The launch covers select clients in specific jurisdictions in Asia and the Gulf region; it is not a generally available service for retail Kraken users.
What the partnership provides
Payward integrated SGB Net, Singapore Gulf Bank’s real-time, multi-currency clearing network. The bank’s announcement says institutional clients of both firms can settle transactions instantly, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The initial service supports US dollar transactions.

Singapore Gulf Bank describes itself as a fully licensed digital bank regulated by the Central Bank of Bahrain. The partnership announcement does not provide measured settlement-performance data, so “instantly” reflects the firms’ description rather than a published performance measure.
Who can use the service
The initial rollout is limited to a select number of clients and specific jurisdictions in Asia and the Gulf region. The announcement does not name eligible countries, institutions, or the number of launch clients. It therefore does not establish that any particular company or Kraken account holder can access the service.

For individual Kraken customers, this is not an announced retail deposit or payment feature. The stated service is for institutional clients of Payward and Singapore Gulf Bank.

- Fees and volumes: The announcement gives no pricing, transaction volume, or client-count figures.
- Operations: It does not detail integration requirements or risk controls.
- Performance: No measured settlement times or service-level figures are supplied.
The companies say they plan to expand client and currency coverage over time, but have not provided a timetable or named additional currencies.

Singapore Gulf Bank dates its announcement October 5, 2026, while Payward’s newsroom lists it as October 4, 2026. The available announcements do not explain the one-day discrepancy.
