Punjab had completed the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in 55 of its 117 Assembly constituencies, according to Punjab Chief Electoral Officer Anindita Mitra, as reported by Hindustan Times on October 2, 2026. The same report put statewide work progress at 99.21%—a separate measure from the number of constituencies fully completed.
What the reported Punjab SIR figures mean
The figures describe different aspects of progress as of the October 2 report:

Both figures were attributed to CEO Anindita Mitra by Hindustan Times. They are a dated administrative progress update, not a final completion announcement.

The report named eight districts where the exercise was complete: Moga, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar (SBS Nagar), Mansa, Tarn Taran, Faridkot, Sangrur, Patiala and Malerkotla. It did not publish the names of all 55 completed constituencies, so the district list should not be treated as a constituency-by-constituency roster.

What electors with pending notices or documents were told
For electors with notices issued and hearings or document submissions still pending, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) were to contact them and collect required documents directly where applicable. CEO Mitra told Hindustan Times that this arrangement would save electors from visiting Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) offices for personal hearings and document submission, wherever applicable.
Camps were being held over the weekend in constituencies with remaining pendency. District Election Officer (DEO) and ERO office help desks across Punjab were also identified as places to raise electoral-roll questions or concerns. These arrangements were described in the October 2 report; check with the local election office for current camp schedules and assistance details.

- If you have received a notice or are waiting on a hearing or document submission, look out for contact from your BLO and follow the instructions provided.
- For local help, contact or visit the relevant DEO or ERO office help desk. Confirm local timings and availability before travelling.
- If a camp is announced for your constituency, verify its date and location with local election officials; the report does not establish a continuing statewide schedule.
