Blazamut Ryu is a level-55, ten-minute, summoned raid. The reliable plan is to open with Water (or Ice) damage against its Fire/Dragon form, keep a second wave of Pals ready, then switch to Ground damage when the boss heals and enters its Electric phase. Craft the slab from four fragments, summon it at a prepared raid base, and treat the encounter as a strict damage race.

What Blazamut Ryu is and why the fight is difficult
Blazamut Ryu is not a roaming Pal that you can weaken and catch. It is a summoned raid boss with a ten-minute combat window. The standard encounter is level 55, and third-party databases place its health at roughly 512,600 to 512,680 HP. The small difference is a database discrepancy, not a separate difficulty setting. An Ultra listing gives approximately 1,025,360 HP, or about twice the standard pool. These figures are community database values rather than official Pocketpair statistics.

Blazamut Ryu begins as Fire/Dragon, making Water the most consistent opening counter; some guides also recommend Ice. Near the end, it performs a dangerous burst, heals, and changes to an Electric phase. The exact changeover is reported differently—as roughly 10 percent health in some guides and as the final point of health in others—so use the animation and health bar as your signal rather than waiting for a precise percentage. Ground damage is the important answer to the Electric phase.
| Encounter | Level | Listed health | Timer | Element sequence |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard Blazamut Ryu | 55 | About 512,600–512,680 HP (third-party figures) | 10 minutes | Fire/Dragon, then Electric after the late heal |
| Ultra Blazamut Ryu | Not stated in the supplied listings | About 1,025,360 HP (third-party figure) | 10 minutes | Same phase logic: Fire/Dragon, then Electric |
The Ultra listing does not merely require surviving longer. Its larger pool means your party must sustain substantially more damage per minute, and you will usually need more replacement Pals and a cleaner transition from Water or Ice to Ground.

How to summon the raid
1. Make the Blazamut Ryu Slab
Collect four Blazamut Ryu slab fragments and craft them into one Blazamut Ryu Slab. Do this before you start the raid timer; crafting, inventory management, or team changes during the ten-minute window consume time you need for damage.
2. Prepare a dedicated raid base
Use an open base with room for the boss, your character, and Pal pathing. Tight buildings, decorative objects, cliffs, and narrow doorways can make Pals take long routes or get stuck, costing attacks during the timed encounter. A simple, spacious arena is safer than a crowded production base.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3. Place the slab at an altar
Take the crafted slab to a raid altar in the prepared base and activate the summon. Confirm that your teams, ammunition, food, healing items, armor, and shields are ready before interacting with the altar. The ten-minute window begins with the summon, so do not use the altar as the point at which preparation starts.
4. Stage two Pal waves in the Palbox
Put your Water or Ice attackers in the first group and Ground-capable reserves in a second group. Keep additional replacements available. The Palbox is part of your raid plan: when a Pal is close to fainting, withdraw it and deploy a healthy replacement rather than waiting for a knockout and losing damage time.

Pre-raid checklist
- Slab: one Blazamut Ryu Slab crafted from four fragments.
- Arena: an open raid base with clear movement and attack lanes.
- Opening team: Water Pals, with Ice as an alternative where that is how your roster is built.
- Second team: Ground-oriented Pals ready in the Palbox for the Electric phase.
- Player supplies: enough ammunition, food, healing items, armor, and shields for a ten-minute fight.
- Replacement plan: spare Pals staged so a faint or endangered Pal can be rotated immediately.
- Positioning: a clear firing position that does not require a long run back to the boss after a knockback or defeat.
Team composition: build for the phase change
Opening wave: Water first
Water is the most consistently recommended opening damage type against the Fire/Dragon form. Azurobe is a commonly cited mounted option: you can contribute Water damage from the saddle while your deployed Pals attack. Jormuntide is another cited choice when you want a durable Water Pal on the field. The important feature is not a particular named lineup; it is maintaining reliable Water damage without leaving the boss idle while you recover.
Ice is also recommended by some guides and can work as your opening element if your strongest roster is Ice-focused. Do not mix an untested team simply to match a type chart: a well-leveled, durable Ice group that keeps attacking is more useful than fragile Water Pals that faint repeatedly.

Prepare Ground-capable Pals before summoning. The boss’s final form is Electric, so your Water attackers are no longer the team you want to leave exposed. Keep the Ground group in the Palbox or another immediately accessible reserve position and withdraw the opening group as soon as the heal and transformation begin.
Player damage and survivability
Your weapon damage matters because the raid is timed, but staying alive and firing consistently is more valuable than taking a risky close-range hit. Bring ammunition and healing supplies for the full window. Shields and armor give you more opportunities to keep attacking between telegraphed moves, while food prevents an avoidable interruption in the middle of a damage phase.

Phase-by-phase strategy
Phase 1: Fire/Dragon opening
- Summon and spread out. Give your Pals clear paths and avoid clustering against a wall or structure.
- Lead with Water. Deploy the opening Water group, or your prepared Ice alternative, and begin player attacks immediately.
- Watch the boss, not only the health bar. Move during telegraphed attacks, then resume firing as soon as the danger passes.
- Rotate early. If a Pal is heavily damaged or repeatedly trapped, return it through the Palbox before it faints. A live replacement preserves more damage than waiting for a knockout.
- Maintain uptime. Avoid long trips across the base, unnecessary inventory changes, or reviving one Pal while the rest of the team does no damage.
Azurobe lets a mounted player add Water damage while support Pals attack, and Jormuntide is often selected for durability. Regardless of the names in your party, the opening goal is steady pressure that leaves enough healthy Pals for the transformation.
Phase 2: The heal and Electric transformation
Near defeat, Blazamut Ryu emits a dangerous late-phase burst, heals, and changes to Electric behavior. Because the reported trigger differs between sources, do not plan around an exact 10 percent or 1 HP threshold. Watch for the animation and the visible recovery of the health bar.
- Stop committing the Water wave. Pull Water Pals before the Electric behavior overwhelms them.
- Deploy Ground reserves. Send out the Ground-oriented group immediately after the transformation.
- Reposition after the burst. The late attack can scatter your team; use the opening after it to restore a clean firing angle.
- Keep the player attacking. The heal effectively extends the damage race, so every safe shot during the second phase matters.
Phase 3: Closing the timer
The final stretch is a throughput check. Keep Ground Pals cycling from the Palbox, replace endangered units before they become knockouts, and continue player attacks whenever the arena is safe. If the boss survives the ten-minute window, the issue is usually not one missed type advantage but lost uptime: Pals stuck on terrain, long travel paths, late rotations, or a weak transition after the heal.
How to rotate Pals without losing the raid
Rotation is more important than trying to keep one six-Pal party on the field for the entire fight. A fainted Pal contributes no damage and can leave you waiting for recovery while the timer continues.

- Rotate at danger, not at zero. Recall a Pal when its health is low enough that the next boss attack is likely to remove it.
- Use the Palbox as two staged waves. Keep the first wave’s Water or Ice group together and the second wave’s Ground group together so the transformation does not require searching through a mixed roster.
- Replace like with like. During the opening, replace a damaged Water Pal with another opening-phase attacker. During the Electric phase, use Ground-capable replacements rather than sending a Water Pal back into danger.
- Protect pathing. If a Pal is standing behind a structure or taking a long route, recall and redeploy it in the open arena.
Standard versus Ultra: what changes
The elemental sequence and summon procedure remain the same, but Ultra’s listed health is approximately double the standard figure. That changes the practical requirements even when your strategy is otherwise identical.

| Planning factor | Standard | Ultra |
|---|---|---|
| Health pool | About 512,600–512,680 HP, depending on the third-party listing | About 1,025,360 HP in the cited listing |
| Damage per minute | High; a clean two-phase rotation is still required | Substantially higher; missed attacks and downtime are less forgiving |
| Replacement Pals | Keep a reserve wave available | Expect to rely on more replacements if your damage or durability is marginal |
| Gear and supplies | Bring a complete ten-minute loadout | Use your strongest available equipment and enough ammunition and healing for the longer effective damage race |
| Element transition | Water/Ice opening, then Ground | Same transition, but execute it more cleanly because the larger pool gives the boss more time to punish mistakes |
| Listed level | 55 | Not stated in the cited listings |
There is no separate Ultra shortcut: the same Water-or-Ice opening, Ground response, early rotation, and open-base setup apply. Upgrade the roster and damage output rather than changing the elemental plan.
Common failure points and fixes
The boss reaches the timer with health remaining
Measure where the run loses time. If the opening health bar barely moves, improve Water or Ice damage and keep the player firing. If progress is strong until the heal and then stalls, your Ground reserves or transition timing are the problem. If both phases look adequate but the boss still survives, reduce travel distance, clear the arena, and rotate before knockouts.
Water Pals collapse during the late phase
Do not leave them active after the transformation. The heal is your cue to withdraw the opening wave and deploy Ground-capable reserves. Waiting for an exact percentage can cost the entire second phase because the published trigger values conflict.

Pals get stuck or stop attacking
Move the encounter to a simpler, more open raid base. Remove obstacles that block pathing, avoid narrow rooms, and keep the boss away from dense production layouts. Recall and redeploy a Pal that is visibly taking a long route instead of letting the timer run while it searches for a path.
The player is knocked out repeatedly
Use armor, shields, food, and healing items, and attack between telegraphed boss moves. A safe firing position is preferable to standing directly under the boss for marginal extra damage. If you are spending the fight recovering, your Pals must compensate for lost player damage that the ten-minute limit may not allow.
The team runs out of Pals
Stage a larger reserve before summoning and rotate damaged Pals early. A reserve wave is not only for the transformation; it also covers an unexpected knockout, a pathing failure, or a burst attack that catches the first group together.
Rewards and capture rules
Blazamut Ryu cannot be captured during the raid. A successful slab raid awards an egg and raid materials; guides commonly report a Huge Dragon Egg, while the exact material and egg drop table can vary by game version. The raid index describes slab raids as rewarding an egg: Palworld raid index.
Because this is a timed boss encounter rather than a capture attempt, prepare your party around defeating it and collecting the rewards. Do not reserve inventory space or combat time for a capture throw that the encounter does not permit.
Quick Recap
A concise run plan
- Build or select an open raid base with clear Pal paths.
- Craft a Blazamut Ryu Slab from four fragments.
- Stock ammunition, food, healing items, armor, and shields.
- Stage Water or Ice attackers first and Ground-capable reserves second.
- Summon at the altar only after every preparation step is complete.
- Open with Water damage, using Ice if that is your stronger prepared option.
- Rotate endangered Pals through the Palbox before they faint.
- When the boss heals and changes to Electric, withdraw Water Pals and deploy Ground Pals.
- Keep the player firing safely and eliminate pathing or travel downtime.
- For Ultra, increase damage throughput and reserve depth rather than changing the phase strategy.
