Pandora opened a new jewellery factory in Vietnam on 1 October 2026, while also expanding its lab-grown diamond collections in Spain and Italy. The company says the factory will add capacity and make its manufacturing network more resilient; its public statements do not establish that the plant will make lab-grown diamond jewellery or that it will drive growth in Asia.
What Pandora’s Vietnam factory is expected to do
Pandora says the opening ceremony on 1 October 2026 marked the crafting of the first Pandora jewellery piece in Vietnam. It describes the site as its first production facility outside Thailand. The opening announcement presents the investment as support for long-term growth, more manufacturing flexibility and a more diversified, resilient production footprint.

The facility is a broad manufacturing investment, not one publicly identified as a lab-grown diamond plant. Pandora says it will also play a role in future platinum-plated jewellery production. The company has not stated what share of the factory’s output will go to Asian markets.
Capacity and employment are future projections
Pandora put the investment at USD 150 million. It says the facility can produce up to 60 million pieces annually, increase its manufacturing capacity by 50%, and employ up to 7,000 people when fully operational. Those figures describe the planned full-capacity state, not output or headcount already achieved at opening.

Materials and energy commitments
Pandora says the facility will operate using 100% renewable electricity and 100% recycled silver and gold. These are company-stated operating commitments; the announcement does not amount to independent verification of performance over time. How Pandora is expanding its lab-grown diamond range
Pandora says its Pandora Infinite collection was its first lab-grown diamond collection, introduced in 2021. In June 2026, it announced that collections including Infinite and Era would be available in flagship stores in Barcelona and Milan. The launch announcement documents that expansion; it does not establish a connection between those collections and production at the Vietnam factory.
For shoppers considering a lab-grown diamond ring, a lab-grown stone is still a diamond, but it is made through a growth process rather than mined from the earth. Pandora presents its collections as offering beauty and accessibility. The material provided here contains no comparative price data, so it cannot establish how much less a Pandora lab-grown diamond costs than a mined diamond or another brand’s product.
What the reported Asia-Pacific growth figures show
Pandora reported FY2025 Asia-Pacific revenue of DKK 2,509 million and organic growth of 7%. In its Q2 2026 reporting, it recorded 10% like-for-like growth in the region. These are distinct measures from different reporting periods; neither, by itself, shows what caused regional growth.

The figures do not demonstrate that lab-grown diamonds or the Vietnam factory produced the growth. Pandora’s FY2025 results are available in its annual-results release; its Q2 2026 figures appear on the company’s investor page.

Pandora reported a footprint of 12.58 kg CO2e for one one-carat lab-grown diamond, which it said was around 90% lower than a mined diamond of the same size. The company defines the boundary as diamond production from the raw materials used to grow the stone through cutting and polishing. It is not a footprint for a finished ring, which also includes other materials, manufacturing, packaging and distribution.
