What makes the DreamLayer Pillow worth considering?
Purple describes the DreamLayer as medium-soft and says it includes two removable booster layers for adjusting its height. That makes it a plausible option if you want to change pillow loft rather than commit to a single fixed height.

Tom’s Guide describes the construction as a MicroAir Foam core with a contouring grid layer. Reviewer Ruth Jones reports that she liked the cushioning and adjustability, and wrote: “I feel like as soon as my head hits the pillow, it’s delivering the comfort I need, no plumping or adjustment required.” That is her personal experience, not a guarantee that the pillow will suit every sleeper.

Purple lists the DreamLayer’s grid layer as MicroGrid. It should not be confused with the Honeycomb GelFlex Grid found in several other Purple pillow models. Purple describes Honeycomb GelFlex Grid as “a unique version of our patented comfort layer that is designed specifically for pillows”; that description refers to the Honeycomb layer, not necessarily the DreamLayer’s MicroGrid.

Is the 15% Amazon discount still available?
Tom’s Guide published its report on October 2, 2026, saying the DreamLayer was 15% off at Amazon. However, that article lists two different prices: $198 in its opening copy and $194, reduced from $229, in the deal block. The exact Amazon offer is therefore unclear, and neither price should be treated as current without checking the listing.

The article also said early October Prime Day deals were beginning to appear and that the main event was expected October 6–8. That was the article’s dated expectation, not confirmation of Amazon’s event schedule.
Purple’s official pillow page showed a separate promotion of up to 15% off select pillows, bedding, and accessories through October 13, 2026. Its terms apply to purchases directly from Purple, authorized Purple retail locations, or direct telephone sales—not third-party retail purchases. That promotion does not verify the Amazon price.

- Confirm the live price and whether the listing actually shows a discount; the October 2 report’s dollar figures conflict.
- Check the selected size, seller, and delivery details on the listing.
- Read the return and warranty terms that apply to that seller and purchase. Purple lists a 30-night trial beginning on delivery and a one-year limited warranty for its pillows on its own site, but those terms are not established for this Amazon listing.
