The realme P3 5G has the stronger listed display, chipset, selfie-camera resolution, battery capacity and charging speed. The India-market POCO M7 5G has a larger screen and was listed at a lower price. Choose between them based on whether you value screen size and lower upfront cost or a sharper AMOLED display and higher-tier listed specifications.
Compare the India-market models, not just the names
This comparison is for the India-market POCO M7 5G and realme P3 5G. Model names can be misleading: POCO’s Global page describes a different M7 configuration, including a 6.9-inch FHD+ display, up to 144Hz refresh rate, 7000mAh typical battery and 33W charging. Those figures do not match the India comparison listing for the M7 5G, which gives an HD+ display, 120Hz refresh rate, 5160mAh battery and 18W charging. Check the exact model and regional SKU before buying. POCO Global specifications and the India-market comparison listing show the difference.

Display: POCO is bigger; realme is sharper and AMOLED
The POCO’s listed 6.88-inch screen is larger than the P3’s 6.67-inch panel. The realme counters with a 1080 × 2400 AMOLED display, while the POCO listing specifies a 720 × 1640 IPS LCD. That makes the P3 the stronger choice on resolution and panel type; the POCO is the option if screen size matters more. Both listings give a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, so that figure alone does not distinguish them.

realme’s launch announcement also advertises up to 2000 nits peak brightness for the P3. This is a manufacturer specification, not an independently measured brightness comparison. realme India’s March 10, 2025 launch announcement gives the claim.
Performance: realme has the higher-tier listed chipset
The P3 uses the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4, which realme specifies as a 4nm platform with a peak clock speed of 2.3GHz. The POCO listing names the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2. This gives the realme the stronger chipset specification on paper, but the available figures do not establish how much faster one phone is in everyday use or games. That would require comparable testing under the same conditions.
Cameras: more selfie-camera pixels do not guarantee better photos
Both phones list a 50MP rear camera. The realme P3 has a higher-resolution 16MP front camera, compared with the POCO’s listed 8MP front camera, and realme specifies 4K/30fps rear video recording. Megapixel counts and recording specifications do not by themselves establish image quality; processing, lens performance and shooting conditions also matter.
Battery and charging: realme leads on listed capacity and wattage
The P3’s battery is rated at 6000mAh typical capacity, with a stated minimum of 5860mAh, and it supports 45W charging. The POCO listing gives 5160mAh and 18W charging. These figures favor the P3 for battery capacity and charging speed on paper, but they cannot predict how long either phone lasts for a particular person; endurance depends on usage and test conditions.
realme’s launch announcement calls the battery a “6000mAh Titan battery” and promotes long-lasting performance and quick top-ups. That is the manufacturer’s description, not an independent battery-life result.
Software and memory details to check
The comparison listing shows Android 14 with HyperOS for the POCO, while realme’s official P3 page lists realme UI 6.0 based on Android 15. The comparison page also lists two years of OS updates for each phone and four years of security updates for the POCO versus three years for the P3. Those support durations were not verified against official policies, so confirm the current commitment with the manufacturer before purchase.
realme lists P3 configurations of 6GB RAM with 128GB storage, 8GB with 128GB, and up to 8GB with 256GB. Its page also advertises up to 8GB+10GB dynamic RAM. Dynamic RAM uses storage as expanded memory; it is not additional physical RAM.

Price difference and availability
The comparison page showed ₹12,499 for the POCO M7 5G via Flipkart and ₹15,999 for the realme P3 5G, marked out of stock. That is a ₹3,500 difference in the page’s snapshot, not a confirmed current offer. Prices and availability can change; check the live seller listing, exact RAM/storage variant, warranty region and stock before ordering. The snapshot does not establish availability through other retailers.
Quick Recap
Which phone should you buy?
- Choose the POCO M7 5G if you want the larger listed screen and the lower observed price, and are comfortable with its lower-resolution LCD, 18W charging and listed Snapdragon 4 Gen 2.
- Choose the realme P3 5G if you prioritize an AMOLED panel with higher resolution, the higher-tier listed chipset, a higher-resolution selfie camera, or a larger stated battery with faster charging.
- Pause and verify before buying if a listing simply says “POCO M7.” Confirm that it is the India-market M7 5G and compare the precise SKU, rather than relying on specifications for a differently specified regional model.
