Industries, IT and Artificial Intelligence Minister P.K. Kunhalikutty visited the Sandbox Mini Tech Park construction site at Government Cyberpark in Kozhikode, according to a Mirror Now report updated October 6, 2026. The report describes the visit as an inspection of construction progress, but does not state the exact date or how far construction has advanced.
What is the Sandbox Mini Tech Park?
Kerala IT describes Sandbox Mini Tech Park as the first private co-developer project at Government Cyberpark. Kerala State IT Infrastructure Limited (KITFRA) handed the land over to the Sandbox team, according to the state’s March 9, 2026 project commencement release.

The planned development is a Grade A technology workspace intended for technology companies, global enterprises, startups and global capability centres. Its announced design includes coworking space, a café-cum-lounge, breakout areas, phone booth pods, founder-mentor cabins and a small incubation bay. These are proposed features; the release does not say they are completed or open.
How large is the project?
The published area figures do not match. Kerala IT’s March 9, 2026 release describes a project of approximately 30,000 square feet, while Mirror Now’s October 6, 2026 report gives 42,000 square feet. Neither report explains the difference, so the project’s final area cannot be stated confidently from these accounts.
