That is not release order. Persona 5 Royal’s listed multi-platform release predates Revival, while Revival is scheduled for 2027.
Persona games in numbered-series order
- Persona 3
- Persona 4 Revival
- Persona 5
This is the simple numbered sequence relevant to Revival’s placement. ATLUS’s Persona Channel titles catalog lists the series entries and release information; it does not mean every version or spin-off belongs in one linear play order.

Numbered order is not release order
The dates below refer to the specific releases listed by Persona Channel, not necessarily each game’s first-ever release. In particular, Persona 5 Royal’s October 21, 2022 date is for its listed multi-platform edition, not its original release.
| Game | Numbered position | Release date and edition listed |
|---|---|---|
| Persona 3 Reload | Third | February 2, 2024; Persona Channel listing |
| Persona 4 Revival | Fourth | February 18, 2027; Nintendo Switch 2 release listed for May 20, 2027 |
| Persona 5 Royal | Fifth | October 21, 2022; listed multi-platform edition, not the original release |
So, if you mean “which game comes next by number?”, Revival follows Persona 3 and precedes Persona 5. If you mean “which one launched first?”, Persona 5 Royal’s listed edition came before Revival. The official catalog’s entries are at Persona Channel.

The later date announcement and official game site provide the current timing, including the separately dated Switch 2 version. Use those current listings rather than the original announcement when checking whether and when a version is available.
