QUAD rates it at 200 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 300 watts into 4 ohms; AVForums gave it 9/10 in a review published December 6, 2025. Whether it is a good fit depends less on the headline power than on your sources, speakers and willingness to add streaming or EQ separately.
What the QUAD Platina Integrated is
The Platina Integrated combines input selection, volume control and power amplification in one chassis. QUAD describes a dual-mono Class AB design and includes a DAC, phono stage and headphone amplifier. It is a stereo integrated amplifier, not a network streamer or a home-theater receiver. The QUAD Platina Integrated product page lists the manufacturer’s specifications; the user manual covers operation and safety.

How much power does it have?
QUAD rates the amplifier at 2 × 200 W into 8 ohms and 2 × 300 W into 4 ohms. The manufacturer also lists a 630 VA toroidal transformer and 44,000 μF of filter capacity per channel. These are published specifications, not independent laboratory measurements. Power ratings alone do not guarantee a good match with every loudspeaker: consider speaker impedance and sensitivity, listening distance, room size and the levels you want.
What sources and connections can it handle?
The connection range covers analogue and digital sources, including a turntable and a television with HDMI ARC. QUAD lists:

QUAD also lists Roon Tested status. That designation does not, by itself, mean the amplifier streams music over a network; the available sources do not establish onboard streaming playback. Check the manual and the source-device requirements before planning a connection.
What did the independent review find?
Ed Selley’s AVForums review, published December 6, 2025, scored the Platina Integrated 9/10. Selley called it “a stunning piece of gear” and described it as powerful, well equipped and musical. Those are the reviewer’s judgments rather than measured performance claims. The review also identifies built-in EQ and streaming as features some buyers may want but will not find onboard. Is it worth buying for your system?
It makes sense if your priorities are
- High stated stereo output and a broad mix of analogue and digital inputs
- A built-in phono stage, DAC and headphone amplifier
- HDMI ARC as part of your television connection plan
- Adding streaming or room correction through separate equipment, if you need either
Look elsewhere or budget for additions if you require
- Network streaming built into the amplifier
- Onboard room EQ
- A verified speaker match: the cited specifications and review do not establish performance with a particular speaker, room or listening level
Before choosing, check speaker impedance and sensitivity alongside the amplifier’s ratings, confirm that its inputs cover your actual sources, and consider its dimensions and placement. Also compare local support and current pricing; the reviewed sources do not establish how it ranks against specific alternatives.
What did it cost in the review?
AVForums listed an MSRP of £3,499 in its 2025 review. That is a historical UK price printed in that review, not a verified current price or a price for another market. Check a local retailer for today’s availability and price.
