Its core loop is to paint pictures, display them for buyers, sell them for in-game Cash, and use that Cash to grow your studio. Painting also earns Stars for later progression. Cash and Stars are game currencies and progression measures—not real-world earnings.
What is Paint to Get Rich?
Roblox describes the experience as a game where you build an art studio, fill a gallery, upgrade your operation, unlock artists and features, and discover new worlds. The listing’s invitation is to “Start with nothing and build your way up to a huge art empire!” The experience is attributed to Toasty Works. Roblox experience listing
The steps below reflect a third-party gameplay walkthrough rather than a verified, platform-by-platform control guide. Interface labels and requirements can change as the game is updated.
How do you get started?
- Start a painting. Choose a canvas and paint a picture. The walkthrough describes mouse input for painting, but that control should not be assumed to apply to every device.
- Put finished work on display. Place the completed painting on a display stand in your studio so buyers can view it.
- Respond to a buyer. Wait for a buyer to make an offer, negotiate, and sell when you are satisfied with the offer.
- Spend Cash on studio upgrades. The walkthrough says upgrades are purchased by stepping on green buttons in the studio. It reports that upgrades raise earnings and can unlock new worlds and places to paint.
- Keep painting for Stars. Paintings contribute Stars as well as sales income. Stars matter for later progression, so painting remains useful even as the studio expands.
Exact painting rewards, buyer offers, upgrade prices, and progression thresholds are not stated in the walkthrough; use the amounts shown in your current game.

How should you use Cash, Stars, and NPC painters?
Cash
Cash is the spending currency for studio upgrades. Early on, the practical loop is to sell displayed paintings and put the proceeds toward available upgrades. Since prices and rewards are not established here, compare the cost and benefit shown by each in-game upgrade rather than relying on a fixed order.
Stars
Stars come from painting and contribute to later progression. Do not focus only on sales: continue painting if you are working toward a progression requirement that uses Stars.

NPC painters
The walkthrough describes NPC painters as a way to earn income passively. Treat them as additional support for Cash, not as a replacement for painting—particularly if your next goal requires painting, Stars, or completed sales.
How does Prestige work?
The walkthrough describes Prestige as a reset that grants a permanent Cash multiplier. It says Prestige requires set amounts of Cash, completed sales, and Stars, but does not provide the thresholds. Check the live Prestige menu for the exact requirements before you reset; do not assume that reaching one target alone is enough.
