Yes, Petit Planet has multiplayer, but it is optional social multiplayer rather than a confirmed shared story campaign. The currently documented features are the Galactic Bazaar social hub and visits to other players’ planets. You can chat, play music, join a rhythm mini-game, trade, and manage whether friends can visit or interact with resources. A conventional co-op progression system, shared quest campaign, or mandatory team mode has not been confirmed.
Status: This summary reflects features documented during the 2026 Final Beta period. HoYoverse says the beta is limited-access and data-wipe, so menus, permissions, and feature availability can change before release.

What multiplayer means in Petit Planet
Petit Planet is designed first as a personal life-simulation retreat. Multiplayer sits on top of that private planet instead of replacing it with a permanently shared world. The two documented ways to play with other people are the Galactic Bazaar and optional planet visits.
Recommended Free Tools
The distinction matters if you are looking for “co-op.” You can be present with other players and perform activities together, but the available documentation does not establish a shared story campaign, synchronized quest progression, or a requirement to form a team to advance. Treat co-op as shorthand for social sessions and visits, not as proof of a traditional two-player campaign.

What you can do together in the Galactic Bazaar
Chat and socializing
The Bazaar is the main meeting place for synchronous interaction. You can meet other players, communicate, and spend time in a shared social space rather than opening your planet to visitors. Direct conversation is friendship-gated according to the current guide, so seeing someone in the hub does not automatically mean you can message them privately.
The café has its own visibility choice. It can be open publicly or restricted to friends. That gives you a way to join a lively room when you want spontaneous contact, while keeping a smaller gathering for people you already know.

Players can play instruments together in the Bazaar. The hub also contains a dance-battle rhythm activity: a structured mini-game with more rules and timing than free-form socializing. These are the clearest examples of “playing together” in the current build because participants are sharing the same activity rather than merely occupying the same area.
Trading and cosmetic rewards
The Bazaar supports item trading. Multiplayer activity can also earn rewards that are redeemable for cosmetics. The available material does not specify a universal exchange rate, item-by-item eligibility, or whether every reward remains available after the beta, so do not assume that a particular trade or cosmetic will carry into the launch version.

How the Bazaar differs from a private planet
A Bazaar session is a drop-in social encounter. A planet visit is controlled by an individual host and can involve that host’s resources. Use the Bazaar when you want conversation, music, rhythm play, or trading without opening your own home space; use a visit when you specifically want someone to see or interact with your planet.
How planet visits work
1. Decide whether your planet should be open
Before inviting anyone, use the planet’s privacy control to set it to private or to allow visitors. A private planet blocks visits, which is the appropriate setting when you are decorating alone, testing a build, or do not recognize the people requesting access.
2. Set resource permissions deliberately
Visitor access to resources is permission-controlled. Do not treat a visit as an automatic right to collect, move, or otherwise use everything on the map. Set resource interaction only when you trust the visitor and understand what the current build allows. If you want someone to look around but not affect your supplies, use the most restrictive resource setting available.
3. Confirm who is visiting
Use the game’s friendship and visibility choices to distinguish known friends from public traffic. The exact labels can change during testing, but the principle is stable: a public social area and an open planet expose you to a broader audience than a friends-only or private setting.
4. Check the visitor’s bag before they leave
The current multiplayer guide says the host can inspect a visitor’s bag before departure. This gives you a final opportunity to verify what the visitor is carrying. It is a safeguard, not a substitute for careful permissions: decide in advance whether resource interaction is appropriate and only invite people you trust.

- Sleek 7-in-1 USB-C Hub: Features an HDMI port, two USB-A 3.0 ports, and a USB-C data port, each providing 5Gbps transfer speeds. It also includes a USB-C PD input port for charging up to 100W and dual SD and TF card slots, all in a compact design.
- Flawless 4K@60Hz Video with HDMI: Delivers exceptional clarity and smoothness with its 4K@60Hz HDMI port, making it ideal for high-definition presentations and entertainment. (Note: Only the HDMI port supports video projection; the USB-C port is for data transfer only.)
- Double Up on Efficiency: The two USB-A 3.0 ports and a USB-C port support a fast 5Gbps data rate, significantly boosting your transfer speeds and improving productivity.
- Fast and Reliable 85W Charging: Offers high-capacity, speedy charging for laptops up to 85W, so you spend less time tethered to an outlet and more time being productive.
- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (7-in-1), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
5. Close the session when you are finished
When the visit is over, return the planet to private if you do not want additional visitors. A temporary open setting is safer than leaving an unrestricted planet available indefinitely, especially while the beta’s controls are still being revised.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesDoes Petit Planet have traditional co-op?
There is no cited confirmation of a conventional co-op story campaign. The documented multiplayer loop is social: meet in the Bazaar, perform activities together, trade, or visit someone’s planet. Nothing in the current sources confirms shared quest progress, a second player permanently joining your save, or a team requirement for core advancement.
That does not make multiplayer superficial. The rhythm game, music sessions, trading, and hosted visits can support planned play with friends. They simply have a different commitment level from a campaign in which two players complete the same objectives and advance one shared storyline.
Privacy and safety settings to use
Make the planet private when you need solitude
Set the planet to private before building, sorting items, or playing with strangers. This is the broadest protection because it prevents visits rather than trying to manage each visitor after arrival.
Treat café visibility separately
The café’s public-or-friends choice is separate from planet privacy. You can keep your planet closed while using the Bazaar socially, or restrict the café to friends when you do not want an open room. Check both settings instead of assuming one controls the other.

Limit resource interaction
Grant resource permissions only for a specific reason, such as letting a trusted friend gather materials. If the game offers separate read, use, or collection controls in your build, choose the narrowest option that supports the activity. The documented system confirms permission control, but not a permanent list of identical labels across beta versions.
Use the community rules and reporting tools
HoYoverse’s official notices include Community Guidelines covering chat, messages, visits, team activities, privacy, safety, and reporting. Read those rules before using public spaces. If another player harasses you, sends unwanted messages, or abuses visit permissions, use the in-game reporting process described by the current build and preserve relevant account or session details.
Be cautious with beta screenshots and menu names
The Final Beta is still in development. A setting shown in a test video may move, be renamed, or disappear. Follow the function—planet privacy, café audience, resource permissions, and reporting—rather than relying on a screenshot’s exact wording.

What the store privacy disclosures say
Storefront disclosures are summaries, not substitutes for HoYoverse’s full Privacy Policy. The Google Play developer disclosure, updated August 7, 2026, says the app does not share data with third parties, may collect personal and financial information among other data types, encrypts data in transit, and lets users request deletion. Apple’s listing warns that privacy practices may vary by feature and age.

Choosing the right multiplayer setting
- You want casual conversation: Use the Galactic Bazaar; restrict café access to friends if you do not want a public room.
- You want a structured activity: Join the dance-battle rhythm game or arrange a shared music session.
- You want to exchange items: Meet in the Bazaar and confirm what can be traded in your current build.
- You want to show your home: Allow a planet visit, but keep resource permissions limited until you trust the guest.
- You want uninterrupted solo play: Set the planet to private and avoid public café access.
- You expect campaign co-op: Do not buy or join the game assuming shared story progression; that feature is not documented.
Common problems and practical fixes
A friend cannot talk to you
Check whether the current build requires friendship for direct conversation and whether you are both in the same Bazaar activity. Being present in the same hub does not necessarily unlock private chat.
A visitor cannot use a resource
Review the planet’s resource permission. The host controls access, so the visitor may be correctly blocked rather than experiencing a connection error.
You do not want unexpected visitors
Change the planet to private and verify the café visibility separately. Closing one does not automatically close the other.
A beta guide does not match your menu
Check the build date and platform. Final Beta content is subject to change, and HoYoverse does not guarantee that test labels or settings represent the launch interface.
Bottom line for prospective players
Petit Planet is multiplayer in a social, opt-in sense. The Galactic Bazaar supplies chat, instruments, rhythm play, trading, and cosmetic rewards; planet visits let friends see your space under permissions you control. Privacy is strongest when you combine a private planet, friends-only café access, restricted resource interaction, and the game’s reporting tools. What remains unconfirmed is a traditional shared campaign or persistent co-op progression, so set expectations around social visits rather than a two-player adventure.
