Pal Pods are late-game beds for Pals assigned to a base. They are not capture devices, inventory items, or consumable healing products. Once unlocked at technology tier 56, a Pal Pod gives base Pals a reachable place to sleep, recover SAN, and receive a listed HP-recovery bonus. Pals choose it automatically at night or when their SAN is low; you do not manually assign every sleep session.
Godlike.Host offers hosted Palworld servers with its own game panel, SFTP access and free DDoS protection, if you would rather not host it yourself.
The structure is expensive and its results depend on access. Place it inside the base area, keep routes clear, and provide enough beds for the active workforce. A blocked pod, a pod outside the base boundary, or too few beds can leave workers resting elsewhere or failing to rest properly.

A Pal Pod is a specialized bedding structure for base Pals. Its two practical jobs are resting and recovery: Pals can use it during their normal night routine, and they can seek it when their SAN is low. While resting, the pod restores SAN and supports HP recovery.
That makes the Pal Pod a base-management building rather than a direct player-healing tool. You do not throw it at an injured Pal, carry it in your party as a remedy, or activate it from a menu to force an instant heal. You build it in a base and let the assigned workers use it through the normal artificial-intelligence pathing system.

What advantages does a Pal Pod provide?
SAN recovery for steadier work
SAN is the most important day-to-day reason to upgrade a base’s beds. When workers sleep in a Pal Pod, their SAN recovers during the rest period. Keeping SAN from collapsing helps reduce the negative effects associated with poor mental condition and helps preserve a worker’s ability to continue productive tasks.
This is a recovery loop, not a replacement for every other form of base care. Food, workload, environmental conditions, and the number of jobs assigned to a Pal still affect its condition. The pod gives the Pal a better place to recover when it reaches its normal rest cycle or seeks help because its SAN is low.
Support for HP recovery
The Pal Pod lists a Heal Rate Bonus of 10.00. That value indicates improved HP-recovery support compared with a bed entry that lacks the same bonus, but it should not be read as a fixed number of hit points restored per second or as a guarantee that every injury disappears immediately. The actual result still depends on the Pal’s condition and the game’s recovery rules.
Automatic selection by base Pals
After the pod is built and accessible, assigned Pals select it automatically. The usual triggers are the night rest period and a need to recover SAN. You do not need to open each Pal’s assignment panel every evening or issue a separate sleep command.
Automatic use is convenient, but it also means that construction alone is not enough. The pod must be inside the base area, connected to a route the Pal can follow, and available when the Pal needs it. If any of those conditions fail, the Pal’s behavior may look as if the building is being ignored.

More reliable late-game bed capacity
A developed base can have many active workers. One bed that worked for a small early camp may become a bottleneck when several Pals need to rest at the same time. Building enough Pal Pods for the active population gives the workforce a clearer supply of sleeping places and reduces bed shortages.
Capacity planning matters even when a pod has strong recovery statistics. A high-quality bed that only one Pal can reach does not solve a shortage for the rest of the base.
When do you unlock Pal Pods?
The Pal Pod unlocks at technology tier 56 and costs 5 technology points. Tier 56 makes it a late-game technology. Early bases must use the bed structures available at their earlier technology tiers until the Pal Pod becomes available.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Before spending the five points, check that your base can realistically supply the materials. Unlocking the recipe does not create the ingredients, and a partially supplied late-game base may gain more from completing other essential infrastructure first.
Materials and construction workload
One Pal Pod requires:
- 10 Pal Metal Ingots
- 6 Cryogenic Coolant
- 3 Computers
The item listing gives the pod a 50,000 build workload. Workload is the amount of construction effort assigned to the project; completion time varies with the workers available, their relevant abilities, and whether the base can keep them on the building job.
Plan materials before you unlock
For a single pod, count the complete recipe before starting construction. If you intend to replace several older beds, multiply each ingredient by the number of pods you plan to place. For example, three pods require 30 Pal Metal Ingots, 18 Cryogenic Coolant, and 9 Computers. That multiplication is only a planning calculation; it does not alter the recipe for one pod.
Do not confuse unlocking with placement
The five technology points unlock the design. You still need to craft the structure, select a valid location, and let the construction workload finish. A pod that appears in the build menu but has not been completed cannot serve as a bed.

How to use a Pal Pod: step-by-step
- Reach technology tier 56. Open the Technology menu and unlock Pal Pod for 5 technology points.
- Prepare the ingredients. Gather 10 Pal Metal Ingots, 6 Cryogenic Coolant, and 3 Computers for each pod.
- Choose a base location. Select an indoor or sheltered living and resting area inside the active base boundary. Leave enough space around the pod for a Pal to approach it and leave it again.
- Build the structure. Place the Pal Pod from the construction menu and allow the 50,000 workload to be completed.
- Check the route. Walk the likely path from the work area to the pod. Remove walls, objects, elevation changes, or tight gaps that would prevent a Pal from reaching the bed.
- Provide enough beds. Count the Pals assigned to that base and add enough usable beds to avoid a simultaneous-rest shortage.
- Leave assignments automatic. Once the pod is complete and reachable, Pals use it at night or when their SAN is low. You do not need to assign individual sleep sessions.
- Observe the first rest cycle. Watch whether workers can enter, rest, and return to work. If they do not, use the troubleshooting checks below before moving the pod.
Where should you place a Pal Pod?
Keep it inside the base area
The pod must be within the base’s valid construction area. A visually nearby building can still be outside the boundary if the foundation, center point, or boundary line is positioned differently than it appears. If Pals ignore a pod that looks close to the rest of the base, rebuild or move it clearly inside the active area.
Use a living or resting area
Place the pod with the other sleeping facilities rather than behind production machinery or in a remote corner. Grouping beds makes it easier to inspect routes, count capacity, and identify a blocked entrance. It also reduces the chance that a Pal must cross a busy production layout to reach its bed.
Protect the approach and exit
Leave a clear approach in front of the pod and enough room for the Pal’s pathfinding behavior to turn. Decorative objects, storage, production stations, doors, narrow platforms, and uneven terrain can create an obstruction even when a player can squeeze through the same space.
Respect the Raid Boss Area restriction
Pal Pods cannot be built in a Raid Boss Area. This is a placement restriction, not a material shortage or a pathing bug. Select another legal base location instead of repeatedly trying to rotate the same blueprint.
Why are my Pals not using the Pal Pod?
Most failures come from access or capacity rather than from a missing manual command. Check the following in order.
1. The pod is not actually complete
Confirm that construction has finished. A blueprint, partly built frame, or paused project is not an operational bed. If the workload remains, assign suitable workers or wait until the construction job is completed.
2. The pod is outside the base boundary
Check the base-area indicator and the pod’s exact position. Move it well inside the boundary rather than placing it directly on the edge. A legal-looking location can fail if the structure’s footprint crosses outside the permitted area.

3. A route is blocked
Inspect the entire route from the Pal’s work location to the pod. Look for closed access points, stacked objects, walls, roofs, stairs, gaps, and furniture that leaves too little room. Temporarily remove the suspected obstruction or place a test bed in an open area. If the Pal uses the test bed, the original route is the problem.
4. The bed is unreachable from an elevated work area
Vertical layouts are especially prone to pathing failures. A player may be able to glide, jump, or climb between levels while a base Pal cannot. Add a continuous route, reduce unnecessary height changes, or move the pod to the same practical level as the work areas.
5. There are not enough beds
Count the active population, not just the number of Pals currently standing near the pod. If several workers need to sleep together and the base has fewer usable beds, some may wait, choose another bed, or appear to ignore the new structure. Add enough beds for the population you actually keep assigned.
6. The Pal has no immediate rest trigger
Pals do not need to use a bed continuously. A worker may stay at a task while its SAN is acceptable and only seek the pod at night or when its SAN falls. Observe the base over a full work-and-rest cycle before deciding that the pod is broken.

Count assigned workers first
Start with the number of Pals assigned to the base, including workers that are temporarily away from the sleeping area. Capacity should follow the population you intend to maintain, not the number present during a quick inspection.
Separate capacity from quality
A Pal Pod combines a listed Heal Rate Bonus of 10.00 with SAN-rest benefits, but one pod cannot substitute for enough sleeping places. First provide usable capacity; then improve the quality of the beds as materials and technology allow.

Allow for future expansion
If you are adding production lines or planning to assign more workers, reserve floor space for additional pods. A clear, repeatable bed layout makes later expansion easier than scattering individual beds among machines and storage.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsUnderstanding the Pal Pod’s listed numbers
The bed entry also lists Pals Sanity Gain impact 0.20 and an assigned-bed revive time of 05:33. These are useful reference values when comparing the pod’s entry with another bed in the same game version, but they require careful interpretation.
The SAN value is an impact statistic, not a statement that every Pal gains exactly 0.20 SAN per second or per sleep cycle. Likewise, the revive-time value should not be treated as a manual revive button or a universal recovery timer for every injury. The game can apply such values within broader systems, and later patches can change the numbers or their presentation.
For practical play, the reliable conclusions are simpler: the pod is intended to restore SAN during rest, it carries a listed HP-recovery bonus, and it is selected automatically when a reachable base Pal needs sleep or SAN recovery.
Pal Pod versus earlier beds: what can be compared safely?
The Pal Pod is clearly a late-game option, but a universal claim that it is the best bed in every situation requires current statistics for every alternative. Those complete side-by-side values are not established here. Use the following decision framework when comparing it with an earlier bed in your own version.
Recommended Free Tools
| Comparison factor | What is established for the Pal Pod | What to verify for another bed |
|---|---|---|
| Unlock tier | Technology tier 56 | The other bed’s technology tier in your current game version. |
| Technology cost | 5 points | The other bed’s point cost. |
| Materials | 10 Pal Metal Ingots, 6 Cryogenic Coolant, 3 Computers | Its full recipe and whether making several beds is affordable. |
| Footprint and pathing | Must be reachable inside the base area. | Whether its footprint, height, and approach are easier to route around. |
| SAN recovery | Restores SAN; listed SAN impact is 0.20. | Its current SAN statistic and how the game describes it. |
| HP recovery | Listed Heal Rate Bonus is 10.00. | Its listed healing or recovery effect. |
| Revive behavior | Assigned-bed revive time is listed as 05:33. | Whether the other bed lists a comparable value and what that label means. |
| Placement restrictions | Cannot be built in a Raid Boss Area. | Any area restrictions shown by the other bed’s build entry. |
In an early base, an available bed can be more useful than waiting for tier 56. In a mature base that can afford the ingredients and provide clear routes, the Pal Pod’s recovery-focused statistics make it a logical upgrade. The correct choice depends on access, population, and resources rather than on the word “late-game” alone.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting a consumable heal: the Pal Pod is a stationary base bed, not an item you use from an inventory.
- Trying to assign every sleep manually: Pals choose reachable beds automatically during night rest or low-SAN recovery.
- Building only one for a crowded base: bed quality does not remove a capacity shortage.
- Ignoring the route: a pod behind a door, machine, wall, or level change may be functionally unavailable.
- Placing it at the boundary: move it farther inside the base to avoid an invalid or ambiguous area position.
- Spending materials before checking the plan: each pod consumes 10 Pal Metal Ingots, 6 Cryogenic Coolant, and 3 Computers.
- Reading patch-sensitive statistics as permanent: the 10.00 Heal Rate Bonus, 0.20 SAN impact, and 05:33 revive-time listing may change in later updates.
- Attempting construction in a Raid Boss Area: that location is prohibited for Pal Pods.
A practical diagnostic routine
When a worker appears exhausted or keeps ignoring the pod, avoid deleting every bed at once. Use a controlled check:
- Confirm the Pal is assigned to the same base as the pod.
- Confirm the pod is complete and inside the base boundary.
- Remove one obvious obstruction near the entrance.
- Provide an additional bed if the active population is close to the current bed count.
- Watch the next night cycle or wait until the Pal’s SAN is low enough to trigger recovery behavior.
- If the Pal still cannot reach the pod, move one bed to an open, same-level location and observe whether pathing improves.
This sequence separates a construction problem from a navigation problem and a normal timing issue. It also avoids wasting late-game materials on repeated rebuilds before you know which condition failed.
