The OPPO Reno16 5G is the better fit for camera flexibility, sharper display detail and 4K/60fps rear video; the Reno16c 5G costs less, has a larger battery and supports expandable storage. In OPPO India’s dated price listings, the gap is ₹13,000 for matching 256GB configurations, while the entry-price gap is ₹17,000 because the Reno16 starts at 256GB and the Reno16c at 128GB. This comparison covers India models CPH2865 and CPH2859; specifications and prices can differ by country.
What is the India price difference?
OPPO’s India product pages list the following prices on different dates. These are dated manufacturer listings, not guaranteed live prices; OPPO says prices may change, so check the current OPPO Store listing before buying.

| Reno16c 5G, 12GB + 256GB | ₹59,999 | 9 September 2026 |
The entry-price difference is ₹17,000, but that compares 256GB on the Reno16 with 128GB on the Reno16c. For like-for-like storage, both 8GB + 256GB models differ by ₹13,000; the 12GB + 256GB pair also differs by ₹13,000. The listing dates differ, so these calculations compare OPPO’s respective dated snapshots, not necessarily prices available on the same day. What do the differences mean in everyday use?
Display: finer detail versus a larger screen
The Reno16 has more pixels in a smaller 16.05cm panel, so its listed pixel density is higher at 460 PPI versus 397 PPI. OPPO also lists a higher peak High Brightness Mode figure for the Reno16: 1800 nits compared with 1400 nits. The Reno16c’s panel is physically larger at 16.69cm, while both displays are AMOLED and list a 120Hz refresh rate. These are manufacturer figures; brightness and perceived sharpness can depend on settings and conditions.

Both phones list a 50MP telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom. The Reno16’s ultra-wide is 50MP, compared with 8MP on the Reno16c, and its listed rear-video mode reaches 4K at 60fps rather than 4K at 30fps. Those specifications make the Reno16 the more flexible option on paper for ultra-wide capture and smoother 4K recording; they are not a substitute for independent photo or video testing.

Memory, storage and expansion
OPPO lists LPDDR5X memory for Reno16 and LPDDR4X for Reno16c. That difference is a specification, not proof of a particular everyday speed advantage. The Reno16 is listed only with 256GB storage options; the Reno16c adds a 128GB entry configuration and supports a storage card. That expansion can matter if you want to add storage rather than pay for a higher built-in capacity.
Battery and charging
The Reno16c has a listed 7000mAh battery, 300mAh more capacity than the Reno16’s 6700mAh. Both list 80W SUPERVOOC charging. Capacity is not an endurance test: screen use, connectivity, software and other conditions affect how long either phone lasts in practice.

Weight and infrared
OPPO’s listed weight ranges put the Reno16c at about 195g–197g and Reno16 at about 182g–193g. The Reno16 also lists an infrared remote feature; the Reno16c does not. Check the exact local configuration and product details if either characteristic is decisive.

Which one should you buy?
Choose the Reno16 if these matter most
- A 50MP ultra-wide camera and 4K/60fps rear video are higher priorities.
- You prefer a higher-resolution, higher listed-brightness display over a larger panel.
- You want LPDDR5X memory or an infrared remote.
Choose the Reno16c if these matter most
- You want the lower listed price, especially if 128GB storage is sufficient.
- You value its larger listed battery capacity or expandable storage.
- You prefer a larger display and can accept the lower-resolution panel and 8MP ultra-wide specification.
For a fair price decision, compare the same RAM and storage tier and confirm the price on the purchase date. Verify the model number—CPH2865 for Reno16 and CPH2859 for Reno16c—because OPPO warns that Reno16 series specifications vary by country.
