पहचानें कि कटौती कहाँ हो रही है
- Screenshot में पेज का हिस्सा नहीं आया: तय करें कि आपको viewport, पूरे scrollable document या सिर्फ menu की तस्वीर चाहिए।

transform,filter,containयाperspectiveदेखें। ऐसे गुण fixed या absolute descendants का containing block बदल सकते हैं। MDN: containing block - Menu अधखुला या गलत अवस्था में कैप्चर हुआ: screenshot से पहले वास्तविक trigger से menu खोलें और उसकी visible state की प्रतीक्षा करें। Screenshot assertion में Playwright animation को डिफ़ॉल्ट रूप से disable कर सकता है; इस्तेमाल किए जा रहे API, भाषा binding और version के विकल्प जाँचें। Playwright PageAssertions
Screenshot का सही दायरा चुनें
पूरा scrollable page
JavaScript में await page.screenshot({ path: 'page.png', fullPage: true }); इस्तेमाल करें। Python में विकल्प का नाम snake_case है: await page.screenshot(path="page.png", full_page=True)। ये capture का क्षेत्र बढ़ाते हैं; CSS clipping नहीं सुधारते।
सिर्फ menu या कोई निश्चित rectangle
किसी menu element की तस्वीर के लिए locator screenshot लें, उदाहरण के लिए JavaScript में await page.locator('[role="menu"]').screenshot({ path: 'menu.png' });। किसी निश्चित rectangle के लिए clip के x, y, width और height सेट करें। Locator screenshot भी ancestor clipping को पार नहीं करता; scrollable element का screenshot उसकी वर्तमान scroll position दिखाता है। विकल्पों के लिए Playwright Screenshots देखें।
CSS clipping, positioning और layering ठीक करें
Clipping ancestor को पहचानें
Browser DevTools में menu से ऊपर की DOM chain देखें और प्रत्येक ancestor की computed overflow तथा dimensions जाँचें। जिस ancestor की सीमा पर menu कटता है, वही अक्सर कारण होता है। अगर menu को panel से बाहर दिखना चाहिए, तो उस ancestor का overflow या height नियम जरूरत के अनुसार बदलें। overflow: visible आज़माने से पहले आसपास के layout और scrolling व्यवहार पर असर जाँचें। overflow: hidden content को दृश्य से clip करता है, भले कुछ मामलों में programmatic scrolling संभव रहे।

Menu को clipping सीमा से बाहर render करें
यदि panel को clipped या scrollable रहना जरूरी है, तो menu को ऐसे DOM container में portal/render करना एक विकल्प है जो clipping ancestor के बाहर हो। दूसरा विकल्प menu को panel के भीतर ही सीमित और scrollable रखना है। इनमें चुनाव अपेक्षित UI व्यवहार पर निर्भर करता है।
Position और stacking context जाँचें
Absolute menu निकटतम qualifying positioned ancestor के सापेक्ष रखा जाता है। Fixed menu सामान्यतः viewport के सापेक्ष होता है, लेकिन कुछ ancestor गुण उसका containing block बदल सकते हैं। साथ में stacking-context chain भी देखें: केवल z-index: 999999 देना पर्याप्त नहीं, यदि parent context नीचे की layer में है।

Overlay या Popover API
यदि menu को scroll panel या card के ऊपर दिखना चाहिए, तो app के अनुरूप portal/overlay pattern या browser Popover API पर विचार करें। Popover top layer में दिख सकता है और invoker के साथ anchor positioning की सुविधा मिल सकती है। इससे अपने आप menu semantics, keyboard व्यवहार या हर target browser की compatibility सुनिश्चित नहीं होती; उन्हें अलग से लागू और जाँचें। MDN: Using the Popover API
Playwright test में menu को विश्वसनीय ढंग से कैप्चर करें
- Production-जैसा viewport और device scale सेट करें।
- User-facing locator से menu trigger सक्रिय करें।
- मनमाना timeout लगाने के बजाय menu की visible/open अवस्था की प्रतीक्षा या assertion करें।
- Menu का bounding box और viewport आकार देखें। Box viewport से बाहर है तो placement जाँचें; box अपेक्षित जगह पर है मगर pixels नहीं दिखते तो overflow और stacking ancestry जाँचें।
- जरूरत के मुताबिक viewport, locator या full-page screenshot लें।
clipबड़ा तभी करें जब artifact सचमुच बड़ा चाहिए; यह गलत layout या CSS clipping का इलाज नहीं है।
