Hexolite Quartz (often shortened to “Hexo Quartz”) is a Feybreak-exclusive crystal. Mine its pale, rainbow-faded rocks, or unlock the Technology 62 Hexolite Quartz Mine and assign Mining-suitable Pals to produce it in your base. Hexolite is the alloy you craft from 5 Chromite, 12 Hexolite Quartz and 20 Ore in a suitable late-game furnace.

Hexolite Quartz, Hexolite and Chromite: the three materials
These names refer to separate resources, and confusing them is the most common cause of stalled crafting. Hexolite Quartz is the raw crystal. Chromite is a different Feybreak resource that has its own search methods. Hexolite is the finished alloy made by combining both materials with Ore.

The current item records cited by the Palworld Wiki describe the game as version 1.0 with patch 1.0.5 dated September 14, 2026. Recipes, unlock levels and structure behavior can change in later patches, so check your in-game Technology menu if a value differs.
Where to find Hexolite Quartz on Feybreak
Mine the pale, rainbow-faded rocks
Hexolite Quartz is found only on Feybreak. Its deposits are mostly white with a faded rainbow sheen, which distinguishes them from ordinary stone and ore nodes. Approach one of these quartz rocks and mine it with your equipped gathering tool. The resulting crystals go into your inventory as Hexolite Quartz.

- Travel to Feybreak and identify the mostly white rock with a muted, rainbow-like surface.
- Mine the node until it breaks and collect the dropped material.
- Continue across nearby Feybreak terrain, marking productive areas if you are preparing a large crafting session.
- Store the quartz in a base container before returning to combat or exploration so later alloy crafting does not consume your field inventory.
There is no current merchant listing for Hexolite Quartz in the shop tables cited by the item records, so buying it is not a dependable alternative to mining or production.
Expedition availability is version-sensitive
A current version 1.0 acquisition record also lists a Dark Cave of Feybreak expedition as a reward route. Treat that as an additional, patch-dependent source rather than a guaranteed replacement for mining: expedition tables can change independently of the resource’s normal world-spawn behavior.

How to automate Hexolite Quartz farming
Unlock requirements
The Hexolite Quartz Mine is a production structure unlocked at Technology 62 for 5 Ancient Technology points. It must be built inside a Palbox base and staffed by Pals with Mining suitability.

The 100-Quartz construction cost means the mine is a late-game investment. If you have not yet stockpiled that amount, continue manual mining while collecting the other building materials.

Placement and staffing procedure
- Open the Technology menu and spend 5 Ancient Technology points on the Hexolite Quartz Mine at Technology 62.
- Gather 70 Stone, 100 Hexolite Quartz and 10 Ancient Civilization Parts.
- Enter a Palbox base and place the mine where a worker can approach it without obstruction.
- Assign one or more Pals whose work suitability includes Mining. The mine will not produce automatically without an eligible worker.
- Keep the structure inside the base boundary and provide clear paths around it; cramped layouts can leave a worker unable to reach the production point.
- Return periodically to collect the produced quartz and move it to storage. The cited records do not establish a standardized hourly yield, so do not plan around an assumed number per hour.

Choose manual mining when you need a small amount now or have not reached Technology 62. Choose the mine when repeated alloy, ammunition or equipment crafting makes regular quartz trips the limiting step.
Automation troubleshooting
- No output: verify that the structure is inside a Palbox base and that at least one assigned Pal has Mining suitability.
- Pal stands idle: move the mine away from walls, foundations and other structures so its interaction point is reachable.
- Construction is blocked: check each requirement separately; the mine consumes 100 Hexolite Quartz in addition to Stone and Ancient Civilization Parts.
- Short supply despite a functioning mine: there is no published standardized hourly rate in the cited records. Add manual Feybreak runs instead of assuming a particular production speed.

- Collect Chromite, Hexolite Quartz and Ore in the quantities above.
- Operate the late-game furnace that lists Hexolite in its recipes.
- Select Hexolite, insert the ingredients and start production.
- Repeat the batch as needed; each completed craft consumes 5 Chromite, 12 Quartz and 20 Ore.
Plan material stockpiles before queuing batches
Multiplying the recipe gives a quick planning target. These totals are direct calculations from the one-alloy recipe:

Quartz is often the easiest ingredient to automate, but Chromite can become the limiting material because it requires a separate Feybreak search. Keep the three inventories balanced instead of producing large amounts of one ingredient and discovering that another is missing.

Where to find Chromite for the recipe
Chromite is not another name for Hexolite Quartz. The item record identifies it as a separate Feybreak resource found most commonly in Feybreak dungeons. Buried deposits and subterranean areas associated with Alpha Pals are useful targets.
Detection methods
- Metal Detector: use it to locate buried Chromite deposits while searching Feybreak.
- Smokie’s “Dig, Dog! Dig!” partner skill: activate the skill to help uncover buried resources.
- Dungeons: search Feybreak dungeon areas, where Chromite is reported most commonly.
- Subterranean Alpha Pal areas: inspect underground zones connected with Alpha encounters for additional deposits.
Because these routes are distinct from quartz-rock mining, schedule Chromite runs separately when an alloy queue stops on the first ingredient.
What Hexolite is used for
Hexolite is a late-game alloy that gates equipment, weapons, ammunition, mobility gear and advanced base structures. The complete recipe list in the current item record includes the following groups.
Armor and protection
- Hexolite Armor
- Hexolite Helmet
- Heat- and Cold-Resistant Hexolite Armor
- Advanced Shield
These are the natural priority when Feybreak exploration is limited by incoming damage or environmental temperature. Select the heat- or cold-resistant version according to the region you are preparing to enter.

Weapon choices should follow the ammunition and combat role you can sustain. A powerful weapon does not solve a resource bottleneck if its ammunition is also waiting on Hexolite.

Mobility items can be a better first investment for players still mapping Feybreak because faster traversal improves future resource runs. The Exotic Sphere and Silvegis Saddle belong in a capture or mount-focused progression plan.

- Large-Scale Electric Egg Incubator
Choose these when your base, medicine workflow, sphere production or breeding capacity is the bottleneck rather than personal combat power.
Ammunition
The current recipe list also includes several ammunition types. Because the records do not provide a separate ammunition-by-ammunition cost table here, check each recipe in your Technology menu before committing a large Hexolite stockpile.

1. Secure a first quartz reserve
Mine Feybreak’s pale, rainbow-faded quartz rocks manually. Save enough for both immediate crafting and, eventually, the 100 Quartz required to build the automated mine.
2. Unlock production at Technology 62
Once you have the level and 5 Ancient Technology points, build the Hexolite Quartz Mine in a Palbox base. Assign a Mining-suitable Pal and keep the structure accessible.
3. Run dedicated Chromite searches
Use Feybreak dungeons, a Metal Detector, Smokie’s “Dig, Dog! Dig!” skill and underground Alpha areas. Do not substitute additional Quartz runs for Chromite searches; the alloy requires both.
4. Match furnace queues to your actual inventory
Before starting a batch, count 5 Chromite, 12 Quartz and 20 Ore per Hexolite. If you are making ten, reserve 50 Chromite, 120 Quartz and 200 Ore rather than queuing blindly.
5. Spend the alloy against your current bottleneck
Pick protective armor and mobility for difficult exploration, weapons and ammunition for combat, or advanced workstations, storage and incubation for base progression. Hexolite is limited enough that a single priority is usually more effective than spreading small amounts across every unlocked recipe.
