The announcement names wild encounters and GO Pass or Field Research rewards as ways to find it, but does not guarantee an encounter or publish shiny odds. This is a debut for Greavard’s Shiny form in Pokémon GO—not a new Pokémon species.

“For the first time in Pokémon GO, you’ll be able to encounter Shiny Greavard—if you’re lucky!” the Pokémon GO team says. The qualification matters: the announcement confirms availability, not a guaranteed catch or a particular chance of finding one.
