Amazon’s October sale is Prime Big Deal Days, running October 6–7, 2026—not its June Prime Day event. For PS5 shoppers, the clearest reported savings are on games and accessories; a new-console discount is harder to find, so compare Amazon listings with Sony Certified Refurbished options and verify the live price, condition and seller before buying.
What Prime Day PS5 deals are available now?
Amazon says Prime Big Deal Days runs October 6–7, 2026, and describes it as a Prime-member event with deals available while supplies last. That does not establish that every PS5 listing requires Prime, or guarantee a particular console deal. Check the membership terms on the individual listing and at checkout. Amazon’s event announcement is the source for the dates and event details.

Amazon’s regular 2026 Prime Day took place June 23–26, according to its Prime Day preview. The two events should not be confused when comparing older deal coverage with current offers.

Tom’s Guide reported early Prime Big Deal Days gaming offers on PS5 games and accessories starting at $6 in an October 1, 2026 guide. That is a dated starting-price snapshot, not confirmation that any specific item—or the same price—remains available on October 7. Check the guide for its reported offers, then confirm the exact title or accessory, seller and checkout total on the live listing.

- Model Number CFI-2000
- Includes DualSense Wireless Controller, 1TB SSD, 2 Horizontal Stand Feet, HDMI Cable, AC power cord, USB cable, printed materials, ASTRO’s PLAYROOM (Pre-installed game)
- Vertical Stand sold seperately
For a useful comparison, match the same game edition or accessory model and check whether the offer is new, bundled, or sold by a third-party seller. A low advertised price can be less compelling if it is for a different edition or excludes an item included in another bundle.
PS5 console deals: compare new and certified refurbished
GamesRadar’s October 2026 PS5 deals coverage reported Sony Certified Refurbished prices of $499 for a PS5 Digital Edition and $549 for a PS5 Slim in the US. These are retailer-reported snapshot prices, not official Amazon prices or guaranteed live offers; stock and pricing can change. GamesRadar also characterized discounts on new consoles as difficult to find. See its PS5 deals coverage and check Sony’s current listing separately before treating either figure as available.

Sony Certified Refurbished consoles are a separate buying route through PlayStation Direct, not Amazon inventory. Compare them with new Amazon offers as different conditions and sellers, rather than assuming a refurbished price is directly equivalent to a new-console deal. Current availability and program terms are not established by the reported snapshot.
How to judge whether a PS5 offer is worth buying
- Compare the checkout total: Include shipping, tax where shown, and any bundle contents; compare like-for-like models and included items rather than relying on a discount percentage.
- Confirm the console configuration: Check whether it is a Digital Edition or has a disc drive, and whether the listing is for the same PS5 model you intend to buy.
- Read the condition and seller: Distinguish new from certified refurbished and check who fulfills and sells the item.
- Inspect the listing terms: Verify warranty, returns, stock and any Prime-member requirement on the offer itself. These details can differ between listings.
- Recheck immediately before purchase: Sale prices and availability can change; note the retailer and time you checked if you are comparing offers.

Amazon is not the only source of PlayStation promotions. Sony’s Days of Play 2026 promotion ran May 27–June 10. Its Days of Play page points shoppers to PlayStation Blog and PlayStation.com for future promotion details. That event has ended; it is useful as an example of a separate PlayStation sales channel, not evidence of a current discount.
