Its fit and controls matter more than broad claims about eye comfort: Quntis describes an asymmetric beam intended to light the desk while limiting screen reflections, but those are manufacturer claims, not independently verified results. Check the exact variant and your monitor’s shape and thickness before buying.
What the Quntis ScreenLinear Basic is designed to do
A monitor light bar sits above the display and points task lighting down toward the keyboard and work surface. Quntis says the ScreenLinear Basic uses an asymmetric 45-degree optical design to direct light onto the desk while reducing reflected glare on the screen. That describes the intended beam pattern; it does not establish how the bar performs on every monitor or desk.

Will it fit your monitor?
Quntis gives a 15–22-inch monitor size and 0.3–1.4-inch thickness range for the ScreenLinear Basic/Pro fit description. The same description says the product is not suitable for laptops or curved monitors. The page presents more than one style, so treat these as the stated range for that description and verify the selected variant’s specifications before ordering.

- Curved display: The described Basic/Pro configuration excludes curved monitors. Quntis lists separate Q-CURVE ScreenLinear MU 208 and MU 21 lines for curved displays; that does not make the Basic compatible. Quntis’s monitor-light collection and FAQ.
- Laptop: Quntis excludes laptops for the described configuration, so do not assume its clip will work on a laptop screen.
- Webcam and bezel: Check whether your webcam, bezel geometry or other hardware occupies the mounting area. The fit range alone cannot settle those setup-specific questions.
If your monitor is curved, a laptop, or outside the stated dimensions, look for a model explicitly made for that screen rather than relying on the ScreenLinear Basic/Pro description.
Controls and what comes in the box
The listing names brightness adjustment and 3000K, 4000K and 6500K color-temperature options. It does not establish that every ScreenLinear style has identical controls, so check the exact product selection. Auto-dimming is described on the product page as available only on quntis.com; do not assume it is included with a marketplace or retailer version.

Who should consider it—and who should skip it
It may suit you if
- You have a compatible, flat monitor and want task lighting without placing a lamp base on the desk.
- You want brightness and color-temperature options, and your chosen variant offers the controls you need.
- You prefer a monitor-mounted light and do not need separate ambient or backlighting as part of the same product.
Look elsewhere if
- Your screen is curved or is a laptop, or its thickness falls outside the stated range.
