The Pokémon Red & Pokémon Blue Game Music Collection: Game Boy Jukebox contains 45 miniature cartridges with music and sound from the original Kanto games. The set includes location themes, route-transition pieces, battle music, character cues, healing and evolution sounds, and brief effects—not 45 full-length songs.

Below is the complete cartridge list, followed by what the collection covers, what it leaves out, and how it differs from Pokémon’s separate online Game Sound Library.

What the Pokémon Game Boy Jukebox is

Announced by The Pokémon Company International on February 27, 2026, the Pokémon Red & Pokémon Blue Game Music Collection: Game Boy Jukebox is a physical miniature player styled after the original Game Boy. It is supplied with 45 cartridges. Each cartridge contains a familiar melody or sound effect from Pokémon Red or Pokémon Blue, and the player screen shows a relevant in-game screenshot for the selected cartridge.

That scope matters. This is a Generation I, Kanto-focused collection. It is not a compilation of the Pokémon Gold, Pokémon Silver or Pokémon Crystal soundtracks, and the cartridges are not all equivalent to complete, stand-alone songs. Some are substantial themes; others are short musical cues or effects that signal an event in the games.

How the collection is organized

Places and travel

Much of the set is a tour through Kanto. Pallet Town, Pewter City, Cerulean City, Vermilion City, Lavender Town, Celadon City and Cinnabar Island each receive a dedicated theme. Areas such as Viridian Forest, the Caves of Mt. Moon, Pokémon Tower, Rocket Hideout, Silph Co. and Pokémon Mansion provide the more atmospheric side of the soundtrack.

The route titles are unusually specific. “Road to Viridian City: Leaving Pallet Town,” “Road to Cerulean City: Leaving Mt. Moon,” “Road to Bill’s Home: Leaving Cerulean City” and “Road to Lavender Town: Leaving Vermilion City” identify transitions between landmarks rather than simply naming a broad route. “Cycling” and “The Sea” cover two recurring ways of moving through the world.

Characters and encounters

The player also gets character-related cues: “Professor Oak,” “Professor Oak’s Laboratory,” “A Rival Appears,” “Guide” and “Jigglypuff’s Song.” The three trainer-introduction cartridges distinguish girl, boy and bad-guy versions, preserving the encounter categories used by the original games rather than collapsing them into one generic announcement.

Battles and rewards

Battle music is represented in layers. There are separate tracks for wild Pokémon, ordinary trainers and Gym Leaders, with a corresponding victory cue for each battle class. The set then moves through “Evolution,” “The Final Road,” the final rival battle and “Hall of Fame,” giving the collection a clear progression from first encounter to completion.

Are all 45 cartridges full songs?

No. The official product description calls each selection either a familiar melody or a sound effect. In practical terms, a location theme such as “Pallet Town Theme” or “Lavender Town Theme” is a musical piece that can stand on its own, while “Pokémon Healed,” “A Rival Appears” and the victory entries function as brief game cues. Treating every cartridge as a full-length song would misrepresent what is included.

The short cues are part of the appeal for players who remember the games as interactive soundscapes. They mark a rival appearing, a battle ending, a party being healed or a Pokémon evolving. The physical format gives those moments the same collectible status as the longer area themes.

What is not included

  • No Generation II soundtrack: the announced scope is Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue, so Johto music from Gold, Silver and Crystal is outside this set.
  • No claim of every sound in the games: the product has 45 selected cartridges, not an exhaustive dump of every menu beep, move sound, cry or incidental effect.
  • No online-library access implied: owning the physical jukebox does not mean that it is the separate official Pokémon Game Sound Library.

Jukebox versus the Pokémon Game Sound Library

The physical Game Boy Jukebox and the official Pokémon Game Sound Library are different products. The jukebox is a miniature player with a fixed set of physical cartridges and an in-game-screen presentation. The Game Sound Library is an online listening resource. The library should therefore be treated as a separate way to access Pokémon audio, not as an online catalogue that comes automatically with the 45-cartridge set.

  • What You Get: Anker 332 USB-C Hub (5-in-1), welcome guide, our worry-free 18-month warranty, and friendly customer service.

For a collector, the distinction is straightforward: the jukebox is the tangible Red/Blue-themed object and cartridge set; the library is the web-based listening destination. The available tracks, interface and access terms for the online resource can change independently of the physical product.

Availability and date-sensitive details

Pokémon announced the jukebox on February 27, 2026. A Pokémon article dated October 9, 2026 reported that it was back in stock at Pokémon Center. That is a dated stock update, not a promise that units remain available in every country or at the time you read this. Check the Pokémon Center storefront serving your region for current inventory, shipping eligibility and any purchase limits.

Regional storefronts can show different stock and delivery options. If the product is absent, verify that you are viewing the correct country or regional store before assuming the collection has been discontinued.

Best way to use the list

  1. Start with the landmark themes. Play “Pallet Town Theme,” “Pokémon Center,” “Lavender Town Theme” and “Ending Theme” to hear the most immediately recognizable locations and milestones.
  2. Add the travel cues. The four road selections, “Cycling” and “The Sea” show how the game’s music changes while moving between destinations.
  3. Group the battle set. Compare the wild Pokémon, trainer and Gym Leader battle cartridges with their matching victory cues.
  4. Finish with event sounds. “The Poké Flute,” “Pokémon Healed,” “Evolution,” “A Rival Appears” and the trainer-introduction cues demonstrate why the set includes sounds as well as conventional themes.

This order mirrors the way a new player experiences the games: home, exploration, encounters, major battles and eventual completion. It also makes clear why the collection is broader than a simple playlist of city music.

Who will find the jukebox most useful?

  • Generation I players: the location and event cues are tied directly to the original Red/Blue journey.
  • Physical-media collectors: the Game Boy styling, miniature cartridges and screenshot display are central to the object’s appeal.
  • Music-focused fans: the set separates battle variants, route transitions and short event cues that are often combined on general soundtrack releases.
  • Newer players exploring Kanto: the list provides a compact map of the game’s major places and progression beats.

It is less suitable if your goal is a complete archive of every Pokémon generation or every isolated sound effect. Its strength is curation: a finite, physical selection that represents the musical identity and key moments of the two original Kanto games.
