?
Choose Air 4 Pro for a simple, HDR-focused viewing setup
The Air 4 Pro is the more direct fit when you sit or lie down and want a large personal display without spatial anchoring. HDR10 is explicitly listed, and the lower price snapshot leaves more budget for the source-device adapter or a replacement cable. The fixed image is not a disadvantage if you normally keep your head pointed toward the picture.
Choose XREAL One when you want the picture to stay placed in the room
The One’s native 3DoF is useful when you dislike a screen that moves with every small head turn. You can anchor the virtual image, look away, and return to it. That behavior is the reason to choose this model for cinema-style viewing; the published specifications do not establish that it has better color, contrast, sharpness or motion handling than the Air 4 Pro.

Horizontal and vertical resolve equally, straight lines stay straight at any prescription, and the image holds wherever your eyes go. From spreadsheets and documents to HUDs in open-world games, fuzzy corners do not pull you out of the moment.
- 【A 146-INCH XR SCREEN FOR GAMING, TRAVEL & WORK】 Turn compatible USB-C video-output devices into a private 146-inch 120Hz 1080p XR display for gaming, streaming, studying, and working. Whether you are on a flight, in a dorm, at a hotel, or gaming from the couch, VITURE Pro 2 gives your phone, laptop, or handheld console a bigger, better personal screen.
- 【THE THINNEST—YET STILL WITH BUILT-IN ADJUSTMENT】 Twin dials, two eyes: built-in 0 to -5.00D myopia adjustment focuses each eye independently, so many nearsighted users can skip prescription inserts and contact lenses entirely. Dial in, snap to focus. VITURE Pro 2 is SGS A+ Eye Care Certified for low blue light, flicker-free operation, and low visual fatigue, and the optics let focus shift naturally from center to edge so your eyes micro-adjust the way they do in the real world.
- 【THE NEXT BIG THING IS COMFORT - ULTRA THIN, ULTRA LIGHT & EYE COMFORT ENGINEERED FOR LONG SESSIONS】 At just 63g, VITURE Pro 2 is 20% lighter than VITURE Pro, with a 16% thinner frame and 39% thinner hinge for a sleeker, more sunglasses-like profile. An upgraded temple material spreads pressure more evenly and 7 nose-pad sizes ship in the box, so more face shapes find a stable fit for commuting, movie nights, study sessions, and long viewing. A free lens shade is included - snap it on for full immersion, off to stay present.
- 【SONY MICRO-OLED COLOR, TUNED AT THE SOURCE】 Sony Micro-OLED panels bring streaming, videos, movies, and compatible 3D content to life with 1600 nits peak brightness and a wide 50 degree field of view. Color is calibrated in the Micro-OLED itself rather than through an extra color-management chip, so what you see stays true. Whether you are in a bedroom, dorm, hotel room, or shared apartment, VITURE Pro 2 creates a vivid personal display without needing a TV.
For either model, the movie source still matters. Streaming-service HDR, resolution and copy-protection behavior are controlled by the phone, computer, console or adapter in the chain. The glasses cannot add HDR to a source that does not output it.

Which is better for gaming?
For a handheld or console gamer who wants a private screen, both models offer a 1080p-class display and up to 120 Hz according to their product pages. The Air 4 Pro’s HDR10 listing may matter with a compatible HDR source, while the One’s 3DoF can make the display feel less head-locked during longer sessions.
Neither set of published information establishes input latency, variable-refresh behavior, console compatibility for every model, or a battery-life result. Do not buy either one on an assumed latency advantage. Verify that your console or handheld can output video through the required USB-C or adapter path, and check whether the game device can maintain the refresh mode you want.
Which is better for laptops and productivity?
A fixed display can work as a private single-screen monitor for a laptop, but the image will remain tied to your view. The XREAL One is the more logical choice if your workflow benefits from a screen that stays in a selected position while you turn your head. Native 3DoF does not automatically create multiple independent desktop monitors; the number and arrangement of displays depend on the connected computer and the software it supports.
For text-heavy work, confirm that your laptop outputs a stable 1080p signal and that the glasses’ optics are comfortable for your eyes. The 46-degree versus 50-degree field-of-view figures describe the optical window, not the number of readable columns or the sharpness of small type.

RayNeo lists the Air 4 Pro at 76 g; XREAL lists the One at 82 g. The six-gram difference is real on the specification sheets but too small to prove that one frame will feel better. Nose-pad shape, temple pressure, lens position, face width, hair and the way a user reclines can matter more than the number on the scale.
There is no independent comfort test established for this comparison. If possible, buy from a seller with a return policy that covers fit, and check whether the frame sits level before judging image alignment. A display that is technically bright or wide can still be unusable if the nose pads create pressure or the lenses sit outside your pupil position.

Prescription-lens planning
Air 4 Pro
RayNeo directs Air 4 Pro buyers toward prescription inserts through a lens partner. Confirm the available prescription range, frame compatibility, location and turnaround time before ordering the glasses. The insert is model-specific; a lens made for another RayNeo frame should not be assumed to fit.
XREAL One
XREAL says earlier Air and Air 2 prescription lenses do not fit One-series glasses. The company offers One/1S-specific inserts and names HONSVR as a professional lens service. If you already own inserts for an older model, budget for a new pair rather than relying on the old frame.
In either case, provide your current prescription and pupillary-distance information exactly as the lens service requests. Verify the return and remake policy, because a prescription insert issue is separate from a display or USB-C compatibility issue.
Accessories that may be necessary
- RayNeo HDMI adapter: needed when the video source has HDMI rather than a compatible USB-C DisplayPort output.
- XREAL Hub: listed by XREAL for connection arrangements that need a hub, including setups where charging and display output must be handled together.
- XREAL Beam Pro: listed by XREAL as a compatible accessory for the One. Confirm the exact software and display functions you need before adding it to the purchase.
- Prescription inserts: order the insert made for the exact glasses model; older XREAL Air and Air 2 inserts are not compatible with One-series frames.
Accessory availability and pricing can change. Establish why an accessory is required for your device before paying for it; a hub cannot add DisplayPort output to a USB-C port that lacks video capability.
What has not been established by the published specifications
The official product information supports a feature comparison, not a laboratory verdict. It does not provide a controlled, side-by-side measurement of color accuracy, contrast, optical sharpness, motion-to-photon latency, long-session comfort, audio quality, durability or real battery drain on a particular host device.
Marketing descriptions such as cinematic viewing, vivid imagery or comfort should therefore be read as manufacturer positioning. The documented distinctions are the fixed versus native-3DoF screen behavior, the listed display specifications, the connection requirements, the model-specific prescription options and the dated US price snapshot.

A practical buying decision
- Start with screen behavior. If you need the image anchored in space, select XREAL One. If a straight-ahead fixed image is fine, continue comparing price and display requirements.
- Check your source device. Confirm USB-C DisplayPort output for either model. If you use HDMI with the Air 4 Pro, include RayNeo’s adapter in the setup.
- Decide whether HDR10 is important. RayNeo lists HDR10 for Air 4 Pro; the cited XREAL One page does not state HDR10 support.
- Compare dated prices, not old screenshots. The October 13, 2026 snapshot favored RayNeo, but both storefronts can change promotions and reference prices.
- Resolve prescription and fit before committing. Verify the exact insert model and use a return policy that allows you to assess nose pressure, temple fit and lens alignment.
- Buy the model whose defining feature you will use. Paying extra for 3DoF makes sense only if spatial anchoring changes your daily use; choosing the cheaper Air 4 Pro makes sense when fixed-screen video is all you need.
On the documented evidence, the Air 4 Pro is the value-oriented media display with an HDR10 listing and a lower current US price snapshot. The XREAL One is the specialist choice for native 3DoF screen anchoring. Neither specification sheet alone can settle comfort or image-quality questions that require trying the glasses with your own face and source device.
