In the U.S. manufacturer pricing cited for these models, the Pixel 10 Pro starts at $999 and the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE at $699.99—a $299.01 difference between starting prices, not a live street-price comparison. The Pixel is smaller and has higher-resolution rear ultrawide and telephoto cameras; the Samsung offers a larger display and a lower starting price. Which is the better buy depends on the storage configuration and the features you value.

How much more does the Pixel 10 Pro cost?

Google lists the Pixel 10 Pro at a U.S. starting price of $999, while Samsung announced the Galaxy S26 FE starting at $699.99 in the U.S. The difference is $299.01, calculated from those two starting figures. These are manufacturer price figures, not verified current retailer prices; Google’s product page has also displayed a temporary $849 offer. Check current pricing and compare the same storage size before buying. Google’s Pixel 10 Pro specifications and pricing; Samsung’s U.S. Galaxy S26 FE announcement.

The base configurations are not identical: Google lists 128GB as the Pixel’s entry storage, while Samsung lists 128GB for the FE, but their RAM differs. Google lists 16GB of RAM; Samsung lists 8GB. Samsung also lists a 256GB option, while Google lists 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB options in addition to 128GB. Samsung cautions that storage availability can vary by carrier or region. A fair price comparison should use the same storage capacity and current offers.

Which phone has the better display for you?

Choose the Pixel for a smaller, sharper screen

The Pixel’s 6.3-inch display makes it the more compact option of the two. Its listed 1280 × 2856 resolution is higher than the Samsung’s FHD+ panel, and its LTPO display supports an adaptive 1–120Hz refresh rate. That combination may suit readers who prefer a smaller phone and prioritize display resolution.

Choose the Samsung for more viewing area

The Galaxy S26 FE has a 6.7-inch panel, which gives more screen area for reading, video, and other content. Samsung lists a 60/120Hz refresh rate. Its larger size is a practical advantage if viewing area matters more than compactness; it is not evidence by itself of better display quality.

How do their cameras and zoom differ?

On paper, the Pixel has higher-resolution ultrawide and telephoto cameras: 48MP for each, versus Samsung’s 12MP ultrawide and 8MP 3× telephoto. Google lists a 5× optical telephoto and up to 100× Pro Res Zoom; Samsung lists a 3× optical telephoto and up to 30× digital zoom. The Pixel also has a 42MP autofocus front camera, compared with Samsung’s listed 12MP front camera.

Those specifications describe camera hardware and advertised zoom ranges, not comparative photo quality. Megapixel counts and maximum digital zoom do not establish which phone produces better images. The available comparison data does not provide matched camera testing for these two models, so treat a camera-quality winner as unproven.

Do the battery and charging figures identify a longer-lasting phone?

No. Samsung lists a 4,900mAh typical battery and Google lists 4,870mAh typical capacity, but those manufacturer figures are not a real-world battery-life comparison. A small difference in rated capacity does not show how long either phone lasts in the same conditions.

For charging, Samsung specifies 45W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. Its U.S. product page gives differing wired-charge percentages in its prose and specification table, so the table lists Samsung’s 65% figure only as a manufacturer claim under its stated conditions. Google says the Pixel can reach up to 55% in about 30 minutes using a separately sold 30W USB-C PPS adapter or higher; it supports Qi2 wireless charging up to 15W. These claims use different stated setups and should not be treated as a head-to-head charging test. Google’s built-in Pixelsnap magnetic support enables compatible magnetic accessories; check charging-protocol and accessory compatibility before purchasing a charger.

What software support and other features are listed?

Google announced seven years of Pixel Drops plus operating-system and security updates for the Pixel 10 Pro. Samsung states that the Galaxy S26 FE receives seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates. These are each manufacturer’s commitments; they do not establish identical release schedules, update timing, or feature availability between the phones.

Samsung lists the S26 FE as running Android 17 with One UI 9 and specifies IP68 protection under stated laboratory conditions. It lists the Exynos 2500 processor. Google’s launch announcement identifies Tensor G5 and Gemini Nano for the Pixel 10 Pro. These are manufacturer specifications, not evidence that one phone is faster in everyday use. Samsung’s U.S. announcement gives dimensions of 161.6 × 76.9 × 7.4 mm and a weight of 193 g.

Which one should you buy?

  • Choose the Pixel 10 Pro if you want the smaller 6.3-inch phone, a higher-resolution listed display, a 5× optical telephoto, more listed RAM or storage choices, or built-in Pixelsnap magnetic support—and the price works for your budget.
  • Choose the Galaxy S26 FE if you prefer a larger 6.7-inch screen, want the lower announced U.S. starting price, or find its 3× telephoto and listed configurations sufficient.
  • Compare live prices by storage capacity if price is decisive. The $299.01 gap is based only on manufacturer starting prices; it can change with retailer offers, storage selection, carrier terms, and region.

Samsung announced U.S. availability beginning September 3, 2026 through select carriers, with broader availability through Samsung.com, carriers, and retailers beginning September 4, 2026. Those are the dates in Samsung’s announcement, not a guarantee of current stock. Google’s launch announcement said the Pixel 10 Pro would be available at the Google Store and retail partners from August 28, 2025; that dated statement is not a current inventory check.

Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
