OPPO Reno15 C vs vivo S2 5G: Compare Specs, Price and Trade-offs

The OPPO Reno15 C has firmer published specifications: OPPO says it has a 6.57-inch AMOLED display, a 7,000mAh battery and 80W charging. The vivo S2 5G is listed with a larger display and different hardware by a comparison site, but those details—and its current price—are less firmly established. There is no reliable basis here for naming one phone the overall winner or stating a definitive price difference.

Price and availability: check the exact variant before comparing

OPPO India announced on 4 February 2026 that Reno15 C sales would start the following day through Amazon, Flipkart, mainline retail outlets and OPPO’s e-store. That announcement establishes the planned launch channels, not current inventory or today’s checkout price. OPPO’s launch announcement does not confirm present stock.

Available price references are inconsistent. A 91mobiles comparison surfaced the Reno15 C at about ₹40,999 with an out-of-stock label in one version, and the vivo S2 5G at approximately ₹39,990–₹39,999 in surfaced versions. These are comparison-page snapshots accessed on 7 October 2026, not verified live offers. The comparison listing does not establish a dependable price gap.

A 4 September 2026 post by vivo Community user Anant Rawat gives the S2 5G prices as ₹39,999 for 8GB+128GB and ₹44,999 for 8GB+256GB. Those are user-posted figures, not an official vivo price announcement or confirmed current retail prices. The Community post also identifies both storage configurations.

For a fair purchase comparison, check each phone’s exact RAM and storage configuration, seller, stock status and final checkout price on the same day. A listing for one storage tier should not be compared with a different tier as though it were the same offer.

What is established about each phone?

Specification OPPO Reno15 C vivo S2 5G
Display 6.57-inch AMOLED, according to OPPO’s India announcement. 6.83-inch AMOLED, 1260 × 2800 resolution and 120Hz, according to 91mobiles; not confirmed by a formal vivo specification page in the sources available here.

Storage configurations surfaced 256GB listed by 91mobiles; other configurations are not established by the sources cited here. 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB identified in the vivo Community user post; 91mobiles’ displayed comparison lists 128GB.
Software ColorOS 16, according to OPPO. Not stated in the cited comparison or Community post.

For the Reno15 C, the display, battery, charging and software details above come from OPPO India’s 4 February 2026 announcement. Most of the side-by-side specifications come from 91mobiles’ comparison; its vivo figures should be treated as secondary-source listings rather than independently confirmed manufacturer specifications.

Which display suits your priorities?

On the listed sizes, the vivo’s 6.83-inch screen is larger than the Reno15 C’s 6.57-inch AMOLED display. 91mobiles also lists the vivo at 1260 × 2800 and 120Hz, but those vivo details lack confirmation from a formal vivo specification page among the sources cited here. A larger screen may be preferable for viewing more content, while the Reno15 C’s officially announced size is the more securely documented claim. Display size alone does not establish brightness, color accuracy or outdoor readability.

Performance: specifications are not a speed test

91mobiles lists a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 for the Reno15 C and a MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Turbo for the S2 5G. These chipset names identify different platforms, but the cited sources provide no verified benchmark results or controlled comparison. They therefore do not prove which phone is faster in games, everyday apps or sustained workloads.

For a performance-sensitive purchase, look for tests of the exact India variants, including sustained performance and thermal behavior. Do not treat a chipset name or a single benchmark figure from a different phone as a complete verdict.

Cameras: megapixel counts do not settle image quality

The 91mobiles listing gives the Reno15 C a 50MP + 8MP + 2MP rear camera setup and a 50MP front camera, versus a 50MP + 2MP rear setup and 32MP front camera for the vivo. These are configuration claims, not evidence that one phone takes better photos.

Sensor identity, optical image stabilization, lens roles, image processing and video capabilities can matter more than the headline megapixel count. Those details are not established by the cited comparison, so choose for photography only after checking the exact regional variant’s camera specifications and independent sample images or tests.

Battery and charging: OPPO’s figures are official; vivo’s are reported

OPPO says the Reno15 C has a 7,000mAh battery and 80W SUPERVOOC charging. The vivo is listed with a 7,050mAh battery and 44W charging by 91mobiles; the same battery and charging figures appear in Anant Rawat’s vivo Community post. The vivo numbers have less authoritative support in the sources cited here.

Screen settings, network conditions, software and workload affect battery life; charging speed also depends on the phone, compatible charger and charging conditions. Which one should you choose?

  • Consider the Reno15 C if you want specifications backed by OPPO’s announcement, particularly its 6.57-inch AMOLED display, 7,000mAh battery, 80W SUPERVOOC charging and ColorOS 16.
  • Consider the vivo S2 5G if the larger 6.83-inch display or a particular 8GB+128GB or 8GB+256GB configuration appeals to you—but confirm those specifications, current price and stock with an official or authorized seller before buying.
  • For gaming, photography or value, wait for evidence that matches the exact India variants: controlled performance tests, camera samples, and a same-day comparison of equivalent storage tiers. The listed specifications alone do not establish a winner.

How to verify a listing before checkout

  1. Confirm the full model name and RAM/storage configuration in the product listing; do not rely on a comparison page’s default variant.
  2. Check that the seller, warranty terms and delivery location apply to your purchase, then verify whether the item is actually in stock.
  3. Compare the final checkout price for equivalent configurations on the same date, including any conditions attached to discounts or payment offers.
  4. For the vivo, verify the specifications against a formal product page or seller documentation. vivo’s security-update page includes “S2, S2 5G” in its device ecosystem, but it is not a specification sheet.

Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
