What Pokémon spawn during Halloween Part I?
Part I emphasizes costumed Pokémon and Ghost- and Poison-themed encounters. The announcement says you may encounter the following in the wild, along with other event Pokémon:
- Zubat wearing a top hat
- Duskull
- Piplup wearing a Halloween Mischief costume
- Drifblim wearing a Halloween Mischief costume
Three new costumed Pokémon debut in Part I:
- Pikachu wearing a hat and capelet
- Zubat wearing a top hat
- Sinistea wearing a bow
A Shiny version of a debuting costumed Pokémon may be encountered if you are lucky. The debut does not make a Shiny encounter certain, and the announcement does not promise that every player will see one.
What Pokémon spawn during Halloween Part II?
Part II changes the featured wild pool. Announced examples are:
- Litwick
- Rowlet wearing a Pokémon Halloween costume
- Greavard
- Gengar wearing a Spooky Festival costume
Part II is the first opportunity to encounter Shiny Greavard in Pokémon GO. Shiny Greavard may appear in the wild or through the GO Pass and Field Research, but the chance is not guaranteed through any of those routes.

| Shiny highlight | Shiny debut Pokémon may appear if you are lucky | First chance for Shiny Greavard | Shiny encounters are always chance-based |
How do the Part I trick-or-treat map surprises work?
During Part I, mischievous Pokémon can leave spooky surprises on the map. Tap a surprise when you see one to reveal its random reward. The announced possibilities are:
- An encounter with an event-themed Pokémon
- Pikachu Candy
- Zubat Candy
- Sinistea Candy
- Rare Candy
This is a chance-based feature. The list describes possible outcomes, not a guaranteed bundle for every tap. If you are specifically farming Candy, treat each surprise as an extra opportunity rather than a replacement for catching Pokémon, using the GO Pass, or completing research.
What Field Research and raid encounters are available?
Event Field Research
Both parts include event-themed Field Research. Completing a task can award an encounter with an event-themed Pokémon. Part II specifically names Greavard as available from Field Research, in addition to its wild and GO Pass routes.
The official announcements do not publish the complete task text or every possible reward encounter. Consequently, the exact task-to-reward mapping cannot be stated reliably in advance. Spin PokéStops during the active part, read the task description in your Research tab, and check the listed reward before deciding which tasks to keep.
Rank #3
- For Pokémon GO $25 Gift Card (3,300 PokéCoins) ONLY. Unleash the full potential of your Pokémon GO adventure with a Pokémon GO $25 gift card!
- This card grants you 3,300 PokéCoins, the in-game currency used to purchase premium items, and upgrades. That’s 100 bonus Pokécoins compared to purchasing in-app!
- Enhance your gameplay by expanding your Pokémon storage, obtaining Poké Balls, and stocking up on items like Incense and Lure Modules.
- Perfect as a gift for Trainers of all levels or as a personal boost, this gift card ensures you stay ahead in your journey to become the best.
- Get your Pokémon GO $25 Gift Card (3,300 PokéCoins) today and transform your Pokémon GO adventure.
One-star raids
One-star raids in both event announcements include:
- Pikachu wearing a hat and capelet
- Sinistea wearing a bow
Raid availability is tied to the event window and local raid rotation. A listed raid boss can appear during the event without being active at every gym at the same time.
What is the Halloween 2026 GO Pass?
The free GO Pass is a temporary progression track. In the Pokémon GO team’s wording, “A GO Pass is a free, limited-time progression track available during a specified period.” You collect GO Points, increase your rank, and unlock rewards along the track while it is active.
Recommended Free Tools
Free-track rewards and rank bonuses
The announced reward pool includes event-themed Pokémon encounters, Candy, Rare Candy and Ultra Balls. At Rank 10, the free track provides a Tier 1 bonus of 2× Candy for catching Pokémon. At Rank 20, it provides a Tier 2 bonus of 2× Stardust for catching Pokémon. The announcements also mention additional bonus tasks without specifying their full contents.
Rank #4

- LOTS OF RANDOM CARDS FROM ALL SERIES: You will receive a variety of regular and energy cards. Duplicates may occur.
- BOOST YOUR COLLECTION: With random cards from every series, each lot is a surprise.

Deluxe options
Deluxe is optional. The announced prices are US$7.99 for Deluxe and US$9.99 for Deluxe plus 10 ranks, with equivalent local pricing and regional availability caveats. Deluxe holders receive the following upgraded or additional benefits:
| Pass option | Catch-Candy bonus at Rank 10 | Catch-Stardust bonus at Rank 20 | Additional announced rewards | Price information |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free GO Pass | 2× Candy | 2× Stardust | Event encounters, Candy, Rare Candy and Ultra Balls | Free |
| GO Pass Deluxe | 3× Candy | 3× Stardust | Additional encounters, Rare Candy XL, Premium Battle Passes and avatar clothing | US$7.99; equivalent local pricing and regional availability may differ |
| GO Pass Deluxe plus 10 ranks | 3× Candy once the stated rank bonus is reached | 3× Stardust once the stated rank bonus is reached | Deluxe reward package plus 10 additional ranks | US$9.99; equivalent local pricing and regional availability may differ |
Buying Deluxe does not turn a wild or Shiny encounter into a guarantee. It changes the reward track and its bonuses. Compare the extra encounters, Rare Candy XL, Premium Battle Passes, clothing and the higher multipliers with how actively you expect to play before purchasing.
When must GO Pass rewards be claimed?
Rewards you unlock on the pass expire on November 7, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time. That is later than the event’s November 5 end, but it is still a firm claim deadline in the announcement. Open the pass and claim every earned item before that time; do not assume unclaimed rewards will remain available indefinitely.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →How do the Halloween event bonuses affect Candy and Stardust?
The two rank milestones are the main catch bonuses: Rank 10 grants 2× Candy on the free track or 3× with Deluxe, and Rank 20 grants 2× Stardust on the free track or 3× with Deluxe. These are bonuses for catching Pokémon, so they are most valuable when you combine them with active wild spawns and a supply of Poké Balls.

A practical Candy plan
- Progress the free GO Pass as soon as Part I begins by collecting GO Points through the activities shown in the pass.
- Reach Rank 10 before spending your largest stock of catches if you want the catch-Candy multiplier to apply to them.
- During the active multiplier, prioritize event species for which you need Candy, and use Pinap Berries when you can safely catch the Pokémon.
- Check Part I map surprises for the chance of Pikachu, Zubat, Sinistea or Rare Candy rewards.
- Use Field Research and raids as additional encounter routes rather than assuming a particular species will fill the wild pool.
A practical Stardust plan
Rank 20 is the relevant milestone for catch Stardust. If you are planning a large catching session, reaching that rank first lets the 2× or 3× Stardust bonus apply to subsequent catches. The announcements do not state that the multiplier applies to raid rewards, research rewards or other Stardust sources, so treat it specifically as a catching bonus.
What changes for Mega Sableye in Part II?
Part II introduces the ability to raise Mega Sableye to Super Max level. A Sableye must reach Max level before it can advance to Super Max, and Mega Energy is required to power it up.
While Mega Evolved, Sableye can use the additional Charged Attack Night Shade+. The announcement lists its power as 55 in Trainer Battles and 160 in Raid Battles. Its attack power increases with Mega Level, so the listed values should be read as the announced move specifications rather than a promise of identical performance at every level or in every battle situation.
Quick Recap
- Raise Sableye to Max level first.
- Gather the required Mega Energy.
- Advance it to Super Max when the Part II feature is available.
- Mega Evolve it to use Night Shade+ and benefit from the applicable Mega Level.
Which route should you use for each goal?
| Your goal | Best announced route | Important limitation |
|---|---|---|
| Find costumed Pikachu, Zubat or Sinistea | Part I wild encounters, one-star raids and event activities | Listed encounters may not appear for every player |
| Find Shiny Greavard | Part II wild spawns, GO Pass and Field Research | It is a possibility, not a guaranteed reward |
| Earn extra Candy | Reach Rank 10, catch Pokémon during the multiplier and tap Part I map surprises | Map rewards are random; the multiplier requires the rank milestone |
| Earn extra Stardust | Reach Rank 20, then catch Pokémon during the multiplier | The announced bonus is for catching Pokémon |
| Get Rare Candy XL or avatar items | Use the Deluxe reward track | Deluxe costs money and local availability can differ |
| Power up Mega Sableye | Use Part II’s Super Max feature and Mega Energy | Sableye must reach Max level before Super Max |
Halloween 2026 checklist
- Confirm which part is active before hunting a featured species; the pool changes when Part I hands off to Part II.
- Open the GO Pass and track your GO Points and rank, even if you stay on the free track.
- Look for Part I spooky map surprises and tap them for their chance-based rewards.
- Spin PokéStops for event Field Research, then read each task’s actual reward instead of relying on an assumed list.
- Check nearby gyms for the announced one-star costumed Pikachu and Sinistea raids.
- If you want the catch bonuses, plan your biggest catching sessions after Rank 10 or Rank 20.
- If you buy Deluxe, claim every unlocked item no later than November 7 at 8:00 p.m. local time.
- For Part II Mega Sableye progression, verify that Sableye is at Max level and that you have enough Mega Energy.
