Neither specification sheet establishes an overall winner, and a fair price comparison requires checking the same storage configuration at current India retailers.

Which phone has the better display?
The Redmi has the larger screen: 6.83 inches versus 6.57 inches for the Reno15c. Xiaomi specifies a 1.5K panel at 2772 × 1280 and 120Hz, while OPPO describes the Reno15c as FHD+ AMOLED. That makes the Redmi the clearer specification-sheet choice if you want more screen area and resolution. The available figures do not establish comparative brightness, colour accuracy or outdoor visibility.

Selfies and wide-angle shots
The Reno15c’s headline camera difference is its 50MP ultra-wide selfie camera; the Redmi lists a 16MP front camera. Megapixel counts and lens labels do not by themselves predict skin tones, detail or low-light results, and no independent image-quality test is established here.

Rear cameras and video
Both list 50MP main and 8MP ultra-wide rear cameras. Xiaomi specifies optical image stabilisation (OIS) for the Redmi’s main camera, while OPPO lists an additional 2MP macro camera for the Reno15c. OPPO advertises 4K HDR recording at up to 60fps from the front and main cameras; Xiaomi lists 1080p recording for both front and rear cameras. These are manufacturer-listed modes, not a measure of actual footage quality.
Battery capacity and charging: what the numbers mean
Xiaomi lists a 9000mAh typical silicon-carbon battery, compared with OPPO’s 7000mAh battery. OPPO rates the Reno15c’s charging at 80W SUPERVOOC and Xiaomi lists 67W charging for the Redmi. The Redmi therefore has the larger stated capacity, while the Reno15c has the higher charging wattage. Capacity and rated wattage alone cannot establish how long either phone lasts in everyday use or how quickly it charges; usage, charger and conditions matter.

Durability, software and performance
Water and dust resistance
OPPO lists IP66, IP68 and IP69 ratings for the Reno15c. The cited Xiaomi specifications do not state a comparable Redmi rating, so the available evidence does not support a rating-based comparison for the latter.
Software and chipset
The Reno15c is listed with ColorOS 16 and a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1; the Redmi is listed with HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 and a Snapdragon 6s Gen 4. These names identify different software and chipsets, but do not establish which phone feels faster or suits a particular workload better. Software-support duration is not established in the cited official material either.

India prices and the price difference
OPPO India announced launch prices of ₹34,999 for the Reno15c with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, and ₹37,999 for its 12GB/256GB configuration. Xiaomi’s cited specifications page does not state a Redmi price.
When accessed in 2026, 91mobiles displayed a ₹36,999 Amazon listing for the Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G and an out-of-stock ₹40,999 listing for the Reno15c. These are changeable secondary retailer-page observations, not guaranteed current selling prices; the listings are not established as a matched storage comparison. They should not be used to claim a definitive price gap. Check live retailer prices for the same RAM and storage configuration before deciding.

Which one should you choose?
- Choose by screen: The Redmi’s listed display is larger, higher-resolution and 120Hz.
- Choose by selfie camera and advertised video modes: The Reno15c lists a 50MP ultra-wide front camera and 4K HDR recording up to 60fps from its front and main cameras.
- Choose by listed battery capacity: The Redmi’s stated typical capacity is higher; this alone does not prove longer real-world battery life.
- Choose by charging specification: OPPO lists 80W for the Reno15c versus Xiaomi’s 67W for the Redmi.
- Choose by stated ingress protection: OPPO explicitly lists IP66, IP68 and IP69 ratings; a comparable Redmi rating is not stated in the cited specifications.
- Choose by price only after checking: Compare current offers for the same storage configuration, since OPPO’s figures are launch prices and the observed retailer listings can change.
For gaming, general speed, camera output or battery endurance, look for comparable independent tests of the exact India models rather than inferring a winner from chipset names or manufacturer specifications.
