For India, OriginOS 7 is scheduled to roll out to eligible vivo phones in stages from the end of October 2026 through the end of February 2027. The first reported wave includes the vivo X Fold 5, X300 Ultra, X300 Pro, X300 and X300 FE. These are rollout windows, not guaranteed update dates for every owner. The mainland-China schedule is different and should not be used to date India updates.

NDTV Profit’s October 6, 2026 report, corroborated by Gadgets 360, lists these India rollout windows. The schedule gives approximate stages; vivo has not promised that all units of a model will receive an over-the-air update on the same day.

vivo’s official mainland-China OriginOS page starts its schedule on October 9, 2026, and includes a different, larger set of devices, including iQOO phones. It is not the India rollout list: do not use its dates or model coverage to infer when an India-market phone will update.

If your exact India-market model appears in the first table, it is included in the reported India plan. If it does not, the reports cited here do not establish its eligibility. Verify the model number and region in vivo’s current local support information rather than relying on a similar model name or a China-market list.

OriginOS 7 is described in the India rollout reports as Android 17-based. vivo introduced it globally on September 21, 2026. The company promotes features including Jovi assistant functions, cross-ecosystem connections, AI Search and Snap & Go, but those product descriptions do not establish that every feature will be available on every listed phone or in every market. vivo says feature availability can vary by device, software version and market. What to expect when the update arrives
- A listed window identifies a rollout stage, not a specific day for each device. Availability may be staggered.
- Use the exact model and local-market variant when checking eligibility; an imported or carrier-specific version may differ.
- Check vivo’s current local update or support information for confirmation before assuming an update is available.
Reports also differ on whether certain newly launched India-market devices—the X Fold 6, V80 and S2 FE—already shipped with OriginOS 7. The specifications displayed alongside Gadgets 360’s report do not align uniformly with NDTV Profit’s account. That discrepancy does not change the listed update schedule; check the software version on the device or vivo’s current local information for those new models.
