How to get Beast Cores
Look for horned NPCs labelled Beast Born Demon and defeat them at night. The available sources are community guides rather than developer documentation, so use the current in-game Archives and trainer prompts to confirm the live details.

What the reported drop rate means
The dedicated guide reports a 50% chance of one Beast Core per kill and says the in-game Archives displays “50% (Beast Born Demon).” A separate materials guide also reports about 50%, attributing its rate information to launch-week creator walkthroughs from September 19–20, 2026. (Slayers 2 Guide Wiki; Slayers 2 Wiki Editors, September 20, 2026.) This is community-reported information, not a published developer drop table. At a true 50% chance, two kills is the average number needed for one core—not a guarantee that every second kill will drop one.
Where to farm Beast Cores
Mistfall Harbor: start here
Mistfall Harbor is the strongest-supported named location in the reviewed guides. One directs players to an open area past the torii where Giyen spawns, heading toward Mistfall Harbor, and also suggests farming around the end of the shipment quest to Ora. An independent community map guide places Beast Demons at the village gate at night. (Slayers 2 Guide Wiki; Slayers 2 Guide Wiki, map.) Search the gate and nearby open roads after dark, then move along the route if no Beast Born Demons are present.

Snow region: an alternate reported route
A separate materials guide says beast-type demons can be found in the snow region and warns that the biome causes continuous cold damage; bring healing if you choose to try it. That guide describes the enemies there as harder to kill. (Slayers 2 Wiki Editors, September 20, 2026.) The location reports do not establish that Mistfall Harbor and the snow region share one confirmed spawn system. Treat the snow route as an alternative to verify in your live game, rather than assuming it is as well corroborated as Mistfall Harbor.
What Beast Cores are used for

Collecting the listed amounts for all three styles would total 12 Beast Cores. The same guide reports Tai Chi as requiring at least 5 cores, but presents that requirement less definitively; check the trainer prompt before farming for it.
Check the trainer before committing to a farm
Community guides differ on some requirements. One materials guide says Sound Breathing uses Beast Cores instead of Demon Horns, while the dedicated guide’s trainer list generally describes other styles as requiring Demon Horns and mentions a variable or conflicting Sound requirement. Confirm the live trainer prompt and item Archives for your current game version.
