Choose the Polar Verity Sense if you want an arm-worn sensor, a swimming-friendly setup, or the option to record a workout on the sensor and sync it later. Choose the Polar H10 if you prefer a chest strap, need GymLink, or want the accuracy advantage Polar states for hard intervals and fast changes in effort. Those accuracy claims are Polar’s guidance, not the result of independent testing.
How the Verity Sense and H10 differ
The Verity Sense measures heart rate optically from the arm; for swimming, it can be worn at the temple with its goggle clip. The H10 uses electrical measurement from a chest strap. The best fit depends both on where you are comfortable wearing a sensor and on the kind of training you do. Polar’s comparison guide describes both devices and their intended uses.

Which one is more accurate?
Polar says the Verity Sense is very close to chest-strap tracking for most steady-state training, while the H10 is more accurate for hard intervals and rapid changes in intensity. This is manufacturer guidance; the available product information does not establish an independent head-to-head result. If your workouts involve frequent all-out efforts or abrupt changes in pace, Polar’s stated advantage points to the H10. For steadier sessions, Polar says the Verity Sense can be close to a chest strap.

The Verity Sense is the clearer swimming choice: it comes with a goggle clip for temple placement, and Polar lists it as water resistant to 50 m. Polar lists the H10 at 30 m. These are manufacturer specifications, not diving ratings; the Verity Sense manual describes its rating as suitable for bathing and swimming. Do not expect ANT+ transmission underwater: Polar says ANT+ does not work under water. The water-resistance rating and the ability to communicate wirelessly while submerged are separate matters.

These are Polar-listed specifications, not independently measured results. The figures describe different things: Verity Sense’s 30 hours is training time per charge, while H10’s 400 hours is operating time on its replaceable battery. The Verity Sense’s larger stated training memory suits recording sessions for later syncing; the H10 stores one session of up to 30 hours. Check compatibility before buying
Polar lists iOS 13 or later, or Android 7 or later with Bluetooth 4.0 capability, as minimum mobile requirements. Android devices can differ in how they handle Bluetooth Low Energy and other protocols, so Polar does not guarantee every feature on every Android device. Third-party apps and equipment need BLE or ANT+ support for those connections.
Polar says ANT+ works with the H10 on firmware 3.0.35 or newer and with the Verity Sense on any firmware version. If ANT+ is essential, check the H10’s firmware and confirm that the device or app you plan to use supports the relevant connection. H10’s GymLink is a separate option for compatible equipment; the Verity Sense does not support it. Polar’s ANT+ support information covers these connection details.

Make the choice based on your use
Choose Verity Sense if
- You would rather wear a sensor on your arm than a chest strap.
- Swimming is a regular activity and the goggle-clip placement works for you.
- You want to record a workout on the sensor and sync it afterward.
- Your phone, watch, or app supports BLE or ANT+.
Choose H10 if
- You are comfortable wearing a chest strap.
- You do hard intervals or rapid changes in effort and want the accuracy advantage Polar states for those conditions.
- You need 5 kHz GymLink for compatible equipment.
- You prefer a replaceable battery and Polar’s longer stated operating time.
