Pokémon UNITE is adding Jolteon and Flareon to its battle roster on October 13, 2026, alongside an Eevee Festival. The word “new” in the announcement refers to their arrival in the game: Jolteon and Flareon are established Eevee evolutions, not newly revealed Pokémon species.
What is happening on October 13?
A September 30, 2026 announcement on the Pokémon UNITE official Asia website says Jolteon and Flareon will join Pokémon UNITE battles from 4:00 PM on October 13. The Eevee Festival also begins at 4:00 PM that day. The notice gives the event period as October 13 through December 1, ending at 8:59 AM JST.

No new Eeveelution species are identified in the October 13 announcement. The official Pokémon US Pokédex entry for Eevee lists eight evolutions: Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, Glaceon, and Sylveon. That is the roster shown on the page reviewed; it is not a prediction about whether Pokémon might introduce another evolution in the future.

What will Jolteon and Flareon do in Pokémon UNITE?
The UNITE notice describes game roles and abilities, rather than changes to the Pokémon species roster. It identifies Jolteon as a Speedster and Flareon as an All-Rounder, with attack descriptions specific to their gameplay. The announcement also introduces an Eevee Appeal-o-rama quick battle, where each teammate can choose a different Eevee evolution to produce a special effect.
Together, the roster additions and the themed quick battle make this an in-game Eevee celebration. They do not amount to a franchise-wide reveal of newly created evolutions.
