The Poco F9 Ultra is the phone behind the “top-rated smartphone sound quality” headline. Its Bose-tuned 2.1-channel speaker setup pairs two stereo speakers with a separate subwoofer, giving it more low-end presence than most phone speakers. Reviewers praise its loud, balanced sound, but no formal cross-phone ranking establishes it as the objectively best-sounding smartphone.
What is the Poco F9 Ultra’s Bose speaker system?
The F9 Ultra uses two symmetrical 1115D stereo speakers and a separate 1620 subwoofer, forming a 2.1-channel system. Digital Trends describes the hardware configuration, while Notebookcheck’s review also lists the dedicated subwoofer as a strength. The Bose partnership is about tuning the phone’s built-in audio; it does not make the phone equivalent to a standalone speaker or home-theater system.

Gadget Pilipinas reports that Bose tuning applies a 15-level graded approach to calibrate frequencies at different volume levels, with Dynamic and Balanced sound profiles. These profiles offer a choice in presentation, rather than a promise that every track or listening environment will sound the same.

Notebookcheck’s review, titled “Poco F9 Ultra Review: Exceptional battery life meets powerful sound”, praises the phone’s high maximum volume and identifies its speaker system as a pro. Notebookcheck’s launch coverage describes loud, balanced playback with unexpectedly deep low frequencies for a phone of this size. AndroidGuys likewise says it has considerably more low-end presence than the average smartphone.

That bass is relative to other phones. Digital Trends cautions that a device small enough to fit in a pocket will not deliver chest-thumping bass. And while reviewers speak highly of the speakers, the available coverage does not establish a standardized number-one ranking across smartphones. Notebookcheck’s measured loudness and frequency-response figures are not available here, so a precise decibel or response-curve comparison would be unwarranted.
What Bluetooth audio features does it support?
Coverage of the phone lists aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, LDAC, LHDC 5.0, LC3, Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast. These are wireless-audio formats and features; actual playback depends on the headphones or speakers being paired, and on whether the relevant codec or feature is supported and enabled at both ends.

Can you buy the Poco F9 Ultra in the United States?
Poco does not officially sell its flagships in the US, so US buyers would need to import the F9 Ultra. Import availability and seller listings are not verified here. No. The partnership first appeared on the Redmi K90 line: Android Headlines reported in October 2025 that the Redmi K90 Pro Max had a Bose-tuned 2.1-channel system. The Poco F8 Ultra was also reported to carry the partnership. The F9 Ultra continues that approach in Poco’s flagship range.
