The available information also does not verify a month-long personal trial or its results.
What Orion’s smart mattress cover does
The system pairs a thin cover with a Control Tower that circulates water to heat or cool the sleep surface. Orion describes app controls, schedules, independent temperature settings for each side, and optional sleep insights. An independent Sleep Foundation review also describes the water-based heating and cooling mechanism, including rapid cooling, but that description is not evidence that the product prevents waking or treats a health condition.

Overheating is not always the same as night sweats
A warm room, heavy bedding, or a bed that feels too hot can cause ordinary sweating during sleep. The NHS uses “night sweats” for episodes of sweating enough to soak sleepwear or bedding despite a cool sleeping environment. A temperature-control cover may address feeling too warm in bed, but it cannot diagnose or treat the causes of recurring soaking sweats.

Check fit and setup before ordering
Orion’s official pages list Queen, King, and California King sizes. They describe compatibility with slatted or platform frames, require a nearby standard power outlet, and specify spot cleaning rather than machine washing. The listed mattress-depth limit differs between the pages: one says 10–16 inches, while the home page says up to 18 inches. Confirm the current order-page specification against your mattress before buying.

How to decide whether it fits your problem
- Consider the temperature-control use case: you regularly feel too warm in bed and want adjustable heating or cooling, potentially with different settings on each side.
- Do not treat it as a medical remedy: recurring soaking sweats in a cool room need medical attention when they meet the NHS guidance, regardless of bedding adjustments.
- Weigh the cost against the likely cause: if the issue may be an overheated room or bedding, lower-cost changes such as lighter or more breathable sheets may be a more proportionate first step.
