Short answer: Pulsetto FIT X adds more stimulation levels, adaptive stimulation, contact sensing and redesigned electrodes, but the available evidence does not establish that these features produce better outcomes than FIT or Lite. It may be worth considering if you specifically want those additions and are comfortable paying more. If you mainly want to try a neck-worn electrical-stimulation wellness device, compare the lower-priced models and pay close attention to fit, comfort and current return terms.
What FIT X adds over FIT and Lite
Pulsetto announced FIT X on September 17, 2026. The company describes it as a hardware and app update, with adaptive stimulation, electrode-contact sensing, an X-shaped bilateral electrode arrangement, additional stimulation profiles, gentler starting levels, app integration, a Stress Resilience Score, offline operation, improved Bluetooth, vibro-tactile feedback and longer battery life. These are manufacturer-described features, not independent proof that the device targets a nerve more effectively or improves health outcomes. Pulsetto’s launch announcement and its model comparison describe the X-shaped electrodes as designed to contact both vagus nerve pathways; that is design intent, not verified nerve targeting.

Wareable’s September 2026 comparison lists FIT X with 15 intensity levels, compared with 9 for FIT and Lite. It lists claimed battery life of up to 12 days for FIT X and FIT, and up to 7 days for Lite. Those battery figures are specifications reported in the comparison, not independently measured results. What one reviewer experienced
Wareable reviewer Emilija Kilimaitė says she used FIT X daily for a week. She found its cushioning soft and its sizing adjustable, but said adjustment took force and the larger, protruding pads created uncomfortable pressure around her neck. She also found the stimulation noticeably strong; other testers tolerated higher settings. These are individual impressions, not representative user results.
The reviewer did not notice a notable effect on her nervous system during that week and cautioned that the test was too short to support strong conclusions about benefits. A week of use by one reviewer cannot establish whether the device works or how it will feel for other people.

Wareable also reports that the box included a USB-C charging cable, applicator and 30 g tube of conductive gel, compared with 60 g on older models. Does research show FIT X works better?
No FIT X-specific clinical result in the cited material establishes that it reduces stress, anxiety or sleep problems, or that it performs better than FIT or Lite. The distinction matters: a new electrode design and more settings are product changes, not evidence of improved clinical outcomes.

What the available study abstract says
A 2026 European Psychiatry conference abstract describes a study of Pulsetto non-invasive vagus nerve stimulation in healthy adults. It reports 40 participants enrolled and 37 completing a four-week protocol involving twice-daily, eight-minute sessions, with unilateral and bilateral stimulation compared. This is preliminary, device-level evidence, not a FIT X-specific trial; the abstract does not establish that FIT X is proven to improve stress, anxiety or sleep. How to interpret Pulsetto’s EEG announcement
In a September 2026 press release, Pulsetto said a sham-controlled EEG study found greater relaxation and reduced mental arousal after one 10-minute session, with the strongest reported effects within 30 minutes. The release does not provide enough underlying methods or the paper itself to independently assess that result here. Treat it as preliminary company-reported evidence, not proof that FIT X provides lasting benefits. The claim appears in Pulsetto’s launch release.

App features, subscriptions and ownership costs
Wareable reports five free programs and three subscription-locked programs, with paid features including music, Sleep Score, HRV and stress tracking. Its review listed Premium at $139 per year at publication in September 2026. That is a dated reported price, not a guarantee of the current subscription cost or feature availability; verify the app’s current terms before treating those tools as part of the purchase value.
Accessories and policies can affect the overall decision, too. The review’s reported 30 g gel tube is smaller than the 60 g included with older models, and third-party compatibility is not established here. Pulsetto’s product page describes a two-year warranty and a 30-day money-back offer, but terms may change and eligibility conditions matter. Compare FIT or Lite if
- Your priority is spending less to try neck-worn stimulation; Wareable’s September 2026 comparison listed both below FIT X.
- You do not need FIT X’s additional settings or sensing features.
- You would rather avoid committing to a premium before knowing whether the sensation and fit suit you.
Because the reviewer reported uncomfortable pressure, comfort deserves more weight than the feature list alone. Check current return terms and how they apply to opened or used devices before purchase; do not assume that a money-back offer guarantees a no-cost trial.
