Reach level 65, speak to Blacksmith Togane in Hidden Mist Village, and follow the second-forge quest to the purple portal near the Forgotten Ruins. For your first Ouwigahara run, bring a usable combat move, healing supplies, and a build you can survive with; choose early cards that improve later returns, then favor damage and survival. These directions and strategies come from unofficial community guides, so check card durations and live shop costs in-game.
How to unlock Ouwigahara
- Reach level 65. Community guides place the unlock requirement at this level.
- Go to Hidden Mist Village and talk to Blacksmith Togane. Choose the second-forge quest; one guide reports the option as “I’ll find the forge (Lv 65).”
- Follow the quest route. Travel toward Mistfall Harbor Shrine and the Forgotten Ruins, cross the bridges, and follow the path to the purple portal. Wall Climb is recommended; a mount is optional.
- Enter the portal. The guides say your first visit registers the dungeon and unlocks Ouwigahara Normal in the main-menu HUB queue.
This route is consistent across fan guides, but it is not developer-confirmed documentation. If a marker or menu label differs, follow the current in-game quest.

How to prepare for your first run
- Unlock Wall Climb to make the approach easier.
- Have one or two combat moves available and ready to use. One guide says any Breathing style or Blood Demon Art can work with that baseline.
- Inspect your weapon stats and bring healing supplies.
- When facing groups, gather enemies and use area attacks where your build allows. Community guides recommend this approach, but do not establish how much gear or weapon choice changes scoring.
Which build should you use?
There is no well-supported universal best build. Your choice depends on whether you are a slayer or demon, which moves you have unlocked, your area coverage and survivability, and the weapons and gear you already own. Treat the following as community-guide starting points, not proven rankings.

| Slayer | Serpent, Insect, Sound, or Thunder Breathing | Choose a style with moves you can use reliably; prioritize area coverage and staying alive over copying a style you have not developed. |
| Demon | Blood or Akaza builds with Sickles; Shockwave is also mentioned for its area move | Use the option that fits your available moves and weapon. The guides do not provide controlled comparisons between these builds. |
One separate guide claims Blood Demon Art builds farm better, but gives no controlled comparison. That claim is not enough to establish a best build for every player.

Which cards should you choose?
Use a two-stage approach: take cards that can improve later returns early, then choose damage and survival options that help you clear waves and protect the multiplier you have built.
Early picks that can improve returns
- Lucky Draw: described by one guide as improving later draws.
- Streak: reported to add points for clean floors.
- Ascension: reported to add an elite enemy along with a point multiplier, so it trades extra pressure for a potential scoring benefit.
After those, favor damage when faster clears are useful to your run; health and cooldown reduction are also suggested as follow-up priorities in a community guide.

Check duration and risk before selecting
Guides disagree about whether some multiplier effects last for the rest of a run or only the next floor. Read the duration displayed on each card in-game rather than assuming an effect persists. Risk modifiers can raise points while making enemies more dangerous, so weigh the displayed reward against your current damage and survival margin. Avoid taking extra risk blindly in Ranked: a guide reports that a Ranked run ends on death.

Should you play solo or in a party?
Choose based on whether you value control or cooperation. A community guide recommends solo for score control because you select every card and set the pace. The same guide reports that party points are distributed by damage and kills unless a sharing card applies; treat that as guide-reported behavior, not a guaranteed score formula. Another fan wiki confirms team play is possible but does not establish that solo or group play is universally better.

What can dungeon points buy?
Community guides describe points as a way to obtain mastery, XP, chests, materials, cosmetics, and weapon upgrades. Their listed prices are not fully consistent: one guide reports a chest at 20,000 points and another at 30,000. One guide reports a 90,000-point V2 weapon fee, alongside separate material and ore requirements. Silk-thread requirements for Damascus Sickles also differ between guides.
Because these are guide-reported values rather than an official price list, check the live NPC menu before spending. Decide whether you need immediate mastery or XP, or would rather save points toward gear and forging.
