One free scan finds every outdated or missing driver and matches the right update for your exact hardware.Free scan · exact hardware matchPortable power station specs don’t tell you exactly how much energy you’ll get, how quickly a unit will recharge, or whether it suits your appliances and solar setup. Those answers depend on the exact model and test conditions. Independent comparisons show meaningful differences even among units from the same brand, so use the figures below to compare specific models—not to declare one brand universally best.
1. Rated capacity is not the same as usable energy
A 1,024 Wh rating does not mean every output will deliver 1,024 Wh to your devices. Inverter losses and standby draw can reduce energy delivered through AC outlets, and DC results can differ. In Solar Power Auditor’s test, units were charged fully, drained to shutdown under a constant 300 W AC load, and measured at the outlet. Its results varied from 80% to 93% of rated capacity among the listed models.

2. Results depend on which output you use
AC and DC output paths can deliver different amounts of energy. In Ampcarry’s account of ADAC measurements, four tested units delivered more energy over DC than AC. For example, the Anker SOLIX C800 Plus delivered 663 Wh on DC versus 630 Wh on AC. That difference illustrates why a capacity figure should be tied to the output measured; it does not establish how other models will perform.

A separate Outdoor Life test used an AC grow light drawing roughly 34 W to represent a modest continuous load and also conducted a higher draw-down test. Those procedures differ from Solar Power Auditor’s 300 W AC test, so their percentages should not be treated as results from one controlled head-to-head comparison. Ampcarry’s account of the ADAC test and Outdoor Life’s test description.
3. The brand name won’t predict capacity performance
In Solar Power Auditor’s results, EcoFlow models ranged from 93% of rated capacity for the DELTA Pro 3 to 81% for the River 2 Pro. That within-brand spread is larger than the differences between several competing models in the list. Compare the exact model, test setup, and load rather than assuming one maker’s units share a single performance profile.

4. A recharge-time claim needs a test condition
Charge times can differ from advertised figures, but the results do not support a blanket judgment about any manufacturer. Solar Power Auditor reports the following claim-versus-measurement comparisons; its comparison excerpts do not establish every test condition or the exact date of its tests.

5. A solar-input ceiling is not a forecast of solar generation
Solar input ratings state a maximum supported input, not how much energy a station will collect over a day. Solar Power Auditor lists a 1,000 W input ceiling for the BLUETTI Elite 100 V2 and Elite 200 V2, and 400 W for the Jackery units in its test. Actual input depends on compatible panels, their configuration, site conditions, and the station’s voltage and current limits. Verify those limits and panel compatibility in the manual for the exact model.
6. Output watts and surge behavior determine what you can run
Capacity describes stored energy; output ratings determine whether the station can power a device at all. Before buying, check continuous watts, surge watts, output type, and the sockets your devices require. Motor-driven appliances may draw more when starting than while running, so a station that meets the appliance’s normal wattage may still fail at startup. Where possible, check the appliance’s startup demand rather than relying only on its running-power label.

7. Weight matters if the station must be carried
A high-capacity unit can be useful at a fixed campsite or during an outage at home, but awkward if you need to carry it any distance. Compare the exact model’s weight and form factor with where it will be used and how it must be moved. Outdoor Life’s lineup reports differences in model weight, but its table does not establish current specifications for every region or later revision; verify the product documentation for the unit you are considering.

8. Expansion support is model-specific
Some systems can accept add-on batteries, while others cannot—or support only particular accessories. If you may need more capacity later, confirm the exact station’s compatible expansion batteries and the resulting system capacity in its current documentation. Do not infer compatibility from a shared brand name or a similar-looking model number.

9. Cycle-life counts need a remaining-capacity endpoint
A cycle rating is incomplete without the capacity threshold it uses. Solar Power Auditor notes that some Jackery products are rated to 70% remaining capacity, while competitors use 80% endpoints, even where cycle-count headlines look similar. Those endpoints describe different levels of retained capacity, so the headline counts are not directly comparable on their own. Check the exact model’s warranty wording and cycle-life definition.
10. Manuals can clarify safety, noise, and specification discrepancies
Marketing pages and technical documents may not match, according to discrepancies identified in Solar Power Auditor’s comparison for the BLUETTI Elite 100 V2 noise figures and AC70 charging input. Check the current manual for the exact model and revision instead of assuming the headline specification resolves the difference.
Safety findings also need their test context. ADAC published a test on 11 June 2025 of eight units rated from 768 to 1,440 Wh. Ampcarry reports grades of 2.0 for the BLUETTI AC180P, 2.1 for the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus, 2.5 for the Anker SOLIX C800 Plus, and 5.0 for the Jackery Explorer 1000 v2; it says the Jackery grade was tied to a safety finding on its DC charging inputs. This is a report of that test, not a current, universal safety judgment about the brand or all of its products.

How to choose for your use
- List the devices. Record their running watts, startup demand where relevant, required output type, and how many hours you need them to run.
- Compare energy delivered, not just rated Wh. Prefer a measured result for the exact model and output path you plan to use. Treat results from different test procedures as separate evidence.
- Match recharging to your situation. For wall charging, check the claimed time and available input. For solar, verify voltage/current limits, panel compatibility, and maximum input in the exact model’s manual.
- Check portability and future capacity. Consider the unit’s weight and whether documented expansion support fits your likely needs.
- Read the model-specific documentation. Confirm the precise variant, region, revision, cycle-life endpoint, warranty language, and safety guidance.
Solar Power Auditor’s own use-case framing points to Jackery models for carrying, BLUETTI models for solar input, EcoFlow models for recharge speed and expansion, and Anker models for high output in roughly the 1 kWh class. Those are source-specific, model-dependent suggestions—not guarantees about every product from those brands. The same comparison reports substantial differences within brands, so verify each candidate against the job you need it to do.
