There is no single biggest jet by every measure. The Gulfstream G700 is listed as slightly longer than the Dassault Falcon 10X, while the Falcon 10X has the greater wingspan and the larger published cabin volume. Bombardier reports 74.58 m³ of cabin volume for the Global 7500, but the accessible source material does not establish its exterior length, wingspan or height, so a complete three-aircraft dimensional ranking would be misleading.
What “size” means in a private-jet comparison
“Largest business jet” can refer to several different measurements:
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
- Exterior length: the aircraft’s nose-to-tail footprint, relevant to parking positions, hangar depth and some airport-stand limits.
- Wingspan: the distance from wingtip to wingtip, often the most restrictive dimension for hangars, taxiways and gates.
- Exterior height: important for hangar-door clearance and maintenance access.
- Cabin length: the usable longitudinal space inside the pressurized passenger area.
- Cabin width and height: the dimensions passengers feel most directly when moving, dining or standing.
- Cabin volume: a three-dimensional total that can provide a useful headline comparison, but only when manufacturers measure the same boundaries.
- Range: an operating capability rather than a physical dimension; it must be read with speed, payload, passenger count and reserve assumptions.
Those measures do not necessarily identify the same winner. A jet can be longer outside yet provide a smaller cabin, or have a larger cabin volume while being less demanding on a hangar because of a narrower wingspan.

The Global 7500 row is intentionally incomplete: the reviewed source passage supplied a cabin-volume figure but did not expose matching external dimensions. Do not fill those gaps from memory and then present the result as a verified ranking.
Exterior footprint: length, span and height
The G700 is marginally longer than the Falcon 10X
Gulfstream lists the G700 at 109 ft 10 in (33.48 m). Dassault lists the Falcon 10X at 109 ft 7 in (33.40 m). That is a difference of only 3 inches (0.08 m), small enough that operational planning should focus on the airport or hangar’s published limits rather than on the headline ranking.
The Falcon 10X has the wider wingspan
The Falcon 10X is listed with a 110 ft 4 in (33.60 m) span, compared with 103 ft (31.39 m) for the G700. The difference is 7 ft 4 in (2.21 m). For an owner or operator, that span gap can matter more than the 3-inch length difference when checking hangar width, wingtip clearance, taxiway classification or gate compatibility.
The Falcon 10X is also taller externally
Dassault gives the 10X an exterior height of 27 ft 7 in (8.4 m), while Gulfstream lists 25 ft 5 in (7.75 m) for the G700. A hangar assessment therefore needs both door height and internal clearance, not just floor length.

Global 7500 exterior dimensions are not established here
The accessible Global 7500 material used for this comparison did not expose verified length, wingspan or height figures. Because those values are missing from the source text, this article does not claim that the Global 7500 is longer, wider or taller than either competitor. A buyer comparing hangars should obtain the current aircraft dimensions directly from Bombardier’s technical documentation for the relevant configuration.
Cabin size: the measurements passengers actually experience
Published cabin-volume figures
| Aircraft | Published cabin volume | Source definition or qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Dassault Falcon 10X | 2,780 ft³ (78.70 m³) | Manufacturer specification |
| Bombardier Global 7500 | 74.58 m³ | Bombardier Environmental Product Declaration; total accommodation volume includes pressurized areas accessible to crew and passengers |
| Gulfstream G700 | 2,603 ft³ (73.71 m³) | Manufacturer specification |
On the published numbers, the Falcon 10X has the largest listed cabin volume: 2,780 ft³, or 78.70 m³. The G700 figure is 2,603 ft³, or 73.71 m³. Bombardier’s Global 7500 declaration reports 74.58 m³, which sits between those two values when converted, but the measurement boundaries are not proven identical. Bombardier explicitly defines its total accommodation volume as pressurized areas accessible to crew and passengers; a competitor may use a different boundary or counting convention. Treat the figures as manufacturer-reported indicators, not as a standardized laboratory ranking.
Cabin length, width and height for the 10X and G700
| Aircraft | Cabin length | Cabin width | Cabin height | Maximum passenger specification |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Dassault Falcon 10X | 53 ft 12 in (16.40 m) on the product page; Dassault’s backgrounder gives 53 ft 10 in | 109 in (2.77 m) | 80 in (2.03 m) | 19 passengers |
| Gulfstream G700 | 56 ft 11 in, excluding baggage | 8 ft 2 in (2.49 m) | 6 ft 3 in (1.91 m) | Up to 19 seats |
The source pages use slightly different presentation conventions. Dassault’s product page reports 53 ft 12 in for cabin length, while its backgrounder reports 53 ft 10 in; both are retained rather than converted into false precision. Gulfstream’s 56 ft 11 in cabin-length figure excludes baggage, so it should not be compared with a number that includes baggage compartments.

The 10X is listed as wider and taller inside: 109 inches wide and 80 inches high, versus the G700’s 8 ft 2 in (98 inches) width and 6 ft 3 in (75 inches) height. Gulfstream lists the longer cabin. This is why cabin volume alone does not describe the whole experience: one aircraft can provide more headroom and lateral space while another offers more longitudinal room.

Cabin zones and layout flexibility
Bombardier’s Environmental Product Declaration describes four configurable cabin zones for the Global 7500. The number of zones is a layout characteristic, not a promise that every aircraft has the same furniture or seating plan. Dassault lists 19 as the Falcon 10X’s maximum passenger capacity, and Gulfstream lists up to 19 seats for the G700. Maximum figures are certification or manufacturer capacity specifications; a particular customer cabin may seat fewer people to create larger lounges, dining areas, bedrooms or workspaces.
Range is not a size measurement
All three aircraft are designed for long-range missions, but their headline numbers use different assumptions.
| Aircraft | Published range | Conditions stated by the source | How to interpret it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Falcon 10X | 7,500 nautical miles | 8 passengers and NBAA IFR reserves | Manufacturer figure tied to the stated passenger and reserve assumptions |
| G700 | 7,750 nautical miles | Theoretical NBAA IFR range at Mach 0.85, 8 passengers, 4 crew and NBAA IFR reserves | Not a guaranteed route distance; “theoretical” and the operating assumptions are material |
| Global 7500 | 7,700 nautical miles | Reported in a 2021 PwC report prepared for Bombardier as program-history context | Do not treat this passage as a current, directly comparable specification without confirming Bombardier’s present assumptions |
The G700’s 7,750-nm figure is 250 nm above the 10X’s stated 7,500 nm, but the comparison is meaningful only if the speed, payload, crew, reserves, temperature, winds and runway assumptions align. The Global 7500’s 7,700-nm figure comes from program history in the cited 2021 report, not from a complete three-aircraft test under one standardized method. Real dispatch planning also accounts for weather, alternate airports, payload, runway performance and air-traffic routing.

If you use the published volume figures
The Falcon 10X has the highest listed volume at 2,780 ft³ (78.70 m³). The Global 7500’s 74.58 m³ and the G700’s 2,603 ft³ (73.71 m³) are lower on their reported numbers. Because the manufacturers’ volume definitions may differ, this is a comparison of published figures rather than an independently verified universal ranking.

If standing height and width matter most
The Falcon 10X’s listed 109-inch width and 80-inch height exceed the G700’s 98-inch width and 75-inch height. Those five inches of additional height and 11 inches of additional width can affect aisle feel, shoulder room, storage integration and the practicality of standing throughout more of the cabin.
If usable longitudinal space matters most
Gulfstream lists the G700 cabin at 56 ft 11 in excluding baggage, while Dassault’s pages list the 10X at either 53 ft 12 in or 53 ft 10 in. The G700 therefore has the longer published passenger cabin measurement, subject to the baggage-exclusion qualification and the differing source conventions.
If the Global 7500 is the candidate
The Global 7500 has a substantial published cabin-volume figure and four configurable zones, but the supplied dimensional record does not provide matching cabin length, width, height or exterior measurements. A serious comparison should request the current specification sheet and confirm whether its volume boundary matches the 10X and G700 definitions before declaring it the largest.
What the figures mean for ownership and operations
Hangar and airport fit
Start with wingspan, then verify length and height. The Falcon 10X’s 110 ft 4 in span is materially wider than the G700’s 103 ft span, even though the two aircraft have nearly identical lengths. Check the usable internal dimensions of the hangar, door opening, tail clearance, wingtip clearance, tug path and fire-code restrictions. Airport stands and taxiways may impose separate limits from the hangar.
Best Value
Passenger comfort
Cabin height changes whether tall passengers can stand naturally; width affects seating pitch, aisle movement and the ability to place large consoles or side-facing divans; length controls how many distinct social and private areas can be arranged. A volume number cannot tell you whether the space is concentrated in one lounge or distributed across several zones.
Seating versus living space
A 19-seat maximum does not mean a 19-seat executive interior is the best choice for every mission. Operators often trade seats for berths, dining, conference seating, baggage capacity or crew rest. Ask for the exact completion layout, not only the airframe’s maximum seating headline.
How to make a defensible size comparison
- Choose the metric before choosing the winner. State whether your decision is based on hangar footprint, passenger standing room, cabin volume, cabin length or another measure.
- Separate exterior and interior tables. Do not let an aircraft’s long fuselage imply a larger cabin, and do not use cabin volume to answer a hangar-clearance question.
- Record the source and date for every figure. The values here are manufacturer specifications, a Bombardier environmental declaration and a 2021 report prepared for Bombardier; none is an independent head-to-head test.
- Keep units visible. Preserve the published feet-and-inches figures alongside metric conversions so rounding does not conceal meaningful differences.
- Check measurement boundaries. Confirm whether cabin length excludes baggage and whether volume includes only passenger space or all accessible pressurized accommodation.
- Normalize range assumptions. Compare passenger count, crew, cruise speed, reserves and payload before using nautical-mile figures for route planning.
- Verify the delivered configuration. Ask the manufacturer or completion center for the actual cabin plan, seat count, baggage arrangement and current performance data for the aircraft under consideration.
- Confirm availability separately. Dassault’s Falcon 10X product material provides specifications, but the reviewed page does not establish present certification or customer-delivery status. Do not infer delivery timing from the dimensions table.
Aircraft-by-aircraft interpretation
Bombardier Global 7500
The Global 7500 is represented here by Bombardier’s reported 74.58 m³ cabin volume and four configurable zones. Its program-history material cites 7,700 nautical miles, but that figure is not presented in the same complete assumption set as the G700 and Falcon 10X values. The accessible source text does not establish its external dimensions, so the Global 7500 cannot be placed reliably in a three-way length, span or height ranking from this evidence alone.

Dassault Falcon 10X
The Falcon 10X has the largest published cabin volume in this set at 2,780 ft³ (78.70 m³), the widest listed cabin at 109 inches and the tallest at 80 inches. Its exterior figures are 109 ft 7 in long, 110 ft 4 in wide across the wings and 27 ft 7 in high. Dassault lists 7,500 nautical miles with eight passengers and NBAA IFR reserves, plus a maximum passenger figure of 19. Dassault’s maiden-flight page says, “The Falcon 10X offers the most spacious cabin in business aviation.” That sentence is Dassault’s own claim, not an independent industry ranking. The reviewed product material also does not establish current certification or delivery status.
Gulfstream G700
The G700 is listed as 109 ft 10 in long, making it 3 inches longer than the Falcon 10X, but its 103-ft wingspan is narrower. Gulfstream publishes a 56 ft 11 in cabin length excluding baggage, 8 ft 2 in of width, 6 ft 3 in of height and 2,603 ft³ (73.71 m³) of cabin volume. Its 7,750-nm range is explicitly theoretical and assumes Mach 0.85, eight passengers, four crew and NBAA IFR reserves. The page lists up to 19 seats.
Bottom line for buyers and readers
Use the Falcon 10X when “largest cabin” means the highest published volume, greatest listed width or greatest listed height among the figures shown. Use the G700 when the relevant metric is the slightly longer published exterior length or longer published cabin length, while remembering that its cabin is narrower and lower on the stated dimensions. Treat the Global 7500 as a serious large-cabin contender whose 74.58 m³ figure and four-zone description are documented, but do not assign it a definitive exterior-size rank until matching current dimensions and measurement definitions are verified.
