Prioritize Adeptus Art: Herald of Frost, then her Burst when your rotation actually uses it. This setup combines healing, team energy and the Stellar-reaction support described in current 2026 guides, but the best weapon and teammates still depend on your rotation, constellation level and whether another character already carries a support artifact set.
Recommended Qiqi build at a glance
HoYoWiki identifies Qiqi as a five-star Liyue Cryo sword character whose ascension attribute is Healing Bonus. In the current support interpretation, she is not built only as a passive emergency healer. Mobalytics’ guide, updated September 22, 2026, places her in healer-support roles for Stellar-Conduct and Stellar-Swirl teams. It describes her Elemental Skill as providing high-uptime teamwide Stellar damage bonus and says she can generate up to six Cryo particles per rotation. Those recommendations are guide-based rather than an official universal ranking, so use the table as a starting point rather than a rule that overrides your roster.

Before C6, treat Energy Recharge and other substats as rotation-dependent after you have enough CRIT Rate to trigger Favonius consistently. At C6, the cited Mobalytics build puts more emphasis on having enough Energy Recharge to cast the Burst, followed by ATK% for the buff. Do not force the C6 priorities onto a lower-constellation Qiqi whose team rarely uses her Burst.

Older Qiqi advice often treated her as a straightforward healer who entered the field only to restore health. The current guides describe a more specific use: she supplies sustained healing while helping a team built around Stellar reactions. Her Skill is the centerpiece because it can keep the Tenacity of the Millelith party effect active and, in the Mobalytics interpretation, provide a high-uptime Stellar damage bonus. Her Cryo application and particle generation also matter when the team’s reaction sequence benefits from them.

That does not make Qiqi the best choice for every account. A healer who applies automatic healing can interfere with a team whose mechanics depend on staying at a particular health level. Mobalytics specifically cautions against using Qiqi in the Wriothesley teams discussed in its guide because that healing conflicts with those teams’ needs. Team function, not a single tier-list position, should determine whether you build her.
Choosing Qiqi’s weapon
Favonius Sword: the default support option
Favonius Sword is the broad recommendation when your team values energy more than an extra Skill cast. Its passive requires CRIT hits, which is why the recommended circlet is CRIT Rate even though Qiqi is not being built as a conventional damage dealer. Give her enough CRIT Rate that the passive activates consistently during the attacks or Skill-related hits your rotation actually provides. The resulting particles can help Qiqi and her teammates reach their next Burst, making the weapon especially useful in teams with demanding energy requirements.
Favonius is not automatically superior in every rotation. If Qiqi seldom produces a qualifying hit before leaving the field, its energy contribution will be less dependable. In that case, compare the real particle value your team receives with the value of keeping her Skill available more often.
Sacrificial Sword: when Skill uptime matters most
Sacrificial Sword is the practical alternative for longer rotations in which a second Skill use is more valuable than additional team particles. Icy Veins lists it as a way to help maintain Skill uptime. Choose it when your rotation has enough energy already and the support buff or healing falls off before the next planned field window. The trade-off is straightforward: you exchange Favonius’ team-energy contribution for a chance to refresh Qiqi’s Skill timing.
Freedom-Sworn and Key of Khaj-Nisut: reaction-dependent alternatives
Icy Veins also lists Freedom-Sworn and Key of Khaj-Nisut in reaction-support contexts. Their value depends on whether your team can access the reactions that make their support effects worthwhile and whether another character already covers the same buff. They should therefore be evaluated after you identify the team’s reaction sequence, not selected from a universal weapon ranking. If your team cannot consistently use the relevant reaction or does not benefit from the additional support, Favonius Sword remains the clearer general-purpose choice.

| Weapon | Choose it when | Main trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Favonius Sword | Your team needs particles and Qiqi can trigger the passive reliably. | Requires enough CRIT Rate and qualifying hits. |
| Sacrificial Sword | A long rotation benefits from another Herald of Frost cast. | Provides less direct team-energy support than Favonius. |
| Freedom-Sworn | Your reaction-support team can activate and use its effects. | Its value falls when the needed reactions or buff recipients are absent. |
| Key of Khaj-Nisut | The reaction-support context and team stats make its effect useful. | Conditional value; it is not a blanket upgrade for every Qiqi team. |
Artifact set and main stats
Four-piece Tenacity of the Millelith
Four-piece Tenacity of the Millelith is the recommended support set because Qiqi’s Skill can keep its party buff active. The set makes her recurring Skill cast do more than heal: it also supplies a teamwide benefit during the period in which your carry performs its sequence. This is the most coherent choice when Qiqi is supporting a Stellar team and no other character is already maintaining the same support set more effectively.
If another teammate already carries Tenacity and your rotation cannot maintain overlapping value, reconsider who should hold it. The guides do not establish one universally optimal replacement set for every roster, so the decision should follow the team’s missing function: energy, Skill uptime, healing or reaction support. Avoid presenting Tenacity as mandatory when another character is already providing its party buff and Qiqi’s role would be better served by a different support effect.

Use ATK% on the sands and goblet, with CRIT Rate on the circlet. ATK is the practical support stat in this setup because Qiqi’s healing and the cited C6 buff priorities make it relevant beyond personal damage. CRIT Rate has a specific job: it improves the consistency of Favonius Sword’s passive. Do not replace the CRIT circlet with an offensive option merely because Qiqi’s sheet damage looks low; the recommended build is designed around team utility.
Substats and Energy Recharge
Before C6, Mobalytics describes the substats as flexible after CRIT Rate for Favonius. That means you should tune the remaining pieces to the rotation rather than chase a fixed numerical target that the guide does not establish. If Qiqi’s Burst is not part of every rotation, excessive Energy Recharge can be less useful than stats that improve the Skill-centered support pattern. At C6, the guide specifically recommends enough Energy Recharge to use the Burst and then ATK% for the buff. In practice, test whether the Burst is ready at the point your team needs it; a theoretical target that arrives after the carry’s window does not improve that rotation.
Talent priority
1. Adeptus Art: Herald of Frost
Level Qiqi’s Elemental Skill first. Herald of Frost is the talent that supports the recommended high-uptime pattern, maintains the Tenacity trigger and supplies the recurring healing and reaction utility that define this build. It is also the talent to prioritize when your team uses Qiqi as a short field-time support rather than an on-field attacker.

2. Adeptus Art: Preserver of Fortune
Her Burst is normally second. Icy Veins notes that Qiqi generally does not use her Burst every rotation before C6, so do not automatically raise it ahead of the Skill. Move Burst investment up when your planned rotation casts it consistently, when your team depends on its healing window, or when C6 changes the value of using it on schedule.

Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →3. Normal attacks
Normal attacks are a low priority for this support role. They can help Qiqi produce the hits needed for Favonius in the moments she is on field, but that does not turn her into the team’s primary normal-attack damage dealer. Spend talent resources on the Skill first and Burst second unless you have deliberately chosen an on-field play pattern outside the support build described here.
A practical Skill-first rotation
The exact sequence changes with the carry and reaction order, but the support logic is consistent: establish other buffs, cast Qiqi’s Skill, then hand the field to the character who performs the team’s damage sequence. In the Sandrone example cited by Mobalytics, other supports act first, Qiqi uses Herald of Frost, and the carry takes the field for its sequence. Treat that as an illustration rather than a universal rotation.
- Prepare the team’s other support effects. Use the buffs or setup actions that need to occur before the carry attacks.
- Switch to Qiqi and cast Herald of Frost. This starts the Skill-centered healing and support window and allows Tenacity’s effect to contribute during the following sequence.
- Check Favonius conditions. If Qiqi has enough CRIT Rate and produces a qualifying hit, collect the particles or funnel them to the teammate who needs them.
- Bring in the carry. Use the carry’s Stellar-Conduct or Stellar-Swirl sequence while Qiqi’s support effects are active.
- Use Preserver of Fortune only when the rotation calls for it. Before C6, do not delay the team merely to cast a Burst that is not part of the established cycle.
- Refresh Herald of Frost according to its cooldown and the team’s next field window. Sacrificial Sword becomes more attractive when this refresh is the limiting factor; Favonius is preferable when energy is the limiting factor.
This sequence also explains why weapon rankings cannot be separated from rotations. A team that finishes its damage window before Qiqi’s Skill expires values a different weapon from one that needs a second cast to bridge a long cycle.
Teams that make sense for this build
The current recommendations center on Stellar reactions rather than a generic list of every character who can be healed. Mobalytics presents Qiqi as a support and sustain option particularly for Sandrone-centered Stellar-Conduct teams. One cited example is Sandrone, Yae Miko, Qiqi and Odette. The same guide also lists Stellar-Conduct teams with Cyno and Stellar-Swirl variants. Icy Veins likewise identifies Cryo and Electro partners including Sandrone, Yae Miko, Odette, Cyno, Yumemizuki Mizuki and Beidou.

| Team context | How Qiqi contributes | What to verify before committing |
|---|---|---|
| Sandrone-centered Stellar-Conduct | Healing, Skill-based Stellar support and Cryo particle generation. | That the carry’s field window begins after Qiqi’s Skill and the team can use the reaction consistently. |
| Cyno Stellar-Conduct | Sustain and reaction support during a longer carry sequence. | Whether the rotation keeps Qiqi’s Skill and energy aligned with Cyno’s field time. |
| Stellar-Swirl variant | Healing plus the reaction-enabling and support functions described by the guides. | That the selected Anemo and elemental partners can access the intended reaction order. |
| Wriothesley teams described by Mobalytics | Generally a poor fit in the cited examples because automatic healing conflicts with the team’s needs. | Whether the team’s mechanics actually benefit from constant healing before adding Qiqi. |
Some listed teammates are reaction enablers, while others supply damage or buffs. That distinction matters: Qiqi’s presence is justified when the complete four-character sequence gains more from her healing and Stellar support than it loses from the slot that could have supplied another damage or utility effect.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How constellations change the build
Before C6
At lower constellation levels, build around the Skill. Favonius Sword, CRIT Rate and Tenacity support a rotation in which Qiqi enters briefly, establishes Herald of Frost, supplies particles when possible and leaves. Keep Burst investment behind the Skill unless your team reliably uses Preserver of Fortune every cycle.
At C6
The cited Mobalytics recommendation changes the emphasis at C6: obtain enough Energy Recharge to use the Burst, then favor ATK% for the buff. This does not mean every C6 rotation must cast Burst on cooldown. It means that a rotation designed around C6 should make the Burst available at the point it contributes, rather than treating it as an occasional emergency button.
A decision framework for your account
Use these checks before spending valuable weapon, artifact or talent resources:
- Identify the job. If the team needs Stellar reaction support and sustained healing, Qiqi’s current niche matches the build. If it only needs a generic healer, compare the opportunity cost of her field slot.
- Find the bottleneck. Choose Favonius when team energy is short; choose Sacrificial when the Skill expires before the next damage window.
- Check set ownership. Tenacity is strongest when Qiqi can maintain its buff and another teammate is not already using it more effectively.
- Check constellation and Burst frequency. Before C6, keep the Skill first. At C6, tune Energy Recharge and ATK around actual Burst use.
- Map the rotation. Confirm that supports act before Qiqi, Qiqi casts Skill before the carry, and the reaction sequence occurs while her support effects are active.
- Respect health mechanics. Do not add Qiqi to a team whose strategy is undermined by automatic healing; the Wriothesley examples in Mobalytics illustrate this conflict.
Common build mistakes and fixes
Using an offensive circlet with no Favonius plan
If Favonius Sword is equipped but Qiqi rarely triggers its passive, replace the circlet or improve CRIT Rate on substats. If you do not want to invest in CRIT Rate, select a weapon whose value does not depend on that passive rather than assuming the particles will appear automatically.

Raising Burst before Skill
A Burst-first investment can leave the main recurring support talent underdeveloped. Raise Herald of Frost first, then evaluate whether Preserver of Fortune appears in the real rotation often enough to justify earlier resources.
Copying C6 priorities onto a pre-C6 build
Adding large amounts of Energy Recharge for a Burst that is not cast each rotation can weaken the Skill-centered setup. Use the pre-C6 flexible-substat approach until your rotation demonstrates a consistent Burst requirement.
Treating a weapon list as universal
Favonius, Sacrificial, Freedom-Sworn and Key of Khaj-Nisut solve different problems. Compare team energy, Skill uptime and reaction access instead of selecting the first item in a ranking without checking its assumptions.
Putting Qiqi into the wrong reaction team
The guides focus on Stellar-Conduct and Stellar-Swirl contexts and name specific partners. A team that cannot access those reactions, or that needs a different form of utility, may gain less from Qiqi than the examples do. Build the team first, then decide whether Qiqi fills its missing sustain and support functions.
Final build checklist
- Favonius Sword equipped and enough CRIT Rate to trigger its passive reliably, unless your rotation specifically favors Sacrificial Sword or a reaction-dependent alternative.
- Four-piece Tenacity of the Millelith when Qiqi can maintain the Skill-triggered party buff and no teammate has a better claim to the set.
- ATK% sands, ATK% goblet and CRIT Rate circlet.
- Herald of Frost prioritized; Preserver of Fortune raised next when your rotation uses it.
- Energy Recharge tuned to the team’s actual Burst timing, with the C6 emphasis on Burst availability followed by ATK%.
- A rotation that places Qiqi’s Skill before the carry’s Stellar sequence.
- Teammates selected for a Stellar-Conduct or Stellar-Swirl plan that benefits from healing, Cryo particles and the support buff.
These recommendations reflect Mobalytics’ September 22, 2026 guide and Icy Veins material last updated July 10, 2026, alongside Qiqi’s HoYoWiki profile. Recheck the build after major game updates because reaction mechanics, available characters and rotation assumptions can change the value of each weapon, artifact set and team.
