The Payoneer India Cross-Border Excellence Awards 2026 ceremony took place in New Delhi on 25 September, with winners announced across 16 categories. The results span IT and AI services, e-commerce, D2C, global employment, export support and regional industries—not just technology companies. The Economic Times’ post-event account says winners received certificates and trophies; the awards’ terms specify a trophy and citation, media recognition and no monetary prize.
What the 2026 awards recognized
Organized by Payoneer India Commerce LLP in association with Times Internet Limited (The Economic Times), the program recognized businesses involved in cross-border trade, services and commerce. Its categories covered service exporters, online sellers, independent business enablers and regional export leaders.

The spread of winners illustrates that range: technology and service companies such as HIC Global Solutions and SalesCode.ai appeared alongside apparel, home textiles, wellness products, logistics, aerospace and steel businesses. That breadth is more useful to understand than treating the awards as a ranking of tech exporters alone.

How were the awards judged?
The post-event account describes five weighted evaluation dimensions. Growth and scale had the largest weight, while digital infrastructure and payments had the smallest.
| Evaluation dimension | Published weight | What it covered |
|---|---|---|
| Growth and scale | 40% | Year-over-year revenue and a two-to-three-year trajectory; billed foreign revenue was considered for service exporters. |
| Market reach and diversification | 30% | Geographies served, depth of penetration and international markets entered in the preceding two years. |
| Product or service uniqueness and innovation | 15% | The distinctiveness and innovation of the offering. |
| Employment and community impact | 10% | Contribution to jobs and community impact. |
| Digital infrastructure and payments | 5% | Digital infrastructure and payment capabilities. |
The awards’ current microsite adds category-specific detail: e-commerce cross-border GMV and regional growth relative to a sector baseline are among the measures, while retention, repeat rate and reliance on a single market help describe market depth. The microsite’s current schedule differs from earlier event materials, so its timeline should not be used to infer the historical nomination or jury dates.

What the results say about India’s export mix
The categories and placements point to a broad view of cross-border business. Service exports sit beside product sellers and D2C brands; the list also recognizes businesses that support international operations and companies leading exports from different regions. It therefore offers a snapshot of the kinds of businesses the program chose to recognize, not a complete census or ranking of India’s exporters.
Rank #3
Economic figures in the event coverage need to be read with their reporting source and year attached. The Economic Times feature reports $863 billion in total Indian exports in FY2026 and $421.3 billion in services exports in FY2026, describing the latter as above an earlier estimate of $418.3 billion. These are figures reported by the outlet, not independently verified government statistical releases in the source material available for this article.
For comparison, a June 2025 launch release distributed by PRNewswire and carried by Business Standard reported services exports of $387.6 billion for FY2025 and 13.6% year-over-year growth. That is a different financial year from the FY2026 figures and should not be conflated with them. The release and event feature also describe a government ambition of $2 trillion in exports by 2030–31; its current official status is not established here.
In that June 2026 launch release, Payoneer India Vice President and Country Manager Gaurav Shisodia said: “India’s cross-border economy is being shaped by a much wider base of businesses today, from IT services, SaaS and digital marketing firms to e-commerce sellers, D2C brands, regional exporters and women entrepreneurs.” The award categories broadly mirror that range, though an award program’s categories are not evidence by themselves of how large each segment is.
Eligibility, recognition and prize terms
The terms effective 1 March 2026 said participation was open to businesses duly registered and operating in India, as well as freelancers and entrepreneurs residing in India and engaged in cross-border trade, services or commerce. Employees and specified associates of the organizers, jurors and involved agencies were excluded; a separate nomination was required for each category.
Best Value
Under the award terms, winners received a trophy and citation at the ceremony and recognition through The Economic Times platform, including articles, press releases, social media and post-event coverage. The terms explicitly state there was no monetary prize. They also grant the organizers a broad license to use nominees’ submitted names, company names, logos, content and event media for award-related promotion.
