The RL514 movement comes from Piaget
Inside is the self-winding RL514 manufacture movement. The release says Piaget produced the movement exclusively for Ralph Lauren and names Côtes de Genève and perlage as its finishing techniques. “Self-winding” means the movement winds itself from wrist motion, while the finishing describes decorative work visible on movement surfaces when the case is opened.

No public launch specification in the supplied material gives the movement’s power reserve, frequency, accuracy tolerance, water-resistance rating or service interval. Those are practical ownership details to request before purchase rather than assume from the movement’s manufacture designation.

“Interchangeable” does not by itself confirm that every replacement strap will fit. The lug width, end-piece shape, spring-bar system and supplied buckle should be checked against the exact reference. If ordering a compatible replacement leather strap for a 38mm cushion-case watch, verify those measurements with the retailer or Ralph Lauren service channel first.

Ralph Lauren’s own release calls it “a celebration of heritage, individuality, and the timeless romance of the American West.” In practical terms, the 38mm size makes that statement wearable for people who like the motif but do not want an oversized cowboy-themed case. The trade-off is that key ownership specifications—price, production quantity, water resistance and power reserve—must be confirmed for the specific market and reference.
