Pebble Round 2 is finally being built: Core Devices says the first 200 complete watches reached its warehouse, and it has started asking customers to confirm orders. But the company’s December 2026 target for finishing preorder shipments is still a forecast, not a guaranteed delivery date. The delay has stemmed from quality problems with the stainless-steel case, and Core Devices warns that the schedule may slip again.
When will Pebble Round 2 ship?
In a September 30, 2026 update, Core Devices said the first 200 finished watches had arrived at its warehouse and that it was inviting customers to confirm their orders. It projected that a further batch of 1,000 would enter production after China’s October 1–7 holiday and ship at the end of October. Production on remaining orders was expected to start in early November, with shipments beginning in late November. Core Devices identifies the stainless-steel case as the bottleneck. The case requires CNC milling, polishing, and PVD coating, and the company says successive supplier sample rounds had cosmetic defects. In some rounds, it reports that only 15% of cases passed its incoming quality checks. That figure describes particular incoming sample rounds, not the overall production yield, and has not been independently verified.

The manufacturer says the display, battery, buttons, straps, testing, certifications, and software were ready while it waited for cases that met its standards. The first warehouse delivery is a meaningful production milestone, but it does not remove the risk of further schedule changes.
What kind of watch is Pebble Round 2?

These are the maker’s listed specifications, not independent test results. The official product page calls the screen color e-paper. Some coverage calls it a MiP display, but the cited official product information does not establish that terminology, so it is safer to describe it as e-paper.
How long does the battery last?
Core Devices estimates an average of eight days with the PebbleOS version described in its September update. The company says 10–14 days may be possible by disabling the touchscreen, choosing a watchface that refreshes less often, and turning off shake-to-backlight. These are manufacturer estimates tied to software and settings, not independently measured battery-test results. The September update explains the conditions; the store listing gives the broader 10–14-day estimate.

What can it do—and what is it not designed to do?
Core Devices reports 1,400 apps and watchfaces made specifically for Round 2, plus about 3,000 items originally made for Time Round that scale to its larger display. These are the company’s ecosystem counts. The watch’s stated health features are step and sleep tracking; it has no heart-rate sensor or GPS tracking. Core Devices itself points buyers who need full fitness and GPS tracking toward a dedicated sports watch. Round 2 should not be treated as a substitute for a GPS sports watch or a full-featured Apple Watch.
The maker describes the case coating as hardened and ceramic-like, but warns that the watch can still scratch, crack, or break. Its practical water guidance covers ordinary exposure such as rain, handwashing, and a brief dunk, while advising against hot water and prolonged submersion. The store’s “30m” water-resistance entry is labeled a target, not a confirmed rating; it is not a basis for assuming the watch is suitable for swimming or diving.

Which straps fit Pebble Round 2?
The watch comes with a silicone strap and magnetic charger. Strap width depends on configuration: the manufacturer specifies 14 mm or 20 mm quick-release straps. It says standard quick-release straps in the corresponding width will fit, so check your watch’s configuration and strap width before buying. Optional Pebble leather straps are available through the company’s own order and accessory flow.
