How the standard Quordle format works
Quordle shows four five-letter words together and gives nine guesses in the standard format. Every guess is submitted to all four boards. A green tile means the letter is correct and in the correct position; a yellow tile means the letter appears in that board’s answer but is positioned incorrectly. Letters that remain uncolored are not present in that particular word.
Because one guess serves four boards, solving is partly an exercise in information management. Early guesses are most valuable when they test several common vowels and consonants. Once a board supplies enough green and yellow tiles, switch from broad probing to candidates that satisfy its exact pattern, while keeping the other three boards in mind.

Classic versus Daily Sequence for game #1725
The Daily Sequence is a separate mode and should not be substituted for the Classic answers. Sequence presents its four words as a progression rather than the simultaneous four-board challenge.

| Mode | Answers for game #1725 | How it is played |
|---|---|---|
| Classic | STALE, EPOCH, PIANO, CORNY | Four boards are shown at the same time; guesses count toward the shared nine-guess limit. |
| Daily Sequence | CLINK, SAUNA, GREED, SPINY | Four words are solved sequentially as a separate daily challenge. |
If your board displays one word at a time, you are playing Sequence, which explains why its solutions do not match the Classic list.

EPOCH
An epoch is a major span of time or a period defined by particular events or characteristics. In everyday use, it often signals a historically important era.
PIANO
A piano is a keyboard instrument whose keys operate hammers that strike strings. The word covers upright instruments as well as grand and baby-grand designs.
CORNY
Corny means conspicuously sentimental, predictable or clichéd. A joke, song or romantic gesture may be called corny when it feels knowingly old-fashioned or cheesy.
