What to know about Prime Big Deal Days 2026
Amazon says the U.S. event runs for 48 hours, starting at 12:01 a.m. PDT on Tuesday, October 6 and ending at 11:59 p.m. PDT on Wednesday, October 7. Dates may differ outside the U.S. Amazon says Prime membership is required to access event deals. Its event FAQ also says the sale spans more than 35 categories, so a discount badge alone is no reason to buy something you do not need. Amazon’s event FAQ has the event details.

The prices below are snapshots reported by Tom’s Guide, not confirmed live prices or proof of a product’s usual street price. Check the exact product, bundle, and price on Amazon before deciding.

Amazon’s own roundup names an Arlo Essential Indoor Pan Tilt Zoom Security Camera, Something from Nothing cookbook, amika anti-frizz set, Calvin Klein boxer briefs, Skillmatics Disney Princess craft kit, Premier Protein shakes, and LiyLou walking pad among products with large stated discounts. These are examples selected by the retailer; the roundup does not establish independent price histories for them. Amazon’s deal roundup includes its current selection, which may change with availability.
How to tell if an offer is worth buying
- Match the exact item. Check model or generation, size, color, bundle contents, and pack quantity. A discount on a different version does not establish value for the one you intend to buy.
- Check price history. Amazon says the “Price History” link on a product detail page can show up to 365 days of pricing data. Use it to see whether the current price is unusual for that specific listing; Amazon does not set a universal threshold for what counts as a good deal.
- Compare the product with your needs. For electronics, review compatibility, display or audio features, and ports. For consumables, compare the unit price and quantity. For toys and gifts, check age suitability and included pieces.
- Confirm the terms at checkout. Check Prime eligibility, stock, delivery timing, and the applicable return and warranty terms before placing an order.
- Recheck before buying. Amazon says offers and availability can change, and limited offers may sell out. A previously reported price is not a promise that the offer remains active.
Amazon’s deal schedule and price tools
Amazon describes new “Today’s Big Deals” drops at midnight, 8 a.m., and 1 p.m. PDT, while noting that limited offers last only while supplies last. The retailer also says its 2026 roundup includes more than 150 deals. Those figures describe Amazon’s own event and roundup, not an independent assessment of savings. Why this guide does not list 50 unverified bargains
A useful deal list needs current prices, a time checked, the exact item variant, and enough product evidence to explain who should buy it. The cited examples provide only a few price snapshots, while the retailer’s category examples and discount claims do not supply consistent independent price histories or review evidence. Listing 50 products as “actually good” without those checks would overstate what is established. Treat the named items as leads to verify, not endorsements or guaranteed offers.
