The Global OPPO Reno16 Pro 5G has a newer chipset, a 144Hz maximum refresh rate in some game scenarios and a larger listed battery than the Global Reno15 Pro 5G. Their headline rear-camera resolutions and maximum wired charging rate are the same. A reliable price difference cannot be given without a market: OPPO says pricing and availability vary by region, and the India lineup announcement cited here does not include a Reno16 Pro.

Chipset and refresh rate
The Reno16 Pro moves from the Reno15 Pro’s Dimensity 8450 to the Dimensity 8550 SUPER. Its display specification also raises the listed maximum refresh rate from 120Hz to 144Hz, but OPPO limits 144Hz operation to some game scenarios. These are specification changes, not proof of a particular performance or smoothness advantage in everyday use; no independent comparative benchmark is established here.

Battery capacity and charging
The Global Reno16 Pro lists a 6,700mAh typical battery, compared with 6,200mAh typical for the Global Reno15 Pro. The rated capacities are 6,490mAh and 6,035mAh respectively. A larger capacity does not by itself establish longer battery life; usage, software, network conditions and testing method matter. Both list up to 80W SUPERVOOC wired charging, while the Reno16 Pro specification also lists 80W UFCS.
Cameras
The Global specification pages give both phones the same rear-camera resolution layout: 200MP wide, 50MP telephoto and 50MP ultrawide, with the same listed two-axis optical image stabilization on the wide and telephoto cameras. Each also lists a 50MP front camera. Resolution and stabilization specifications do not establish which phone takes better photos; no independent head-to-head camera test is available here.

What is known for India?
OPPO India announced Reno15 Pro launch prices on 8 January 2026: INR 67,999 for 12GB+256GB and INR 72,999 for 12GB+512GB. These are launch prices, not a statement of current transaction prices. OPPO India named Amazon, Flipkart, mainline retail outlets and OPPO E-store as purchase channels. Its Reno16 series announcement names Reno16 and Reno16c, not Reno16 Pro, so the standard Reno16 price is not a valid substitute for a Reno16 Pro price. No India Pro-to-Pro price difference is established by these announcements.

Check your regional model before buying
The Global Reno15 Pro is model CPH2813, while the India Reno15 Pro is CPH2811. OPPO’s India specification page lists differences in dimensions, display and battery from the Global variant, so Global figures should not be treated as universal. For example, consult the India Reno15 Pro specifications for CPH2811 rather than assuming the Global table applies. The Global Reno16 Pro page also lists multiple cellular-band versions, and OPPO notes some capacity and charging specifications vary by market.
