To beat Bellanoir Libero, deal Dragon damage while it is Dark, then switch immediately to Fire Pals when the boss changes to Ice. The raid is summoned at a Summoning Altar, not encountered in the wild, and the altar is destroyed after one use. Bellanoir is a level-30, 294,000-HP fight; Bellanoir Libero is level 50 with 450,000 HP; and Bellanoir Libero Ultra has 900,000 HP and a 10-minute limit. A separate raid base, a spread-out level-50 roster and a prepared Fire phase team make the difference between a clear and a wasted slab.

Bellanoir, Bellanoir Libero and Ultra compared
The three raids share the same summon-and-defeat structure, but their time pressure and preparation requirements are very different. The HP values below are reported by Palworld Tools (2026) and the Ultra guide data from Palworld Companion; treat them as guide/database figures rather than official balance statements.

| Bellanoir Libero Ultra | 50 | 900,000 | The same Dark-to-Ice pattern, roughly twice Libero’s HP, with a 10-minute limit | Use a fully invested level-50 roster, spread formations and immediate phase swaps; it is a sustained-DPS and survival check. |
Standard Libero is also the practical progression gate: its clear can award the Ultra slab. Do not consume an Ultra slab until your team can maintain damage for the entire timer.
How to get a Bellanoir Libero slab
Every slab raid starts at a Summoning Altar. You craft the required slab from four Slab Fragments, insert it into the altar and activate the raid. The altar is single-use and is destroyed when the summon is completed, so build spare materials before attempting a difficult version.

Where Libero fragments come from
Reported sources for Bellanoir Libero fragments are high-level content: the level-40 Volcanic Cavern, the level-45 Sacred Mountain Cavern, Wildlife Sanctuaries and chests in endgame regions. Fragment drops are not guaranteed from every container, so collect more than the four needed for one slab if you are still developing your roster.
Summoning procedure
- Collect four fragments for the version you want to craft.
- Craft the Bellanoir Libero slab at the appropriate crafting station.
- Construct a Summoning Altar at a separate raid base, preferably on flat, durable ground.
- Put the slab into the altar only after your healing items, food, spare altar materials and both phase teams are ready.
- Activate the altar and fight inside the raid base. Keep replacement materials beside the Palbox for the next attempt.
The encounter is a summoned raid, not a normal capture fight. Spheres cannot catch Bellanoir during the battle. A successful clear awards an egg that hatches into the boss species instead.

A dedicated base protects your production base from a failed attempt and gives your Pals room to path around wide attacks. The raid guides specifically warn that walls are not a reliable defense because Bellanoir’s attacks can pierce them.
Recommended layout
- Choose open, flat terrain with enough space for several Pals to spread out.
- Place the Palbox centrally on a raised stone foundation. This gives defeated Pals a short return path and keeps the base anchor away from the arena edge.
- Put the altar near one edge, leaving a clear retreat lane behind you.
- Keep food, healing items, spare altar materials and replacement equipment in storage beside the Palbox.
- Remove unnecessary buildings, furniture and narrow corridors that can trap a Pal or block a recall.
For Ultra, assume every structure is only a convenience. Your real defenses are distance, line-of-sight breaks created by terrain and the ability to recall and redeploy quickly.
Bellanoir Libero weakness and phase mechanics
Dark phase: use Dragon damage
Bellanoir Libero begins as a Dark-type raid boss. Dragon attacks are the primary counter, so your first team should be built around high-level Dragon Pals or a mounted player whose attacks are converted to Dragon damage. The opening is a damage race: wide Dark beams, including the reported Nightmare Bloom attack, can hit several Pals at once. Keep your deployment points separated instead of stacking four attackers on the same side of the boss.
Ice phase: switch to Fire immediately
Near the end of the health bar, Bellanoir Libero changes from Dark to Ice. The reported transition occurs below roughly 10% HP for Ultra—about 90,000 HP on a 900,000-HP fight—and the standard fight shows the same late-stage pattern. The boss can release a radial Ice blast that freezes targets and can recover about one third of its health bar.
This answers the key question, “what changes in the Ice phase?” Your Dragon team loses its matchup advantage, freezing becomes a positioning threat and the heal can erase the progress of an unprepared group. Recall Dragon Pals as the animation begins and deploy Fire Pals at once. Do not wait for the health bar to fall further; the recovery can turn a near-clear into another full phase.
Ultra’s survival check
Ultra keeps the Dark-to-Ice transition but doubles Libero’s reported HP. The 10-minute limit leaves little room for repeated knockouts, menu delays or a late team swap. Spread Pals so a single beam cannot eliminate several attackers, keep one Fire team ready in the party order and use the final phase as a controlled burst rather than a scramble.

What Pals should I use?
The exact roster depends on breeding, passive skills and your available attack bonuses. The following choices are guide recommendations, not mandatory balance requirements.
| Job | Suggested Pals | When to use | Why they fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dragon phase damage | Jetragon, Chillet, Orserk, Eidolon Ignis and other strong Dragon attackers | Opening Dark phase | Dragon attacks provide the principal matchup advantage. |
| Mounted player conversion | Chillet | Opening phase | Chillet can convert the mounted player’s attacks to Dragon damage, adding weapon DPS without replacing a Pal slot. |
| Player-damage support | Four Gobfins with Vanguard and Stronghold Strategist | Especially useful in Ultra | The Ultra guide recommends stacking these passives to raise the player’s sustained damage and survivability. |
| Fire phase damage | Blazamut, Jormuntide Ignis, Dupin and other Fire-focused builds | Ice phase | Fire is the immediate counter after the type change; Dupin is specifically recommended for this phase in one guide. |
| Additional raid options | Orserk and Bellanoir Libero | Where your build supports them | Both are highlighted as viable raid choices, but their performance depends on investment and passives. |
Eidolon Ignis is highlighted for the first phase and Dupin for the second in Mobalytics’ recommendations. Use those as starting points, then substitute any equally invested Dragon or Fire Pals you already have.

For the player character, the database recommendation is Pal Metal Helm and Pal Metal Armor, a Hyper Shield, an Attack Pendant, a Pump-Action Shotgun for sustained fire and a Rocket Launcher for burst damage. These are suggested loadouts rather than official requirements; surviving long enough to keep shooting is more valuable than carrying a weapon you cannot replenish or aim safely.
During the Dark phase
- Mount Chillet if you are using its Dragon-damage conversion.
- Position at an angle that lets you see beam telegraphs and retreat without crossing the Palbox.
- Keep Dragon Pals on separate sides of the boss. Recall any Pal caught in a beam before it is downed.
- Use the shotgun for continuous damage and save rocket ammunition for a clear opening or the final burst.
At the type-change animation
- Stop sending Dragon Pals back into the arena.
- Recall the active Dragon team and deploy the Fire team immediately.
- Move away from the boss before the radial Ice blast resolves; do not group around a single Pal.
- Use your strongest burst attacks while the Fire matchup is active and interrupt your own reload only when the freeze telegraph requires movement.
Step-by-step plan for Bellanoir Libero
Before activation
- Confirm four fragments were converted into the correct Libero slab.
- Repair armor, shield and weapons; bring food and healing for a fight that can last several minutes.
- Put the Dragon team first and the Fire team immediately after it in an easy-to-reach party arrangement.
- Place spare altar materials next to the Palbox so a failed attempt does not require another endgame run before rebuilding.
Opening minutes
Activate the altar, spread your Pals and begin sustained Dragon damage. Avoid chasing the boss into a corner: open space is more valuable than a small positional gain. If several Pals are hit by the same Dark beam, recall the damaged group and redeploy from different positions rather than replacing them one at a time in the same danger zone.
Final segment
Watch the health bar and the transformation animation, not just the remaining percentage. As the Ice transition begins, recall Dragons, send in Fire Pals and reposition for the radial blast. Keep attacking through the recovery window; a reported heal of about one third of the bar means that hesitating after the swap is effectively another damage phase.

Ultra is not simply a larger health pool. The 900,000 reported HP and 10-minute limit make every knockout costly. Treat the fight as a sustained-DPS test with a final survival check.
Roster standard
- Use level-50 Pals with upgraded skills, suitable passives and equipment you can replace between attempts.
- Bring enough Dragon damage to clear the opening without exhausting your team before the transition.
- Have a complete Fire team ready before activation; do not rely on catching or breeding a replacement during the raid.
- Use Gobfin player-damage support if your build is centered on weapon attacks, and keep the player alive with a Hyper Shield and defensive armor.
Timing and formation
Spread Pals into several attack lanes. A wide beam that hits one Pal is manageable; one that kills four attackers is a run-ending loss of damage. Keep the player in a lane with room to dodge and use the Palbox only as a recovery anchor, not as a wall.
Save burst resources for moments when the boss is exposed, but do not hoard them so long that the timer expires. The target is consistent damage through the Dark phase, an immediate Fire swap near the final 10% and uninterrupted pressure while the boss attempts to recover.

Common failure modes and fixes
The altar was destroyed and the raid failed
This is expected behavior: the Summoning Altar is single-use. Rebuild it with another slab and four-fragment craft after restocking. Keeping spare materials at the raid base shortens the recovery loop.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsSeveral Pals die to one attack
Your formation is too compact. Recall the surviving Pals, redeploy them around the arena and avoid placing the entire party in front of the same beam path. Walls will not solve this because the reported attacks can pierce them.
The Ice phase heals back most of the damage
You either delayed the Fire swap or lacked enough Fire DPS. Stage the second team in advance, recall Dragons during the transformation and use your strongest Fire attackers immediately after the Ice type appears.
Ultra times out with the boss nearly defeated
Check for lost attack uptime rather than adding another defensive wall. Upgrade Dragon and Fire passives, keep the player shooting between dodges, spread the roster to prevent multi-Pal knockouts and reserve a burst window for the final phase.
The boss cannot be captured
That is not a bug. Bellanoir is not catchable with a sphere during the summoned fight. Finish the raid for the egg reward, then hatch the egg to obtain the boss species.

Rewards and what is reported
The database states that victory awards an egg, and a standard Bellanoir Libero clear can award the Ultra slab. The Ultra guide reports the following loot: Witch’s Crown (100%), Multiclimate Undershirt +2 (100%), two to three Ancient Civilization Cores and a Huge Dark Egg (100%). These percentages and item lists are guide data and can change with patches, so confirm the current in-game table after an update rather than treating them as permanent official guarantees.
The practical reward path is therefore: clear standard Libero to gain access to Ultra, use Ultra for its reported exclusive-style loot and hatch the Huge Dark Egg or other victory egg instead of expecting a capture prompt during combat.
Quick Recap
A concise pre-raid checklist
- Four correct fragments crafted into the intended slab.
- Separate flat raid base with a central Palbox and edge-positioned altar.
- Level-appropriate armor, shield, pendant, weapons, food and healing.
- Dragon team for Dark phase and fully prepared Fire team for Ice phase.
- Party formations spread far enough to prevent one beam from hitting everyone.
- Spare altar materials stored beside the Palbox.
- Ultra attempted only after a standard Libero clear and a roster capable of sustained 10-minute damage.
