A champion tier list is a shortlist for further investigation, not a universal verdict. To decide whether a champion is good for your account—or who to build next—judge the champion against a specific game mode, a role your roster needs, your team’s skills and synergy, and the gear and account bonuses you can provide.
What a champion tier list can—and cannot—tell you
Tier lists rank champions according to selected criteria. Plarium’s official list combines ratings for key endgame activities, including Demon Lord Clan Boss, Eternal Dragon, and dungeons, while distinguishing PvE from PvP value. A combined score can help identify champions worth examining, but it may conceal a champion’s narrower strengths or weaknesses in the mode you care about. Plarium’s Champion Tier List was last updated September 3, 2025, so treat its placements as dated guidance rather than a live guarantee.

For example, that article gives Arbiter, a Void-affinity Legendary Support, a combined endgame score of 4.9/5 and describes uses in Arena, Faction Wars, and Dungeons. That is Plarium’s rating in its dated article—not an independent assessment, a win probability, or proof that Arbiter is the best choice for every account.

Before asking whether a champion is “good,” name the mode and the job you need filled. Read the champion’s skills and decide what they contribute to that team. A champion who brings a missing function may improve your roster more than one with a higher broad ranking who duplicates what your team already does.

- Choose the target mode: Arena, Clan Boss, a dungeon, Faction Wars, or another specific activity.
- Identify the gap: What function is your current team missing, or what is preventing it from succeeding?
- Compare skills with the roster: Does the candidate add something useful, duplicate an existing role, or work especially well with your current allies?
- Check the evidence: Does the tier list evaluate that mode and role, and when was it updated?
Plarium’s guidance on Champion and Team Power says that “Team synergy and counter-pick are a much more accurate way to defeat your opponents.” Use that principle when choosing who to build: fit the champion into a team plan rather than treating an overall ranking as a forecast of results.
Compare candidates for the same mode and role
A useful comparison keeps the conditions consistent. If you are deciding which champion to invest in for Arena, compare their Arena contributions; do not let a broad endgame average settle the question if it also reflects PvE activities. Apply the same approach to Clan Boss, dungeons, and Faction Wars. Ask what each candidate’s skills add to the target team and whether that contribution addresses your account’s actual bottleneck.

Account for affinity and the build you can support
Affinity affects skills and damage, so it belongs in matchup decisions alongside role and team fit—not as a stand-alone rule for ranking champions. Plarium’s affinity guide explains the affinity system, and its game overview advises balancing teams with affinity counters in mind. Consider both the content and opponents you expect to face.

Your build matters, too. Plarium’s gear guide describes six Artifact slots and three accessory slots; equipment supplies stats, while sets add effects. Speed affects turn-meter progression and who gets the first turn, while Accuracy matters for landing debuffs. If a champion’s role depends on going first or applying debuffs, consider whether your available gear can support the required function before committing resources.

Why Power and another player’s ranking may mislead
Champion Power is an estimate calculated from stats including HP, Attack, Defense, Speed, Critical Rate, Critical Damage, Resistance, and Accuracy. Plarium warns that higher Team Power does not guarantee a win; synergy and counter-picking are more informative. Two accounts can also have different equipment and account bonuses, so another player’s displayed Power or build is not a like-for-like comparison.
Account progression can change the numbers behind a comparison. Plarium says Arena tier bonuses can increase champion stats by up to 25%, and Great Hall upgrades also improve stats. The “up to 25%” figure is the maximum Arena tier bonus described in Plarium’s support guidance, not a bonus every account receives.

A practical test before taking a champion to 6 stars
- Pick one target: Name the mode and the team problem you want to solve.
- Read the skills: Identify the candidate’s actual contribution and how it interacts with your existing champions.
- Compare like with like: Evaluate candidates for the same mode and role, not by an overall score alone.
- Check matchup and build: Consider affinity, required Speed or Accuracy, and whether your gear can make the champion’s role work.
- Adjust for your account: Consider Arena tier and Great Hall bonuses rather than assuming another account’s stats apply to yours.
- Verify the ranking’s date and scope: A tier-list placement is useful only if its content focus and update date fit your decision.
This framework helps answer “Is this champion worth taking to 6 stars?” in account-specific terms: invest when the champion fills a real need and you can support that role, not solely because a list assigns a high rank.
