Overwatch Season 5 rewards are spread across the Battle Pass, Mystery Madness challenges and weekly Event Passes, Unvaulted Passes, the Shadow Monarch collaboration, and Twitch Drops. Use the route that matches the reward you want: some require playing, some require watching and claiming a Twitch Drop, and bundle contents require a purchase. Blizzard’s October 6, 2026 announcements do not list every challenge objective or reward tier, so check the live in-game screens for those details.

Blizzard’s Season 5 announcement and October 6 launch patch notes describe the routes and several named rewards. For current challenge progress, shop listings, and event availability, the live game screens are the practical source of truth; the launch patch notes say they will not be updated.

Earn the current Battle Pass rewards
Blizzard says the Season 5 Battle Pass tracks include five Legendary skins, three Epic skins, additional cosmetics and currencies, and up to 80 Mythic Prisms. The named skins are:
- Legendary: Ghostly Belle Ashe, Jack O’ Ripper Soldier: 76, Ghost Bride Mei, Bat Empress Junker Queen, and Autumn Fox Zenyatta.
- Epic: Skelly Bastion, Witching Hour Brigitte, and Spectral Shroud Symmetra.
The announcement does not specify the individual tier for each skin, so use the in-game pass to find its exact placement rather than relying on an assumed tier number.

Choose a Legendary skin with the Swap Pool
The revamped Swap Pool lets players choose which eligible Legendary Battle Pass skin to pursue first. Blizzard names returning choices including Witch Kiriko, Streetwear Hazard, Magma Sombra, and Evening Wear Tracer, among others; that is not a complete list. Check the current Swap Pool in the pass for all eligible options.
Know what is in the optional bundles
The Ultimate Battle Pass bundle is announced with the Crimson Regent Doctrine and Ghost Voyager Venture Legendary skins, 20 Battle Pass Tier Skips, and 2,000 Overwatch Coins. The Starter Pack is announced with the Haunted Emre skin and 1,000 Overwatch Coins. These are bundle contents, not rewards established as unlockable through ordinary pass progression. Blizzard’s announcement does not state regional prices or platform availability; check the in-game shop listing in your region.
Earn Offerings and rewards in Mystery Madness
Mystery Madness: Graveyard Games runs October 6 through November 2, 2026, according to Blizzard’s Season 5 announcement. The mode uses 5v5 Open Queue with a guaranteed 1-2-2 role composition and best-of-three Control. Players start with a random role and three hero choices, gain powers as they level, and select powers on death or at a round transition.

Complete challenges, then pledge Offerings
- Open the live Challenges or Event Pass screens in Overwatch and follow the objectives displayed there.
- Earn Offerings through Mystery Madness challenges. Blizzard says challenges award rewards as well as Offerings.
- Direct available Offerings to one of the listed heroes: Ashe, Moira, or Winston. Each pledge grants Battle Pass XP and advances the chosen hero toward being summoned.
- Check the weekly Event Pass for its current progress and end-of-week milestone.
The official announcement and patch notes do not enumerate every challenge requirement, named reward, or weekly milestone item. They also do not establish a universal match count or threshold, so follow the objectives and progress shown in your game rather than an unofficial checklist.
Progress an Unvaulted Pass alongside the current pass
Unvaulted Passes let players work on eligible earlier-season rewards. Blizzard says Legacy Seasons 1–15 passes are available for purchase in the shop under the Unvaulted Battle Pass tab, though some locked passes may arrive in a later season.
- From the home screen, go to Battle Passes > Legacy Pass.
- Acquire an eligible pass if you do not already own it, then select and activate it from the Legacy Pass menu. Match XP does not count toward a pass until it is active.
- Play matches to progress it. One Unvaulted Pass can be active at a time, but it can progress alongside the current season pass.
Previously earned progress carries over. Blizzard says an acquired Unvaulted Pass remains permanently available on the account, and a completed active pass rolls over to the next available one unless you choose another. The returning reward pool is not necessarily the complete original pass: the patch notes exclude Mythic skins, Mythic Prisms, Overwatch Coins, XP boosts, and player titles, while the announcement also excludes Prestige Titles and Mythic Hero and Weapon Skins.

Unlock the Shadow Monarch collaboration rewards
Blizzard gives the Overwatch x Shadow Monarch collaboration quest window as October 6–19, 2026. The announcement names these pairings:
- Genji × Sung Jinwoo
- Reaper × Igris
- Anran × Cha Hae-In
- Reinhardt × Iron
- Lifeweaver × Choi Jong-In
The announcement says players enter the collaboration and level up, but does not provide a complete list of quest objectives or milestone rewards. Open the live collaboration screen to see what is currently required and which rewards each milestone grants.

- Link your Battle.net and Twitch accounts.
- Watch streams in the Overwatch Twitch category using a PC or Mac web browser, or the Twitch Android or iOS app. Twitch console and TV apps do not support earning and claiming these Drops.
- Claim each earned Drop on Twitch. The Lootbox rewards are named, but the post does not establish their contents for this campaign.
The campaign post lists North America, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand as participating regions. It says a hero need not be unlocked to receive that hero’s Drop, but the cosmetic cannot be accessed until the hero is unlocked. An earned Drop expires seven days after claim if no Battle.net account is linked, and Drops must be claimed within 24 hours after the promotion ends.
There is a date conflict in Blizzard’s post: its opening says the campaign runs from October 6 at 11 a.m. PT to November 2 at 11:59 p.m. PT, while its FAQ gives October 16 as the start date. Check the live Twitch Drops campaign listing for the active window instead of assuming either start date.

What to verify in the live game
- Exact Battle Pass tier placements and all currently eligible Swap Pool skins.
- Current shop availability and regional pricing for optional bundles or Unvaulted Passes.
- Individual Mystery Madness challenge objectives, Event Pass milestone contents, and collaboration quest rewards.
- Current event availability and Twitch Drops campaign status, which can change after Blizzard’s October 6, 2026 posts.
