When can members claim the October games?
The stated claim period is October 6 through November 2, 2026. Sony says Monthly Games availability may differ by region and advises members to check their local PlayStation Store on release day. September’s four games—Sniper Elite: Resistance, MLB The Show 26, Wobbly Life and Chained Echoes—can be added to members’ libraries through Monday, October 5, 2026, according to Sony’s announcement. If you want them, add them before that deadline; the October titles do not replace the September claim window until October 6.

F1 25: racing, career and team-building
F1 25 is the PS5-only racing option. Sony describes it as the official video game of the 2025 FIA Formula One World Championship and highlights Career, My Team 2.0 and online play, including a squad mode in F1 World. That makes it the pick in this lineup for players looking for racing with both solo and multiplayer options.
Hunt: Showdown 1896: solo or small-team bounty hunts
Hunt: Showdown 1896 is a PS5 extraction shooter. Its objective is to hunt bosses and compete with other Hunters to secure a bounty and get out. Sony says you can go alone or bring up to two teammates, making this the lineup’s option for tense solo or small-group sessions.

Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2: online co-op or local split screen
Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 is available for both PS5 and PS4. Its four-person team format supports four-player online co-op and two-player local split screen on both listed consoles, according to Sony. It is the only game in this month’s lineup whose announcement specifies local split-screen play.
