Panasonic’s archived description also refers to one-touch sensor cooking categories and sensor reheat. These feature descriptions do not establish how evenly or effectively it cooks in practice. Will it fit your kitchen?
Measure the installation space against the manufacturer’s external dimensions of 525 x 310 x 388 mm, then check the manual’s placement and ventilation instructions. CHOICE also publishes clearance guidance; do not assume the microwave can be fitted into a space that matches only its outer dimensions. Check the opening, surrounding surfaces and access to the door and controls before buying.

The 340 mm tray and internal dimensions help you judge whether your usual dishes may fit, but the stated 32 L capacity alone does not guarantee that a particular container will clear the turntable or cavity height. If buying second-hand, confirm that the glass tray and any required accessories are present and undamaged.

Is a discontinued NN-ST663W worth buying?
CHOICE and ProductReview.com.au both list the model as discontinued. Appliances Online retains a product page and manual link, but that does not confirm live inventory. Exact-model availability and price are therefore unverified; check the seller’s current stock, condition, return terms and warranty before committing. Do not treat CHOICE’s listed $279 as a current offer.

If it is a used unit, inspect the cavity and door seal, test the controls and listen for unusual fan noise during operation. Because public information does not establish reliability or defect prevalence, factor in the seller’s return policy and the availability of local service or replacement parts rather than assuming the owner reports apply to every unit.

Panasonic Australia lists the NN-ST66QB as a separate 32 L inverter microwave with a 340 mm turntable and external dimensions of 310 x 525 x 388 mm (H x W x D). It lists twenty auto menus and a Genius sensor among its features. Those similarities make it a sensible replacement-shopping lead, but they do not prove equivalent performance, price, accessories or fit in every installation. What to compare before choosing a replacement
- Usable capacity and internal cavity dimensions, not just the litre figure.
- Turntable diameter, external dimensions and required ventilation space.
- Microwave output and the number and type of power settings.
- Sensor cooking, reheating and defrost functions, plus control layout.
- Current price, warranty, service access and availability of parts.
- Independent comparative test results, where publicly available; a feature list alone is not evidence of better cooking performance.
