Is this gaming PC deal worth it?
Start with the graphics card and the resolution and settings you want. Dell’s gaming desktop buying guidance calls the GPU the component with the biggest impact on gaming performance. That is useful selection advice from a manufacturer that also sells gaming PCs, not independent test evidence. A discount does not make a weak or unsuitable GPU a good fit.

What specs should I look for in a prebuilt gaming PC?
GPU and CPU balance
Compare the exact GPU model first, then the processor. A powerful GPU paired with a CPU that limits performance in the games you play can be a poor balance; conversely, an expensive processor does not compensate for an entry-level graphics card when gaming is the priority. Deal listings show meaningful differences: an RTX 5060 system with 16 GB of DDR4 and 1 TB SSD is not the same package as one with 32 GB of DDR5 and 2 TB of storage. A smaller SSD can mean earlier cleanup or an additional drive purchase. Confirm whether the listing specifies memory configuration and whether any advertised capacity is upgradeable.

Look for credible details about cooling and chassis design rather than assuming they are good from product photos or a brand name. Check whether the case, power supply, motherboard, memory and storage are standard, and whether upgrades can be made without replacing proprietary parts.
