The reported Amazon offers are for two different upgrades: a PNY CS2241 1TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe M.2 2280 Complete Upgrade Kit at $135.99, and a PNY 500GB 2.5-inch SATA III SSD at $76.49. Those prices were reported on October 6, 2026, not confirmed live; check the current Amazon listings for price, stock and sale timing before buying. The right choice depends first on whether your computer supports M.2 NVMe or 2.5-inch SATA.
What are the reported Prime Day prices?
TechRadar Pro reported the following Amazon prices on October 6, 2026. PC Gamer also covered the CS2241 offer. These are reported discounts, not confirmation that either offer remains available now.

| Drive | Reported price | Reported previous price | Capacity and format |
|---|---|---|---|
| PNY CS2241 Complete Upgrade Kit | $135.99 | $159.99 | 1TB, M.2 2280 PCIe Gen4 NVMe |
| PNY 2.5-inch SATA III SSD | $76.49 | $109.99 | 500GB, 2.5-inch SATA III |
Both prices and former prices are those reported by TechRadar Pro on October 6, 2026. The reports do not establish a specific end time or a long-term price history, so a marked-down price alone does not show whether it is unusually low over time.
Which drive will fit your computer?
Choose the CS2241 only if your system supports M.2 PCIe NVMe
The CS2241 is a 2280-length M.2 NVMe drive, not a 2.5-inch SATA replacement. Confirm that your computer has an M.2 slot that supports PCIe NVMe storage and that the manufacturer permits the intended upgrade. An M.2 slot can support different interfaces; the shape of the connector by itself is not enough to confirm compatibility.
#1 Best Overall
- UPGRADE YOUR SYSTEM - Upgrade your laptop or desktop computer and feel the difference with super-fast OS boot times and application loads
- SPEEDS - Exceptional performance offering up to 5,100MB/s seq. read and 3,200MB/s seq. write speeds in an NVMe Gen4 enabled PC desktop or laptop computer
- BACKWARDS COMPATIBILITY - Backwards compatible with Gen3, reaching 5,100MB/s seq. read and 3,200MB/s seq. write speeds in a Gen3 motherboard
- PERFORMANCE UPGRADE - High performance Internal SSD with up to 6 times the performance as compared to SATA based SSDs
- ACRONIS SUPPORT - Transfer your data using the included USB 3.0 to NVMe transfer adapter and Acronis software
Choose the 500GB SATA drive only if your system has the right bay and connection
The other offer is a 2.5-inch SATA III SSD, intended for a computer with a compatible 2.5-inch drive bay and SATA connection. PNY’s CS900 product page identifies a 500GB option in its 2.5-inch SATA III family. Check the exact listing model and your system’s supported drive thickness, connection and capacity before ordering.
NVMe and SATA are different interfaces and form factors in these offers; they are not direct substitutes. If you are replacing an existing drive, check its model or consult the computer’s service manual to identify the connection and physical space available.

What does each offer include, and how fast are the drives?
CS2241: higher reported throughput and migration accessories
TechRadar Pro reports sequential speeds of up to 5,100 MB/s read and 3,200 MB/s write for the CS2241 kit. It also reports that the kit includes a USB 3.2-to-NVMe transfer adapter and Acronis software, which may help when moving data from an old drive. Verify the exact package contents on the live listing, and make sure the adapter supports your source drive and transfer plan.

500GB SATA: a conventional 2.5-inch replacement
TechRadar Pro reports up to 550 MB/s sequential read and 500 MB/s sequential write for the 500GB SATA offer, and says the drive is backward compatible with SATA II systems. Treat those as the deal report’s figures for the offered 500GB product, not as independently tested results. PNY’s official page confirms the 500GB option and product family, but its cited 535 MB/s read and 515 MB/s write figures are for a 1TB CS900 listing and should not be applied to the 500GB SKU.

- PCIe 4.0 Gen4: The high-performance Predator GM7 delivers uncompromising speeds up to 7400 MB/s read- and 6500 MB/s write-speeds using the PCIe 4.0 interface and NVMe 2.0. It is the ideal SSD for enthusiasts to ace their games, enabling content creation without any hassle.
- HMB+SLC Cache: Predator GM7 supports HMB (Host Memory Buffer) and is equipped with SLC Cache to provide next-level performance, enabling faster game loads and files transmission.
- Powerful controller and NAND Flash: Equipped with the latest PCIe controller technology and state-of-the-art flash, the Predator GM7 boasts an excellent performance at lower power consumption creating less heat.
- Excellent temperature control: Predator GM7 adopts Thermal Throttling, and Power Management to achieve automatic temperature control, overcoming heat issues even under heavy workload.
- Biwin Intelligence is multifunctional management software, designed to support Predator branded storage products. For a more convenient and more secure storage experience, this software helps users manage their drives with features like performance test, data migration, drive cloning, and more.
The CS2241 figures are higher than the reported SATA figures, but a drive’s advertised sequential speeds do not guarantee an equally large improvement in everyday use. Actual performance depends on system support, workload and other components; the sources do not provide a controlled head-to-head test of these offers.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Which deal should you buy?
- Pick the CS2241 kit if your computer supports M.2 PCIe NVMe, you want 1TB, and the included adapter and software suit your migration needs. The reported $135.99 price is for the 1TB kit, not a generic PNY SSD.
- Pick the 500GB SATA SSD if your system takes a 2.5-inch SATA drive and you need a compatible replacement or capacity upgrade. It offers half the stated capacity of the NVMe kit, so compare that trade-off against your storage needs.
- Pick neither until you verify compatibility if you cannot confirm the interface, bay or M.2 support. A low price cannot make an incompatible drive usable.
For a useful checklist before checkout, confirm the precise product model on Amazon, the computer’s drive interface and form factor, the capacity your system supports, and the current price and availability. Do not confuse the CS2241 with PNY’s separate CS2130 model: PNY lists the CS2130 1TB at up to 3,500 MB/s read and 1,800 MB/s write, with a five-year limited warranty or TBW coverage, but those details do not describe the CS2241 offer.
