Was Desinfec’t bei einem Ransomware-Verdacht leisten kann
Desinfec’t startet ein eigenes Linux-System von einem bootfähigen Medium, statt das verdächtige Windows zu laden. So kann es die Windows-Installation untersuchen, während diese inaktiv ist. Laut c’t/heise kann das auch helfen, auf Dateien zuzugreifen, ohne die installierte Windows-Umgebung zu starten.

Das ist eine andere Aufgabe als eine vollständige forensische Untersuchung oder eine Garantie, dass ein Rechner frei von Schadcode ist. Ein Scanner kann Schädlinge übersehen; außerdem lassen sich nicht alle durch Schadsoftware veränderten Systemeinstellungen automatisch reparieren. Ein unauffälliger Scan beweist daher nicht, dass das Gerät wieder vertrauenswürdig ist.

Ransomware analysieren heißt nicht, sie zu starten
Eine Beschreibung der Ausgabe 2025 nennt ausgewählte Profiwerkzeuge für Malware-Analysen. Daraus folgt nicht, dass Desinfec’t eine sichere Sandbox zum Ausführen einer unbekannten Ransomware-Probe bereitstellt. Die verfügbaren Angaben spezifizieren keinen solchen Ablauf. Starten Sie eine verdächtige Datei daher nicht auf einem privaten oder produktiven Rechner, auch nicht, um herauszufinden, was sie tut.

Dynamische Malware-Analyse erfordert eine kontrollierte, isolierte Umgebung und entsprechendes Fachwissen. Wer eine Probe untersuchen muss, sollte diese Arbeit qualifizierten Sicherheitsfachleuten überlassen. Für die meisten Betroffenen ist die praktische Frage zunächst nicht, wie man die Ransomware ausführt, sondern wie man weitere Schäden begrenzt und Daten sowie Beweise schützt.
Was zuerst zu tun ist, wenn Verschlüsselung läuft
Wenn Dateien gerade verschlüsselt werden oder sich der Angriff ausbreitet, beginnen Sie nicht mit einem unüberlegten Neustart des betroffenen Windows. Die US-Behörde CISA empfiehlt in ihrer Ransomware Response Checklist, betroffene Systeme umgehend zu isolieren. Bei einem Unternehmensvorfall sollte das nach dem abgestimmten Incident-Response-Plan erfolgen, damit die Reaktion nicht weitere Systeme gefährdet.

Die CISA-Empfehlungen sind ein Sicherheitsleitfaden, keine pauschale Rechtsberatung für jeden deutschen Einzelfall. Bei einem privaten Gerät lässt sich ein Offline-Scan als Diagnoseschritt erwägen; bei einem Vorfall in einer Organisation sind koordinierte Eindämmung und Beweissicherung wichtiger als ein isolierter Scan eines einzelnen Rechners.

CISA empfiehlt Offline-Backups und regelmäßige Wiederherstellungstests.
